A large number of Fortune 500 companies are no longer publicly sharing their DEI/LGBT policies, according to a new report. Every year, the so-called Human Rights Campaign (HRC) demands that Fortune 500 companies publicly share their DEI/LGBT policies by participating in the HRC Corporate Equality Index (CEI).” But this year, only 131 Fortune 500 companies complied, down from the 377 that complied in 2025, as reported by Fox News.According to the HRC, this doesn’t really mean anything, as the companies that chose not to participate still have DEI/LGBT policies on their books. “While fewer companies elected to participate publicly, the data do not indicate a rollback of workplace inclusion,”

"More than half of workers (54.2%) at organizations that publicly scaled back diversity and inclusion efforts reported experiencing stigma or bias in the past year" Experience, especially with liberals, is a perceptual issue. Simply reading about the cutback in transparency could be perceived as bias, even though the person "perceiving" that was treated no differently than before. One of the funniest things I "perceive" is that so many LGBTQ... people choose to self identify by acting/dressing/being WEIRD; Colored hair, piercings, tatoos, message clothing, affectations in behavior and speech,... It's like the old KMart flashing blue light specials, it grabs your attention and not necessarily in a good way. What does being WEIRD mean to ME? Can I trust a weird person? If I work with them, can I count on them to get the job done. Does being weird override other social behaviors? What does it mean that someone DEMANDS to sit on the fringes of society and gets in our face and DEMANDS that we accept them? What would it mean if someone decided that they could play a certain type of music that most people found annoying and DEMANDED the right to play it wherever they went at loud volumes and tell us they feel we are biased against them when we want them to turn it off? If someone is LGBTQ... and doesn't advertise it and scream it to the universe, would we even know? If most non LGBTQ... go out in public, does anyone know their sexual preferences or activities? Nope. They are private. Personal. If a non LGBTQ... wears revealing or suggestive clothing, don't many people react badly to that because the one dressed that way are pushing their personal life into public beyond norms allow. If you want to publically act out, don't be surprised when most people don't simply accept it. We are surrounded by all types of social norms, accepted by most because they are understood by almost everyone. Stop whining when you decide to be an oddball and people react negatively to you. If you break out yodelling at work or in a public place, don't be shocked if people tell you to shut up.

I guess that Fortune 500 companies have realized that meeting HRC DEI/GLBTQ quotas does nothing for the bottom line.

Good comments, all. DEI affects the bottom line a lot by the requirement to hire less talented and productive people and also a DEI director or department to manage them, which are new and required positions that do not work on core company projects. It also slows down productive people by their need to interact with the less productive and mentor them. The normalcy-challenged people do not have to advertise their abnormality but some feel obligated to do so by their groups' accepted messaging like green hair, facial jewelry, weird attire and their own language (i.e. pronouns). The one that I haven't figured out yet is the need for white boys to mount soundstage-sized speakers in their cars, open all of the windows and blast sound waves of RAP crap throughout the neighborhood. What are they advertising except their preference for four-letter words, false black identity and damaged eardrums?

Good....but this leaves 1/3 of them still hiring and promoting fools who don't merit hiring or promoting. The good news is that marketplace performance of the DEI lovers will suffer over time as their staffs are less competent than their competitors.

Back in the day, if a company wanted to do business with the government, they had to embrace AA with open arms and provide statistics. DEI is more of the same. It is gradually disappearing (as did AA), but not gone yet.

That's only reported elimination of DEI policies. Many companies will keep a 'silent' DEI in place because they're afraid of backlash.

Don't look now, but FCC Chairman Brendan Carr and Jim Acosta agree on something: President Donald Trump is "winning" his effort to reshape the media landscape in his second term. Appearing on the "Power Lines" podcast with his fellow ardent leftists Oliver Darcy and Jon Passantino, Acosta glumly proclaimed, "I don't think it takes a rocket scientist to figure out that Donald Trump is winning in his, you know, quest to reshape the media in this country that he's cracked the code on how to hurt the press in the U.S." Acosta recently testified at a Democrat pseudo-hearing before Sen. Democrats are losing their grip on reality. I don’t mean that they’re going crazy. That ship sailed around the time they started saying “sex assigned at birth.” I mean, they’re literally losing the ability to shape the narratives that determine what most Americans perceive as “reality.” They know it’s happening, and they know exactly who to blame: a Trump-aligned billionaire named David Ellison. Last year, his film production company Skydance (which gave us the refreshingly patriotic “Top Gun: Maverick”) bought Paramount, giving Ellison ownership of CBS News. A few months later, he bought news site The Free Press and installed its founder — anti-woke, classical liberal Bari Weiss — as CBS’s editor-in-chief.

Despite being on the receiving end of attacks for three weeks and counting, Gulf Arab leaders are making headlines after making it unmistakably clear they have no intention of seeking a ceasefire with Iran. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has laid mines in the Strait of Hormuz, threatening a chokepoint through which roughly 20 percent of the world's oil supply flows, while simultaneously launching missile and drone strikes against Muslim-majority neighbors across the region. The Gulf states' refusal to stand down reflects a hard-won recognition: Iran's jihadi rulers maintain a hit list far beyond Israel and America, including the model for a peaceful Middle East pioneered by the Abraham Accords.

Italy’s move comes as countries around the world, including Japan, South Korea and Germany, are turning back to coal to alleviate the spiralling energy crisis. What must Iran agree to in any cease-fire deal? The headline concessions are obvious: Hand over all nuclear material, destroy all nuke capabilities, open the Strait of Hormuz and stop killing your own people. (We’d add “destroy all missile capabilities,” but the US and Israeli strikes have already done most of that.) Tehran would also need to commit to cooperate in serious verification and monitoring of its compliance, with the details to be worked out within a set number of weeks en route to a full peace agreement — but definitely to include “anywhere, anytime” inspections. The price for peace should also include Tehran’s commitment to internal reforms:
