I congratulate @POTUS on this historic peace plan that releases all the hostages,” Fetterman wrote in a post on X. “Now, enduring peace in the region is possible. Our parties are different but we have a shared ironclad commitment to Israel and its people.”
Fetterman’s statement comes after Trump announced in a post on Truth Social that Israel and Hamas “both signed off on the first Phase” of a peace plan.
“This means that ALL of the Hostages will be released very soon, and Israel will withdraw their Troops to an agreed upon line as the first steps toward a Strong, Durable, and Everlasting Peace,”

Actor and comedian Groucho Marx famously said “I don’t want to belong to any club that will accept me as a member.” Liberals up in arms that journalist Bari Weiss will be overseeing CBS News are perhaps raging that their exclusive club is no longer that, rendering themselves as much of a joke as Groucho’s witty line.
Fox News reported on October 6th that Weiss, formerly a New York Times writer who started the media company the Free Press after exposing liberal bias at The Gray Lady, will be editor-in-chief of CBS News following Paramount’s purchase of the Free Press.

If you are on social media, or if you are watching the regime media, you might be overwhelmed by the sheer volume of bullSchiff coming from the left. Now, it’s all AstroTurf; the social media stuff is all consultant-driven, and the regime media is, well, the regime media. But the regime media is changing regimes before our eyes; it is just that no one sees it because they are distracted by the current fight. Larger trends and a newfound testicular fortitude among conservatives are forcing significant and permanent changes to the structure of the left’s most vital ally, with a powerful downstream effect.

As RedState’s Susie Moore reported Monday, the FBI revealed bombshell information that former Special Counsel Jack Smith and his team spied on nearly a dozen GOP senators as part of the "Arctic Frost" investigation into January 6th and the 2020 election. According to documents released by Director Kash Patel, Smith and his gang allegedly tracked the phone calls of GOP Sens. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, Josh Hawley of Missouri, Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming, Bill Hagerty of Tennessee, Dan Sullivan of Alaska, Tommy Tuberville of Alabama and GOP Rep. Mike Kelly of Pennsylvania.

Hundreds of pro-Palestine students chanted “from the river to the sea” – an antisemitic slogan calling for the destruction of Israel – during protests on the second anniversary of Hamas’s October 7th attacks. The Mail has more.
Scores of people demonstrated outside Sheffield University’s students’ union where they chanted: “From river to the sea, Palestine will be free.”
The song, which has been adopted by Hamas and is used in the terror group’s official charter, is deemed antisemitic and a direct call for the state of Israel to be destroyed.
The Palestinian flag-waving students also accused Israel of a “holocaust” and shouted: “Your uni is covered in Palestinian blood.”

Dept of Homeland Security Deputy Secretary, Tricia McLaughlin, states that armed protesters confronted Customs and Border Patrol officials near the Broadview ICE facility today. This morning, during routine patrolling in Broadview, in the same area of Chicago that law enforcement were assaulted yesterday, our brave law enforcement officers were rammed by vehicles and boxed in by 10 cars.
Agents were unable to move their vehicles and exited the car. One of the drivers who rammed the law enforcement vehicle was armed with a semi-automatic weapon.

Her Grace Chelsea Clinton — Queen of the Nepo-Babies, Heir to the Neoliberal Throne — has announced a brand-new podcast in which she resurrects the long-discredited “fact-check” scam in order to counter MAHA “misinformation.”
(Chelsea’s new podcast coincidentally happens to be the exact same in mission and scope as her failed previous podcast, “In Fact with Chelsea Clinton,” which lasted less than a year.)
Aside from (mis)informing listeners about all manner of health issues, the stated goal of the podcast is to help stand up an army of liberal talking-point robots programmed to “debunk misinformation over coffee, cocktails or wherever it might come up.”

Navy chief of staff Jon Harrison was removed from his role on Friday in the latest Pentagon shakeup under War Secretary Pete Hegseth.
“Jon Harrison will no longer serve as Chief of Staff to the Secretary of the Navy,” a War Department spokesperson told The Post. “We are grateful for his service to the Department.”
Harrison, a political appointee of President Trump, was reportedly fired by Hegseth after he helped implement sweeping changes to the Navy’s policy and budgeting offices, according to Politico.

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Iran executed six death-row inmates Saturday it alleged carried out attacks in the country’s oil-rich southwest on behalf of Israel, the latest prisoners to be put to death in a wave of executions believed to be the highest in decades.
The executions follow the 12-day Iran-Israel war in June, which ended with Tehran vowing it would target its enemies at home and abroad. However, activists warn Iran often relies on coerced confessions and closed-door trials in its death penalty cases, particularly those involving Israel.

On Twitter, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer tweeted, "Let me be perfectly clear: Undocumented people CANNOT AND WILL NOT receive ACA premium tax credits BY LAW. PERIOD. This is a LIE from Republicans to divert attention from their shutdown. Republicans are refusing to lower healthcare costs for the American people." The capitalization was his. It is a talking point to distract from the truth. CNN's Jake Tapper pointed out to House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, "What you support does bring back funding for emergency Medicaid to hospitals, some of which does pay for undocumented immigrants and people who don't have health insurance.

A while back, I argued that we need to make Republicans afraid again. Afraid for their jobs.
In light of recent events, that's probably not the best wording possible, but the sentiment still holds. There aren't really many pro-gun Democrats holding office these days, so we have to count on Republicans exclusively to hold the line.
That's less than ideal because, like any other political party, almost no one is in complete lockstep with their party on every single issue. For some of them, they're open to at least some gun control.

Jones, who at the time had recently resigned from the state house after a brief stint representing Norfolk, had strong feelings about how the political class was eulogizing recently deceased former state legislator Joe Johnson Jr., a moderate Democrat with a long tenure in Virginia politics. Republican legislators like House Speaker Todd Gilbert had begun making public statements honoring Johnson’s memory and political legacy, and some of those statements were making the rounds in state legislative group chats.
Around 8 a.m., Jones shared those feelings with his former state legislative colleague, Republican House Delegate Carrie Coyner. In a series of text messages obtained by National Review,
