Fraud Ring Used Fake Doctors’ Orders
in $61.5M Medicare Scheme

This is just the obvious fraud under our health system. When you add in the fraud from the hospitals and doctors that has been going on since the inception of Medicare, the fraud is in the trillions of dollars. The fraud includes over billing, billing for procedures not done, billings for doctors that did nothing for you, billing codes upsized, billings where the patient had 2 insurances, and much more.

The question is why don't Democrats have a concern about the fraud and waste? It only seems to be Republicans who are concerned and uncovering these schemes to defraud the United States government. The presumption is the Democrats are benefiting from these schemes with $$ flowing into their campaigns (or offshore accounts). After all, look at the MN case where they discovered a switch was open, they closed it, but later allowed it to be open again so the fraud scheme would continue. Trump might be right when he says the budget could likely be balanced if all these fraud schemes were closed down. The GOP should frame this in blanket TV ads by insinuating people's taxes could be reduced if the fraud wasn't present (they still pay for those health care items for those who are truly using them, right?) considering they're paying for the fraud too. Then, the same politicians ask for more when they never really needed it for actual care items.

How can the orthopedic people who make orthopedic devices take $50 dollars worth of material and another $50 dollars worth of labor and charge $1400 dollars for a back brace.

It's worse than that #3. Those replacement hips and knees have inflated prices as well. My sister worked as a sales rep for a large medical company, and one day she asked me to go out and get a box out of her car. The box was about the size of a shoe box and she said," Don't drop it the box, it has about a hundred thousand dollars worth of hip implants in it."

Is there NO cross checking in this industry? Does the government EVER actually audit any of this stuff?

The real problem are the Federal/State governments that just reimburse these thieves. Most government workers JUST make the payment without questioning the request for reimbursement. There should be periodic audits. If the government wants to resolve this problem, start putting responsible people in those jobs NOT DEI hires.

I have no doubt that the bad guys can rip off the taxpayers faster than the good guys can prosecute them. Perhaps we need to kick the punishment up a level or two to get everyone's attention.

Dems gotta be running outta OPM by now! Maybe 'Mars Attacks' movie plot could be a restoration handbook? Completely destroy D.C. & start over with leadership & guidance of Our Nation to the ones who figured out what we do & don't need to survive, then task the first lucid/breathing 100 taxpayers of the phone directory to run it. Fake Doctors....That means I can be a Fake Judge and sentence the Fraudsters all to DEATH!

Fraud is rampant in everything and no one cares. There was a fraud auto-draft from my checking account. Did a quick search and many people had just experienced similar amounts by same "business". Went to bank and they said I must have told them to withdraw that money. Ridiculous. I asked what does it take for someone to be authorized to do a draft against my account. They told me all they need to know is my bank account number and the banks number. I protested that that's known to anyone who has ever gotten a check from me. The bank said they can only draft money if I have given them authorization. I asked how do you know I have authorized them. The bank said, they tell us so. How do you know they aren't laying? They had no answer. The bank said don't worry it's covered under FDIC so you won't lose any money. So they removed that draft, closed down that compromised account, and give me a new account. The auto-draft system is completely insecure and the banks don't care because the government gives them the money to cover the loss. But the customer has to spend hours/days converting to a new account number, new checks, numerous phone calls. So checks are insecure. Auto drafts insecure. I asked the bank if I could get an account that refuses any auto-draft but there is still a way to pay my bills. Nope. So the best thing left is to just have a non-checking savings account, draw out several thousand every month or two. Use the cash to buy money orders. And pay my bills with those.
