A massive explosion at a Texas crude oil refinery shot up towering plumes of dark smoke and physically shook locals’ homes before they were ordered to shelter in place Monday.
A loud boom resounded throughout the western part of Port Arthur, Texas on Monday afternoon when part of a Valero refinery exploded, local outlets reported.
Clouds of black smoke spilled out of the refinery, sparking health concerns among residents and forcing city officials to put out a shelter-in-place order for the west end.
One resident at the scene told 12News that the entire area reeked of rotten eggs — a smell commonly associated with sulfur.

Democrats are furious that President Donald Trump took action against Iran with Operation Epic Fury.
But one of the things that you wouldn't hear from them is how his action puts paid to one of their favorite fictions about Trump - the Russia collusion fiction, that Trump is somehow in the pocket of Russia. Well, he's pounding one of their principal allies, which he would not do if he were in Putin's pocket. So once again, the Democrat narrative gets blown up.
Trump said he was in talks with an Iranian leader that were productive, and for that reason, he said he held off on hitting

An Air Canada flight attendant was violently thrown from the plane that crashed into a fire truck at LaGuardia Airport on Sunday night — and was still strapped into her jump seat when she was found, sources said.
“It’s a complete miracle,” the woman’s daughter, Sarah Lépine, told Quebec outlet TVA Nouvellas.
“At the moment of impact, her seat was ejected more than a [300 feet] from the plane,” Lépine said of her flight-attendant mom, Solange Tremblay. “They found her, and she was still strapped into her seat. She had a guardian angel watching over her. It could have been much worse.” Tremblay suffered multiple injuries,

Tens of thousands of cattle have been culled in Russia, with fears that the animals were infected by a leak from a bioweapons research plant.
Thousands of animals have been killed amid furious protests from farmers in Siberia, with authorities giving differing accounts as to the reason why.
Some have cited an outbreak of ‘pasteurellosis’, which can normally be treated with antibiotics.
Disease control specialists have told farmers there was also an outbreak of ‘incurable rabies’, without citing evidence.

Donald Trump just dipsey-doodled the Democrats.
Only Trump can find leverage in the Democrats' TSA defunding — turning those broke, unpaid TSA agents and the disastrously long lines at the nation's airports into a teachable, brilliant, GOTCHA moment to behold. When Democrats figure out what hit them, they'll be so tattooed with this disaster, even the leftist screechers will lead the effort to restore TSA funding.
Things will change soon because local media in the woke cities are covering the increasing freak out by leftists because Donald Trump is replacing missing, unpaid, TSA agents with paid, and perhaps even masked, ICE agents

President Trump announced Monday he is calling off strikes on Iranian power plants for five days, claiming the mullahs in Tehran are now seeking a resolution after feeling the full pressure of his threat.
The President, over the weekend, had given Iran an ultimatum—open the Strait of Hormuz, or he would order the complete obliteration of their power plants within 48 hours. With the deadline ticking down, Trump has given the battered Iranian regime a bit of an extension.
"I am pleased to report that the United States of America, and the country of Iran, have had, over the last two days, very good and productive conversations regarding

President Trump said on Monday that he has not been in contact with Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei during ongoing negotiations with the country.
“We’re dealing with a man, who I believe is the most respected and the leader,” Trump told reporters in Palm Beach, Fla. “We have not heard from the son,” he said, referring to Khamenei. “Every once in a while you’ll see a statement made [from Khamenei] but we don’t know if he’s living,” Trump said.

President Trump on Monday said U.S. strikes on Iran energy infrastructure would halt for five days after “very good” and “productive” conversations with leaders in Tehran.
In a Monday morning Truth Social post, Trump wrote in all-caps that the U.S. and Iran “over the last two days” have had “conversations regarding a complete and total resolution of our hostilities in the Middle East. “Based on the tenor and tone of these in depth, detailed and constructive conversations,” which he said would carry on “throughout the week,” the president has “instructed the Department of War to postpone any and all military strikes against Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte appeared on "Face the Nation" to talk about the Strait of Hormuz and the threats from Iran.
Rutte explained that the good news was that 22 countries were coming together to make sure that the Strait of Hormuz was free. He explained they'd always gotten things achieved before, as when President Donald Trump had gotten things like the NATO allies to pay their 5 percent share, which helped to provide for greater defense. He said he was "absolutely convinced" they could do the job when it came to Iran. Most of the 22 are NATO countries. Others involved also included Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand,

Saturday night saw Israel experience its largest casualty event since the start of the war with Iran three weeks ago, when two ballistic missiles struck residential neighborhoods in the southern cities of Arad and Dimona, injuring nearly 200 people — most of whom were not in bomb shelters at the time of impact.
Although Iran claimed to have targeted the nearby Dimona nuclear facility, it was local civilians who bore the brunt of the attack.
In Arad, 88 people were treated by Magen David Adom first responders, 10 of them seriously, including a 5-year-old girl. Beersheba’s Soroka Medical Center said it treated a total of 115 people

In a post on Truth Social, Trump explained that if Democrat lawmakers “don’t immediately sign an agreement” to fund DHS, he would place ICE agents at airports to “do Security like no one has ever seen before,” including allowing them to arrest all illegal aliens in the United States.
