One doesn’t need to be the Oracle of Delphi to foretell the coming of the vile Zohran Mamdani as the next mayor of New York. It’s almost unbelievable. Mamdani’s father is Mahmood Mamdani, the Herbert Lehman Professor of Government and Professor of Anthropology and Middle Eastern, South Asian, and African Studies at — you may have heard — Columbia University. That is all too believable. Yesterday’s Wall Street Journal carried Tunku Varadarajan’s review of Professor Mamdani’s new book, the aptly titled Slow Poison. Varadarajan writes: Mahmood Mamdani has written a startling book. Startling, not because of the writing—which is often repetitive, tediously autobiographical and awash with anticolonial pieties—but because “Slow Poison”

Two things will be true. 1.) iMadman* will be elected mayor by a sufficient number of benighted New York voters. Cuomo and Sliwa don't have a chance. 2.) He will be a total failure. (*The anagram is preferable to the properly spelled name because anagrams are frequently accurate.) The fact that the paternal unit iMadman has written a glowing apologia--published at Harvard, no less--for the most famous Ugandan of the past century, Idi Amin, isn't so shocking. How bad do things have to get before New Yorkers wake up? The movie The Last King of Scotland, starring Forrest Whittaker as Idi Amin Dada, gives the viewer a clear view of what life was like in the 1970s in Uganda under him. Not pretty. The narrator, a white doctor, got hung up with a hook through his back. Amin also admitted to cannibalism, saying that human meat was saltier than leopard meat. There's a lot of human meat in the Big Apple. Is it too much to hope that they'll wake up in time? Yes. It's too much. They won't. The worst part of it is that after iMadman fails, the voters will turn to someone worse, if a worse one can be recruited for the job. Chicagoans turned from Mayor Beetlejuice to fading Brandon (no) Johnson. New York will beat that. Count on it.

Mamdani will be a failure only from a mainstream, rational point of view. Looking at it through eyes of the lunatic, left fringe he will do quite well. There are those who believe 0bama was the most outstanding President in US history.

I am thankful for #1, one of the last of the old-time thinker-posters who built and have managed to maintain Lucianne as more than a haven for what Rush called "the drivebys". This is an excellent extremely informative article. NYC is in deep trouble. What happens to the uninformed.

I have been to NYC (many, many years ago) and saw all the sights. Interesting and exciting to a teenager back then. I have no desire to return, so I won't see the collapse in person. In some ways, I am looking forward to Mandani's rule. Perhaps the coming disaster will provide some wake-up calls for some residents and more than a few tourists or media.

I have not spent much time in NYC. After 9/11 I developed ann admiration and respect for the people and particularly their mayor, Rudy Giuliani. A short 24 years later and this is where we are. Islam’s war on the West is proceeding with tremendous success. Look at Europe! Look at …NYC:( When God is driven out, Satan rushes in. Just nuke the terrorist savages. - Standing Wolf

New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani is an avowed Jew-hater who has repeatedly demonstrated over the last decade his hatred for Israel; his support for Hamas; and even his support for a “global intifada,” which, by extension, includes the destruction of the United States as we know it. And yet, according to recent polls, 43% of New York Jews are supporting him, including 67% of Jewish voters between the ages of 18 and 44. This is analogous to black voters voting for former KKK Grand Wizard David Duke (who ran for president in 1992). How is it even possible for these Jewish New Yorkers to be supporting

What's up with California's impeccably coiffed Governor Gavin "A Little Dab'll Do Ya" Newsom? He seems determined to keep allowing men and boys to play on women's and girls' competitive sports teams, despite all the evidence from biology and reality as to how unfair that is. Governor Newsom himself admitted it was unfair. And yet, caught between the Scylla of the "gender ideology" nuts and the Charybdis of the "Resist Trump at all costs" left, he keeps looking for ways to allow the cheaters to keep cheating. His latest effort is the formation of a "Sports Equity Commission", following the left's pattern of taking any ridiculous idea and

A federal grand jury in Maryland has reportedly indicted former national security adviser John Bolton. Two sources told CNN that Bolton is being indicted for allegedly sharing classified information with his wife and daughter over email. Sources previously told CNN that part of the Justice Department’s investigation centers around notes he was making to himself in an AOL email account — at times writing summaries of his activities like diary entries — when he was working for Trump. FBI agents executed a search warrant on Bolton’s Maryland home and Washington, DC, office this summer. The agents seized multiple documents labeled “secret,” “confidential,” and “classified,” including some about weapons of mass destruction,

Former Rep. Katie Porter (D-CA), the potential frontrunner for California governor, now regrets mistreating a reporter and a staffer, admitting she “could have handled things better.” Last week, Politico obtained a video of Porter cursing at a staffer while taping a meeting with the Biden administration. “Get out of my f****** shot!” Porter yelled at the staffer in the video. When the staffer issued her correction regarding a policy detail, Porter responded, “Okay. You also were in my shot before that. Stay out of my shot.” The unearthed footage came just days after a video went viral that showed Porter threatening to exit an interview with a California CBS News affiliate.

I absolutely, positively understand why liberals dislike Donald Trump's policies. He is, after all, reversing so many of the policies they love, and they have every right to object to them. But seriously, folks, get a grip. Donald Trump is not trying to be a king, and your biggest complaint is that he is actually enforcing immigration laws passed by Congress, which your preferred president did everything to subvert. The great martyr to freedom most celebrated by liberals in the media is a wife-beating human trafficker who may, or may not, be deported after a long, drawn-out legal process. In the swiftly degenerating world of western relationships one factor above all others can be identified as the culprit: Feminism. The driving force behind third-wave feminism is not the pursuit of equal rights it's the pursuit of power. Like any communist movement, unilateral power over society is the end goal. When power is the goal, such movements naturally attract narcissistic people. How can the nuclear family function when the female half of the equation is conditioned to become self serving, ego-maniacal, conflict oriented, status obsessed, victim obsessed and desperate for control? One particular trend has feminists enraged is "nose ring theory"
