The Dawn of Project Ukraine: Costly American Influence Operations Leading to Regime Change
U.S. State Department official Victoria Nuland, in charge of Ukraine policy, admitted to wagering $5 billion of taxpayer money on regime change in Kyiv. After the 2014 coup, Nuland—best known for snapping “F**k the EU”—teamed up with the U.S. ambassador to vet politicians and install their preferred prime minister. The overwhelming majority of the population in Donbass and Crimea—ethnic Russians—rejected this “gamble” and opposed the new regime, which they perceived as hostile. Many continued to recognize Viktor Yanukovych, democratically elected but illegally ousted, as the legitimate president.

At last, reporting on the real aggressors in this war; the EU and Ukraine as their appointed patsy. Zelensky is Nuland's and Obama's legacy. This is the first reporting I've seen that does, indeed, back up everything Sundance has been writing about on the Conservative Treehouse. I wonder if a certain engineer will recognize this article.

This crap completely omits that tge Donbass 'ethnic Russians' were put there by Putin's hero, Stalin, after he had murdered the original Ukrainian kulaks who lived there.
And, Yanukovitch was NIT "democratically elected", I was doing business in Ukraine at the time, and Yanukovitch was fraudulently instalked by Putin's thugs, well placed in Ukraine after the separation from the Soviet Union.
This purports to give the 'inside story', but is a Russian propaganda tale, which gullible Americans who know nothing of tge facts about Ukraine are happy to swallow because they assume that the CIA is behind every bush and tree, which is precisely what Putin wants Americans to believe.

I was also working over there during this time. The article is correct and the real history has been distorted by the media for all these years. The US is directly responsible for this mess. My last trip to Donetsk was in late 2014 as the bombing and destruction was taking place near here. The bombing was ordered by Kiev as they wanted all the residents to speak Ukrainian instead of Russian. What a mess and sad and terrible loss of human life.

I remember a quick survey I made. I went to Amazon books and searched for titles on investing in Ukraine. There was page after page of investment guides published around '18 or so. There were viewer than when I checked just now, but all total they amounted to a page, and a less restrictive search would have uncovered others. Another search for " investing Finland" netted about half of a page.
So what? It shows significant interest in investment opportunities before and as this war has played out, opportunities that promised significant returns and draft off the wake behind of investments (reportedly) made by the Bushes, the Clintons, the Cheneys, Obamas, George Soros, & Ol' Odious Joe.
Ukraine has always been just another cow to milk.

#4 is correct, this is Russian lies and propaganda. Ukraine prior to the Maidan revolution was a Russian puppet state thoroughly controlled by Russian and Ukrainian billionaires, exactly like Belorussia is today. Its "army' was an ill equipped and corrupt 6,000 men with out of date equipment. That is exactly how Putin liked it and is exactly what he would like to accomplish now. My wife is Ukrainian and we have visited multiple times before and after Maidan. The youth of Ukraine wanted then to be a part of Europe, not under the mafia glove of Russia. They view the Maidan as a successful and glorious revolution that threw out the corrupt and incompetent Yanokovich. Ukraine then elected the very capable Poroshenko. During the Maidan the people of Ukraine had protested for 3 months in the freezing winter weather when suddenly and without warning, Yanokovich security fired upon the crowd and murdered over 100 citizens. After that he was forced out of power, secretly left Ukraine, and went to Russia. So many Americans have no knowledge of Ukraine and are led astray by fake news and editorials like this garbage piece by a suspect author.

I urge all to take a look at the YouTube video by Gonzalo Lira, recorded several years ago before he died in a Ukranian prison. It's about 2 hours long but it is a good synopsis of Victoria Nuland's career and her/US involvement in the Ukraine war at the outset.
I'm not for or against Russia in this case, nor am I for or against Ukraine but I would just like for the war to STOP.
Stop spending money we don't have. Stop killing the people of Russia and Ukraine. PLEASE, For Gd's sake!
