The Supreme Court ‘s conservative majority on Monday sounded skeptical of state laws that allow the counting of late-arriving mail ballots, a persistent target of President Donald Trump.
The court heard arguments in a case from Mississippi that also could affect voters in 13 other states and the District of Columbia, which have grace periods for ballots cast by mail. An additional 15 states that have more forgiving deadlines for ballots from military and overseas voters also could be impacted.
A ruling is expected by late June, early enough to govern the counting of ballots in the 2026 midterm congressional elections.

No mail-in ballots exvcept for special cases permitted in he past. These should not be mailed out to all voters.

FTAForcing states to change their practices just a few months before the election risks “confusion and disenfranchisement
What confusion? Election day dates are known well in advance. I could look up the date of the presidential election 100 years from now and give the exact dates. Dems count on scooping up boatloads of ballots to tip the scales in their favor.

Late arriving ballots are the ballots the Democrats need to push the ballot count to a win for the Democrats.

So they should be. There are many things in life where "late" equals TOO LATE, forget it, you missed out, your fault.
Voting should be set up with a hard deadline.
No fudging.

The demorats like to wait until the vote comes in and then see how many votes they need to win and then produce them.

Poster #7, you are absolutely. In King County (Seattle) Washington that is what always happens. I've often thought the other counties should withhold their voter count until King County is finished with theirs. That way they wouldn't know how many ballots in their favor they have to manufacture.

"Late arriving " = lately created to shift the election.
They don't know how many fake ballots to create until the real ballots are all counted.

You just can't beat a Sotomayor question for fantasy. FTA, "Forcing states to change their practices just a few months before the election risks “confusion and disenfranchisement,” Every southern state in the Union has had multip[le elections altered by courts late in the election cycle. All in the name of quota districts. Sine the courts have no9 trouble imposing last minute changes when it favors quotas, why not other voters?
FTA, "Sotomayor had earlier needled Clement that under the ruling he sought, the Bush v. Gore decision that decided the 2000 election in favor of Republican George W. Bush would have come out differently because military ballots that broke heavily for Bush in his 537-vote win wouldn’t have been counted. Clement disputed the point" Really? A Supreme Court Associate Jeter hasn't a clue what that ruling was about? It had nothing to do with late ballots and everything with selective recall process made up after the election in violation of the Consititutionand deny9ing all other counties in Florida equal protection.
Note the AssPress didn't mention Brown's moron question so you know they were really Doozies!

Every election I receive a mail-in ballot here in Virginia. I like to go in early to vote in person because I have a hard time standing in long lines. I just take the mail-in ballot with me, unopened, and make sure they void it. This practice ought to be stopped in its tracks. If a person actually has a good reason (not excuse) for not being able to vote in person and show ID, they should have to contact their voting precinct, state their reason, and request a mail-in ballot. When I asked why I keep getting one, I was told it is just easier to send them out to everyone than wait until they are requested.

Typical AP article following the liberal narrative that there is no voter fraud. Makes claims with no source other than the writer’s opinions.

If a healthy US citizen is too lazy or stupid to figure how and when and where to vote in person on Election Day - then unregister yourself. Unless you are active duty military deployed overseas or even in CONUS (but are registered to vote in another state where you claim legal residence), will be out country on travel or unable to vote in person due to medical condition or work demands, then get off your rear and go vote in person.

As an election day, commissioner-in-charge at a Louisiana polling place, even my wife has to show me her ID and with the amount of voters set in each ward/district, we've never had to hold the polls open past quitting time. And the following morning, the results are known.
If the lame media can publish the results in real time, there obviously isn't a problem getting the vote count. It's the cheating that takes time, because the cheaters don't know how many fraudulent votes they need, until the polls close.

When you find that you are a few thousand fraudulent votes shy of what is needed to win an election, let’s face it. It takes time to produce a few thousand more fraudulent ballots to change the outcome of the election. So a couple of more weeks after Election Day to create them and mail them in is a big help in winning.
It’s funny how late mail deliver gets around Election Day.
