South Carolina Republicans are taking a victory lap. In an off-year election, days before a major holiday, they managed to pull off wins for three state legislator seats. Former state senator Lee Bright put his hat back into the ring and won the District 12 seat, gaining 68 percent of the vote over a progressive write-in candidate. The results are clear from Tuesday’s special election — Lee Bright is heading back to the South Carolina Senate to represent District 12. He won with 68.43% of the vote, while the remaining 31.57% of the vote went toward write-in ballots. Bright, known for his vocal conservatism,

There’s an episode of The Simpsons from the third season where the character Sideshow Bob marries Bart's Aunt Selma to kill her. When his scheme falls apart and he's hauled back to jail, he shouts, "I'll be back. You can't keep the Democrats out of the White House forever, and when they get in, I'm back on the streets with all my criminal buddies." I thought about that line today when I read that under Trump's second term, the United States is on track for the most significant single-year drop in murders ever recorded. According to Asher's Real-Time Crime Index (RTCI), the United States is on track for the biggest single-year

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney ruled that the Republican-led Georgia Election Board will have access to 2020 presidential ballots and documents, but it will have to cover the $400,000 cost of producing the materials. He also asserted that Fulton County taxpayers will not be on the hook for the $400,000 that the production of the documents are estimated to cost.

Written on Christmas Eve, 2025. A personal reflection on faith, loss, ancestry, and finding my way home. This Christmas, life is really different for me. Since September, I’ve been attending RCIA, or Catechism, with the aim of converting to Catholicism and joining the church. Presently, I’m about 40% of the way through, and to say it’s been eye-opening would be the boldest understatement I’ve ever made.

Intersectionality does not get the attention that Critical Race Theory and Diversity Equity and Inclusion receive, but it’s the source for CRT and DEI. It’s the mother’s milk of group identity theory. Intersectionality received attention about a decade ago when “intersectional feminism” was a thing, but largely faded away from scrutiny as it’s offspring, CRT and DEI captured education and society, particularly post-George Floyd. But it never really went away. Intersectionality was repurposed as the foundation for attacking Israel by building racial and ethnic groups identity coalitions. Mayor Karen Bass and her DEI hires at the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) were caught red-handed covering up their and the state's response to the deadly and devastating Palisades Fire by changing or erasing the records in the city's official after-action report. The deletions and distortions were so severe that the author of the after-action report requested that his name be removed from the publication. The cover-up and retconning of the report, however, will never cover up the 12 deaths, thousands of lives upended, billions lost, and thousands of homes and businesses wiped out by that Palisades firestorm on Jan. 7, 2025. The Democratic Party’s principal fundraising committee saw donations slump in the second-to-last month of the year, recording just a $12 million campaign war chest and almost $16 million still in debt due to a loan taken out the previous month, Federal Election Commission filings show. The fundraising doldrums come amid party infighting over whether to release a 2024 autopsy report on the failed Biden-Harris campaign and pressure ahead of the critical 2026 midterms, in which Democrats want to retake Congress. The Democratic National Committee listed a little more than $12.6 million cash on hand, $10.7 million raised,

Don’t worry, because next year will be much worse,” Meloni said, as reported by Italian outlet Ansa.So rest properly during these holidays, because we must continue to give answers to this extraordinary nation,” she continued.

The tabulation tapes in question included 315,000 votes -- exponentially more than the 11,780 votes mentioned by President Trump in his fateful phone call to Raffensperger in January, 2021. Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger's downplaying of a 2020 election blunder as a mere "clerical error" has done little to quiet a growing backlash within his own party. Far from accepting Raffensperger's explanation that Fulton County's failure to properly sign tabulation tapes "does not erase valid, legal votes," 2020 election skeptics are calling for a federal investigation into what they view as a massive coverup. The bold move signals a sharp and definitive break from years of deference—and even subservience—to Brussels’ ever-increasing, draconian regulatory ambitions. Secretary of State Marco Rubio rightly framed the action as a defense of American free speech against what he described as organized, ideological pressure from abroad. He made it crystal clear that the era of tolerating overseas attempts to silence U.S. voices and American positions is over.
