Yet, actual ballots cast during the first week of early voting suggest that the electorate is ignoring the polls. Early voting for the 2025 general election began on September 19 and, according to the Virginia Public Access Project (VPAP), turnout is twice what it was in 2021 and it has been particularly high in heavily Republican areas of the Commonwealth. This is remarkably similar to the early voting pattern that prevailed last year.

Before last Friday’s House vote on a symbolic resolution condemning the assassination of Charlie Kirk and all forms of political violence while honoring his life, the purported leaders of the Democratic Caucus informed its members that they would support the measure. Yet, in a truly vile floor speech prior to the vote, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y) called the resolution “reckless” and claimed Kirk’s “rhetoric and beliefs were ignorant, uneducated, and sought to disenfranchise millions of Americans.” In the end, less than half of the Democrats voted for the resolution. The left is in the middle of a full-blown manic response over Jimmy Kimmel's show being indefinitely preempted after a decision by affiliates and ABC. This followed Kimmel's disgraceful remarks alleging MAGA was desperately trying to spin the narrative that Kirk's accused killer wasn't one of them. That flew in the face of facts that the authorities have laid out regarding the case, and frankly, could deceive the public. Generally speaking, when people jump to the conclusion that there was a conspiracy to commit some heinous act, it is a mistake to jump down that rabbit hole without first seeing a lot of evidence that it hides something dangerous. An FBI Agent was fired for refusing to arrest and perp walk James Comey, according to Reuters.
Per Reuters: “An FBI agent was relieved of duty for declining to arrange a “perp walk” of the bureau’s former director, James Comey, in front of news media cameras after Comey was federally charged last month, four people briefed on the matter said on Friday.”
Comey will be arraigned on October 9. His case was assigned to US District Judge Michael Nachmanoff, a Biden appointee.
