A federal judge in Oregon temporarily blocked the Trump administration’s plan to deploy hundreds of National Guard troops to Portland — the same day federal agents unleashed tear gas and mace on anti-ICE agitators after more than 100 straight days of unrest. US District Judge Karin Immergut, a Trump nominee, ruled Saturday that deploying active-duty troops to secure the “war ravaged” Oregon city would violate the US Constitution and federal law barring military involvement in domestic law enforcement. “The relationship between the federal government and the states, between the military and domestic law enforcement, and the balance of powers between the executive,

Why can't `President Trump use our massive Federal Police agencies--the FBI, Marshal Service, and ATF have swat teams for this kind of stuff. They're better trained. They get full salaries. They have intelligence on such situations that soldiers aren't privy to. They can use plain clothes operatives and informants. They can keep a lower profile and handle the media. The National Guardsmen have none of these advantages. In the past they weren't even issued ammunition and wound up as little more than meat shields for the cops. The dems are peddling the narrative of "fascist invading cohorts seizing control of civilian institutions etc," and they'll pound that narrative as the networks collect pictures and film they can edit to turn public sentiment. Formations of soldiers make perfect fodder. Odds are increasing daily that somebody will get killed. It shouldn't be a Guardsman.

There is something askew when "citizens" of blue cities are masked, armed, and are committing mayhem and anarchy -- and the law cannot stop it? Really? Who armed them? Who is paying them? OPEN LETTER TO PAM BONDI and CASH/BONGINO: follow the money trail, then indict.

Excellent points, #2. I think it's probably that those other Fed agencies already have assigned cases and can't spare hundreds of people on short notice. The National Guard basically plays basketball on their duty weekends so were available quickly. The number of cities on Trump's list will probably require thousands before the crime cleanup is accomplished.

So, if dems ever! get back in power and the right protests their real tyranny, will any of these same judges bother to boss around a dem president? They won't. President Trump has been winning these cases, but I just wish he'd tell these rogue judges, "Make me!" just one time. Part of the problem is Kristi and Pami are too soft on them and too slow to administer justice, and law enforcement are at risk. I see the cops telling the crazies over and over again to do something or they issue some threat, but the crazies keep showing up and disrupting lawful work. I don't know how many times I've heard cops say, "Get off the street, you are disrupting traffic. Disband or go home, or you will be arrested." Only to arrest no one. I heard one freakazoid tell law enforcement that they are supposed to protect them, the crazies (rioters), but they were defending ICE (legal) instead. I thought they hate the po-lice. Another freakazoid told the officers they were next. All this was said at the same riot. Kristi and Pami need to bring this to an end.

You got to remember that the Federal District Judges reside in the leftist Democrat run cities and communities where they are issuing their rulings and certainly do not want to get crossways with local and state Democrat politicians with who they are used to be associating and hobnobbing with on a social basis. That’s why their legally suspect rulings are, thereafter are being overturned by the Federal Circuit Courts and the US Supreme Court.

A food aid program that helps more than 6 million low-income mothers and young children will run out of federal money within two weeks unless the government shutdown ends, forcing states to use their own money to keep it afloat or risk it shutting down, experts say. Pope Leo XIV continues to make thinly veiled jibes against the Trump administration’s stance against illegal immigration. Speaking in front of thousands of pilgrims at St. Peter’s Square on Sunday, Leo warned that migrants must not be treated with “the coldness of indifference or the stigma of discrimination.” Without singling out any country in particular, Leo said that Catholics should “open our arms and hearts to them, welcoming them as brothers and sisters, and being for them a presence of consolation and hope.” Leo explained that the church was living through a “new missionary age” that tasked its members with providing “hospitality and welcome, compassion and solidarity” to migrants coming to the West.

President Trump is deploying 400 Texas National Guard troops to Illinois, Oregon, and other states as swarms of anti-ICE protesters continue to clash with federal agents, Gov. JB Pritzker said Sunday night. The Illinois Democrat blasted Trump’s “invasion” hours after the president mobilized 300 California National Guard members to Portland, where unrest has raged for over 100 consecutive days outside an immigration detention center — a scene that has been playing out in Chicago since September. Pritzker said the plan defies his wishes, adding that federal officials haven’t reached out to coordinate or discuss the deployment.

Fusion energy skeptics consistently scoff at the notion that the technology required to create unlimited pollution-free power by superheating hydrogen atoms in a pressurized containment vessel is always "ten years away." There is no question that the requirements to create a sustained fusion reaction are daunting – and expensive. Yet the nation that solves the challenge will have access to infinite power that will allow it to dominate the globe, and apply it cleanly and limitlessly to literally everything and anything that requires electricity. The fusion skeptics are not only short-sighted but may also be absent an appreciation of how successful, strategic investments are made.
