Facts are a harsh mistress. And nobody seems more incapable of grasping facts than Democrats in general, and New York's Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul in particular. In her latest embarrassing slip-up, the climate law she supported, and the Empire States ever-more-onerous taxes are driving all the wealthy people, the people who start and run businesses and provide jobs, out of the state. Now, because of the green policies, utility rates are climbing, meaning that a big chunk of the rest of the residents of New York are looking to the exits as well. Now Governor Hochul wants to delay full implementation of the lunatic climate laws,

Pretty soon, Gov. Hochul's eyebrows will join Alice Kramden on the moon. What a thoroughgoing fool she is! Still into Green! How smart of her. Not.

Sounds like a finger in the dike solution. She admits the high costs and people leaving are the fault of the Democrats but only wants to slow the bad policies down, not reverse course. Example, the company I work for moved all production to AZ stating the increasing costs of the utilities due to these same types of 'green' policies in CA made it cost effective to move. The affected workers were moved if they wanted, no cut in salary.

No. END it. Real power, like natural gas, coal, and nuclear are the future of central electricity. Stop with the expensive, unreliable solar and wind baloney.

A typical fossil fuel steam turbine generates 1GW (1,000 MW). To generate an eqivalent average output solar requires 100 sq miles. NY needs about 41GW. So 4,100 sq miles are needed. Stripped of all wildlife and vegetation.

Jeff Webb, a man seen as a “mentor” to the late Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, died Thursday at the age of 76 from a pickleball accident. Varsity Spirit, the cheerleading organization founded by Webb, announced that Webb suffered from severe head trauma after falling during a pickleball game two weeks before his death. His family eventually decided to take him off life support. Webb was a conservative political activist and close confidant to Kirk, who died from a gunshot wound to the neck on Sept. 10, 2025. He frequently spoke about Kirk’s impact following the assassination, and once said the nation lost a potential future president.

The family of Sheridan Gorman, the 18-year-old Loyola University Chicago freshman gunned down near the campus by an illegal alien, unleashed a blistering condemnation of anyone suggesting she somehow contributed to her own killing by being in the "wrong place at the wrong time." The damning response comes as Chicago Alderwoman Maria Hadden suggested Gorman and her friends may have unintentionally startled the armed suspect. "The kids were out doing normal things people do in the neighborhood," Hadden told Fox 32. "They may have been in the wrong place at the wrong time, running into a person who had a gun." JFK (with help from the willing press) hid his health issues from the public because he didn't want to appear weak. Today's Democrat presidential hopefuls want the public to know they're all hurt little children inside because literally everything is stupid. Go on and accuse me of indulging in hyperbole — and I'll grant you that not literally everything is stupid — but your 2028 Democrats really are engaged in a contest to present themselves to the public as the most damaged.

There was a time in America’s history when acts of treason and espionage were punished properly. In 1951, Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were convicted of conspiracy to commit espionage for the Soviet Union under the Espionage Act of 1917. They were executed in 1953. Today, China is at war with the U.S. Beijing is rapidly building up its conventional military capabilities while conducting an all-encompassing unrestricted warfare campaign against the U.S. and its allies. The U.S. is estimated to lose hundreds of billions of dollars annually due to intellectual property theft and industrial espionage. In its last days, Cuba’s Communist regime is moving from the realm of tragedy into that of farce. Currently, left-wingers from around the world are gathering in Havana to show support for Cuba’s government. Former Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn is there, along with other die-hard Communists. In America, a Code Pink delegation has gotten the most attention. These are horrible people engaged in poverty tourism at great expense. As readers likely have seen over time, the Democrats seem to take women for granted for their votes, something that may prove incorrect in the upcoming midterms, after some of today's votes putting them on record.

The international covid shutdowns were among the worst public policy disasters (or crimes) of modern times, and yet there has been no accountability. In the Telegraph, Daniel Hannan sums up the effects of the shutdowns on Britain: “Six years on, the Covid lockdowns are still ruining our lives.” Was there truly a legal argument about whether a Scotch egg counted as a meal? Were we actually offered guidance on the correct way to have sex (avoid kissing and, if possible, keep your mask on)? And that weird ritual whereby, when restaurants reopened, we would put our masks on to walk to our table and then remove them.

Sun Tzu was a Chinese general who lived around 544–496 BC. He is traditionally regarded as the author of The Art of War, frequently quoted for his good sense concerning the initiation and prosecution of war. In these testing times, it seemed appropriate to have a skim through what he had to say and pick out some of his maxims and consider who, if anyone, has been following them in recent weeks: All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must seem inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away,

Anno Domini 2020 changed America, and not for the better. The canonization of Saint George Floyd of Fentanyl birthed the “Summer of Love” that badly damaged the blue cities that embraced it, and did worse damage to American’s respect for the rule of law. And the multitude of hoaxes foisted on Americans by our public health establishment over Covid did probably irreversible damage to American’s faith in those public health bureaucrats in particular and science in general. To be sure, Americans still recognize the difference between actual scientists rigorously employing the Scientific Method as opposed to political hacks and power seekers employing angry, arrogant rhetoric, but few if any

This is one heck of an explosive viral story. It starts with claims about low-IQ Africans and just takes off from there. It all started when an Africa-based research team decided to challenge and prove wrong a very long-standing claim in Western circles about low IQ levels in African countries. Instead of continuing to argue about it, they decided to put these claims to the test. They conducted a large-scale IQ assessment in Lagos, Nigeria, with a mixed bag of participants over the age of 16.The results were not what they wanted and are what’s going viral. As it turns out, those “Western circles” were right all along.

The Supreme Court ‘s conservative majority on Monday sounded skeptical of state laws that allow the counting of late-arriving mail ballots, a persistent target of President Donald Trump. The court heard arguments in a case from Mississippi that also could affect voters in 13 other states and the District of Columbia, which have grace periods for ballots cast by mail. An additional 15 states that have more forgiving deadlines for ballots from military and overseas voters also could be impacted. A ruling is expected by late June, early enough to govern the counting of ballots in the 2026 midterm congressional elections.
