President Donald Trump's declaration that he won't sign any new bills until the Senate passes voter ID threatens to derail his own legislative priorities and sideline confirmation of the newest addition to his cabinet. Trump wants Senate Republicans to ram the Safeguarding American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) America Act through the upper chamber with the talking filibuster, even at the cost of the Senate's most valuable commodity: floor time.

U.S. Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) is proposing a bill that, if passed, would make the first $75,000 of a household income tax free.
If the bill -- called the Keep Your Pay Act -- passes, it would more than double the standard deduction for taxpayers.
Under Booker’s proposal, which was revealed Monday, the median American family would see their taxes cut by roughly 85%. Single filers and heads of households would also receive proportional tax relief through the Keep Your Pay Act.
In a video advocating his bill, Booker said in part: "The tax system, we all know this, is rigged. It’s rigged against working people and all full of things to help

Chuck Schumer is promoting the SAVE Act without even realizing it.
While speaking to the press this week, the clearly panicked senator said that the SAVE Act would purge millions of people from the voter rolls. Does he mean illegal aliens and dead people? It’s probably safe to assume he does.
This is exactly why millions of patriotic Americans support the SAVE Act, Chuck.Chuck Schumer criticized the proposed SAVE America Act, claiming that the legislation could purge millions from voter rolls.
The Senate minority leader also took aim at tech billionaire Elon Musk, alleging that an AI-driven system linked to his efforts could remove voters without notice.

The Bank of England is to end the tradition of printing images of great Britons on the verso of paper money notes, stating it has decided to proceed with pictures of wildlife instead after it wanted something “not divisive”.
Sir Winston Churchill will no longer grace the pockets of Britons after it was announced the 50-year practice of printing portraits of famous Britons on the opposite side of notes from that of the reigning monarch is to end. The Bank of England, which issues money on behalf of the government, said in a statement on the change, emphasised that the change was supported by their research into public taste,

In yet another blatant betrayal of President Donald Trump and the America First agenda, Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) has once again shown his true RINO colors by flatly refusing to make any changes to Senate rules that would allow the critical SAVE America Act to pass.
This comes as Trump ramps up pressure on the GOP establishment to secure our elections before the midterms, but Thune is more interested in protecting the swamp than fighting for the American people.
“Yeah, that’s not going to happen,” Thune said on Monday when pressed by ABC News about altering the Senate’s 60-vote threshold to advance legislation.

Tuesday on MS NOW’s “The Briefing,” Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) said President Donald Trump would try to “seize ballot boxes’ to “subvert the vote” in the midterm elections.
Host Jen Psaki said, “The administration subpoenaed records from 2020 from Arizona. We know that’s not about changing the outcome of the 2020 election. We know that they’ve already gone through that. It’s obviously about 2026. What do you make of that and what’s your level of concern about it?”
Schiff said, “I think the subpoenas in Arizona, America, Maricopa County, the FBI raid in Georgia, this is all trying to establish some kind of phony predicate

A left-wing activist network is training liberals how to slip onto juries in federal cases and then vote “not guilty” to derail prosecutions brought by the Trump Justice Department.
Recordings and training materials tied to the group Freedom Trainers show activists being coached on how to conceal their left-wing views during jury selection and then use jury nullification once they are seated on a jury. The webinars, slide decks, and pamphlets behind the effort all push the same approach: Blend in during selection, say the right things to get seated, and use the jury room to block convictions.

The Trump administration’s messaging on America’s military involvement in Iran has been, to put it lightly, a mess. And it’s clear after listening to his remarks about the conflict that Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., is not helping the situation. Since the U.S.-Israeli-led operation against Tehran began, Graham has rushed to every microphone and television camera available to express his unbridled enthusiasm about the campaign. When he isn’t bragging about how much money the U.S. is going to make as a result of the conflict, he’s calling for more American intervention in countries like Cuba and Lebanon.

Disgraced Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein has moaned he was punched in the face by a fellow Rikers Island inmate and is “constantly threatened and derided” by other prisoners.
Weinstein made his claim in a self-pitying one-hour interview with the Hollywood Reporter conceding he “wouldn’t last long” among the general prison population while despairing Gwyneth Paltrow betrayed him with sexual harassment claims.
Weinstein, who uses a wheelchair to compensate for his lack of mobility, insisted safety concerns at the notorious New York City lockup have kept him confined to his cell for 23 hours a day because when he is out of confinement bad things happen.

James Talarico is a creep.
I don't say that merely because I think he is wrong on just about everything. I say that because he is, objectively, really really creepy.
As in "check his hard drive," creepy. (X) David French, though, finds Talarico utterly delightful and a model for how a Christian should be. And he is deeply disturbed that evangelicals aren't flocking to this creep and embracing him as the most Christian guy on earth. (X) You will recall that French insisted he was voting for Kamala Harris because of his own pro-life convictions, which he has paraded for decades. He is also a convert on trans issues,

A top Iranian security official made a thinly veiled threat against Donald Trump’s life on Tuesday after the U.S. President warned of massive strikes against Iran if it blocked oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz.
"Iran doesn't fear your empty threats. Even those bigger than you couldn't eliminate Iran. Be careful not to get eliminated yourself,” Ali Larijani, the head of the Iranian National Security Council, posted on X.
The threat came in response to Trump’s post on TruthSocial that if Iran doesn’t allow oil shipment to resume in the Strait of Hormuz, the U.S. would hit Iran “twenty times harder” than they have been hit so far.

The French Navy will send eight frigates and two amphibious assault ships to the Eastern Mediterranean and Red Sea, joining aircraft carrier FS Charles De Gaulle (R91), following an Iranian drone attack on a Cyprus-based joint operating installation. “While the crisis in Iran – the war in Iran – is affecting the entire region, it is important for me to come here alongside you, along with the Prime Minister of Greece, to tell you that when Cyprus is attacked, it is Europe that is attacked, and that the defense of Cyprus is obviously a crucial issue for your country, (snip) but also for France and, with it, the European Union,”
