We’re Blockading Iran, Not the Strait

Centcom has clarified exactly what our naval forces will do, beginning tomorrow evening: So we aren’t closing the Strait, we are blockading Iranian ports. This means that Iran won’t be able to sell any oil. Two countries will be hurt: Iran and China, which buys 80% of Iranian oil. The Gulf States will be able to ship their oil through the Strait as soon as they choose to do so.
Meanwhile, we are sending vessels to the Strait to try to dispose of the mines that Iran may or may not have laid there. Other countries may aid in that effort. Iran still has a lot of small boats
Iranian negotiators failed to meet the United States on six of its key red lines during talks in Islamabad, Pakistan, over the weekend, according to a U.S. official.
An official told Breitbart News that Iran did not agree to the United States’s red lines, which include ending all uranium enrichment; dismantling all major nuclear enrichment facilities; allowing for the retrieval of highly enriched uranium; accepting a broader peace, security, and de-escalation framework that includes regional allies; ending funding for terrorist proxies Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis; and fully opening the Strait of Hormuz, charging no tolls for passage.
President Trump on Sunday announced plans to blockade the Strait of Hormuz after negotiations in Pakistan to end the Iran war collapsed.
“Effective immediately, the United States Navy, the Finest in the World, will begin the process of BLOCKADING any and all Ships trying to enter, or leave, the Strait of Hormuz,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social. “The Blockade will begin shortly. Other Countries will be involved with this Blockade. Iran will not be allowed to profit off this Illegal Act of EXTORTION.”
The president said the blockade will be enforced in an effort to stop Iran from policing the strait to its economic benefit

A mass shooting took place at a Chick-fil-A in Union Township, New Jersey on Saturday, reportedly leaving one dead and many injured as per RLS Media. The incident reportedly took place at the location along Route 22 around 8:40pm.
Authorities are reportedly investigating the incident where multiple shots were fired inside or near the place which is said to have been crowded at the time, the local news outlet added.
Many people rushed to safety as the shots rang out, causing panic at the time. As per the report at least six people were shot and one was pronounced dead at the scene. Others were taken

The U.S. military has launched operations to begin de-mining the Strait of Hormuz, U.S. Central Command (Centcom) said on Saturday.
Centcom said in a social media post highlighted by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth that two Navy guided-missile destroyers began “setting conditions” for this mission on Saturday morning.
The USS Frank E. Peterson and USS Michael Murphy have previously operated in the Arabian Gulf to help clear the strait of sea mines set by Tehran, according to Centcom.

California Congressman Eric Swalwell is one of the most reprehensible people in public life. After years of ignominy in Washington, he is running for Governor of California. At least he was until today: his campaign may be over.
Apart from the fact that he is a terrible human being and a far-left fanatic, Swalwell has a problem with women. Numerous women have now accused him of sexual harassment or worse. Of course, they could all be making it up. But California’s Democrats aren’t betting that way.

Vice President JD Vance said the US and Iran failed to strike a peace deal to end the six-week war rocking the Middle East, blaming Tehran’s refusal to give up its nuclear ambitions — leaving uncertainty over whether fighting will resume.

The shooting took place at a Chick-fil-A in Union, New Jersey, according to NJ.com.
It was not immediately clear how many people were shot or the extent of their injuries, but RLS Media reported at least six people were shot.
"This is an active and ongoing investigation," a spokesperson for the Union County Prosecutor’s Office told the outlet. "More information will be released as it becomes available."
Officers responded to a reported shooting just after 8:45 p.m. on Route 22 near Gelb Avenue, CBS New York reported.
