As Milton Friedman always said, governments cause inflation. Thus, the government is behind the massive increase in college tuition. That affects a lot of people, but what affects even more is health care. Join me as I explain how the falsely named Affordable Care Act (ACA) (Obamacare) and Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) have caused massive inflation in healthcare and health insurance costs since 2009. In 2009, when the average cost of an individual health policy was under $100 and family coverage was under $400, democrats decided that health insurance cost too much, and too many didn’t have coverage. Therefore, without any Republican support, they wrote a 1,000-page bill.

We all remember when Nasty Pelosi said they had to pass it before we could know what was in it and then, they made sure none of the members of Congress had to get it. Now we know why.

My husband's prescription premium just went from $28 to $78 per month. Plus he has to pay an exorbitant out of pocket amount for Eliquis.

Republicans are on the right path trying to eliminate fraud. When Louisiana got the Medicaid investors bought doctors medical practices and built them beautiful offices with all the latest equipment. When I go to the Dr with my not so great medical insurance for a cold I pay 100 copay, get a quick look over by the Dr, he listens to my chest, makes me cough and sends me on with a couple of prescriptions @20 each. When my friend who is on Medicaid goes to the same Dr for a cold he gets a chest X-ray, bloodwork, breathing treatments, a fistful of prescriptions and a follow up appointment in a week. John Bell Edwards, the former Democratic governor got Louisiana into the Medicaid expansion and 1/3 of the people in Louisiana are on it. When Republican and very conservative Jeff Landry was running for governor one of his 1st promises was he wouldn’t roll back the Medicaid expansion because he knew he he’d loose if he ran on a platform to repeal it. What he’s doing is removing Dr’s from the program that milk the system, my Dr got kicked off of the program. When I went there last time I was one of 3 people in the waiting room whereas there use to be 40. Work requirements and rooting out fraud are really the only tools the republicans have to work with at this point and they know it. The ACA is like the Hotel California, you can check in but you can never leave.

Too many people were led to believe that universal health care was a good thing. With big pharma, big medicine and the extremely profitable insurance industry sucking health care dollars up like leaves and rampant fraud being the norm, the whole system has become unaffordable and the taxpayers have once again been fleeced by the democrats.

All of us should protest outside of one of Obama's mansions (while he is home) carrying signs asking when our medical insurance premiums are going to go down by $2500. Better yet, outside of his hideously expensive library. Also, residents of San Francisco should stop Pelosi on the street and ask her the same question.

My wife had insurance on both of us prior to obamacare. Cost 35 bucks a month, not each, 35 covered us both. Much better insurance that covered everything, even dental and vision. obamacare was DEEMED passed, and insurance for my wife alone went to 350 a moth. NO dental, NO vision.

As the Gateway Pundit reported over the weekend, a young man named Nigel Max Edge was arrested and charged with three counts of first degree murder after opening fire on the American Fish Company restaurant dock in the North Carolina coastal town of Southport. Edge is a Marine veteran who served in Iraq. Unfortunately, he was battling some personal demons. One of his former friends is now speaking out and saying that he tried to get help for the man and that his warnings to authorities went unheeded. It’s a tragic reminder that we have a serious mental health crisis in the country right now.

A government shutdown fast approaching, Democratic and Republican congressional leaders left a White House meeting with President Donald Trump Monday afternoon showing no sign of compromising from their entrenched positions in order to avoid a lapse in funding. If government funding legislation isn’t passed by Congress and signed by Trump on Tuesday night, many government offices across the nation will be temporarily shuttered and nonexempt federal employees will be furloughed, adding to the strain on workers and the nation’s economy.

President Trump formally unveiled a 20-point peace plan Monday calling for an international peacekeeping force in the Gaza Strip and a post-Hamas transitional government overseen by a “Board of Peace” — that Trump himself would lead as chairman. Trump, 79, announced the plan alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House and said it could bring “eternal peace in the Middle East” — with eight Muslim-majority countries and the West Bank-based Palestinian Authority quickly joining Israel in embracing the blueprint. “This is a beautiful day, potentially one of the great days ever in civilization,” Trump told reporters in the State

Mayor Eric Adams’ decision to end his mayoral campaign is unsurprising. The scandal-tarred incumbent was running a poor fourth in most polls and had no chance of re-election. His choice nonetheless can have important repercussions. His withdrawal was the first domino to fall in the series of events Andrew Cuomo needs to have any shot of beating Zohran Mamdani in November. The polls clearly show how hard Cuomo’s task is. The Real Clear Politics polling average has Mamdani ahead by a whopping 18.7 percentage points. More importantly, it shows Mamdani receiving 44.4% of the total vote. That’s already likely to be enough to win in anything short of a two-man race.

For years, we were told by government officials and outside “experts” that the terrorists in our midst were mostly right-wing fanatics – a list that under the Biden administration came to include parents who spoke up at local school board meetings and Catholics who like the Latin mass. But even the left is now admitting what everyone else already knows. Namely, that despite their constant bleating about tolerance and peace, it’s leftists who pose the greatest threat to Americans. This week, the Trump-hating Atlantic magazine published an article titled “Left-Wing Terrorism Is on the Rise,” written by scholars at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).

Death Penalty for Kirk Assassin? Bad Idea 38 replies

I am not opposed to using the death penalty for specific heinous crimes. Certainly, it was warranted for Timothy McVeigh, and Charlie Kirk’s killing was indeed heinous. However, the alleged assassin is Tyler Robinson and that gives me pause, because there are thousands of Tylers out there ready to make him a martyr. This hate-filled, deluded, brainwashed community has been groomed deliberately by a Machiavellian academia since the 1960s. There was a time when public education institutions were staffed with unbiased professors and educated their students with genuine facts and encouraged independent thought. That was back then.

What some now call the "pro-Palestine movement" in the West is, in many respects, the residue of decades of KGB-backed manipulation. The cultural self-hatred, moral relativism, and selective outrage that dominate today's progressive circles were seeded by Soviet strategists who understood that eroding Western confidence from within could be more decisive than any tank battalion. Between June 2015 and May 2017, Facebook identified roughly $100,000 in advertising spending tied to Russian operators — around 3,000 ads and 470 fake accounts.

Factor in layoffs, buyouts, early retirements, and natural attrition, and the government could shed roughly 275,000 employees by the end of 2025.
