For a couple of days, I’ve been contemplating a New York Post report about New York Governor Kathy Hochul’s apparent willingness to saddle New York, a state already drowning in debt, with another $1.5 billion in obligations. How in the world could she be so fiscally irresponsible? However, having read Mike McDaniel’s essay about blue state insolvency, I finally understand what’s going on: She knows (or, at least, assumes) that the bill will never come due. On Monday’s CNN This Morning, the panel on the Audie Cornish-hosted program started with more accusations of U.S. war crimes from panelist Sarah Fitzpatrick of The Atlantic and Kim Dozier, a CNN Global Affairs Analyst. President Trump vowed Monday to catch the “leaker” who revealed that US forces were not immediately able to rescue the second F-15 pilot shot down over Iran — as he told again of the wounded airman’s dramatic weekend rescue.
