It's Too Late to Cry "Cancel Culture"

It’s funny that they all suddenly care about censorship, free speech, and cancel culture, isn’t it? And the chilling effects that had on open expression? Have they looked at Hollywood lately? Ever hear of a culture of silence and a climate of fear that has all but gutted a once-thriving industry? Do they remember why Elon Musk had to buy Twitter? How many people did we watch unpersoned, disappeared, and banished from utopia? How many lives have been ruined just for daring to speak the truth about the differences between biological men and women? Remember All Lives Matter? Remember Blue Lives Matter?

Comments:

A little harsh, but understandably so. Some good points.

These ghouls (who thought they were safe) must not only get unemployed. They must become UNEMPLOYABLE. For two generations, the Left, Liberals, Progressives, Democrats, call them whatever you will, systematically injected this poison in our society and culture. This is the real seminal threat to our existence, our way of life. Grandmothers gathered to exercise their First Amendment protected rights is not where it is at.

I remember a story earlier this year about a 90yr. old woman who for 60 years had been a volunteer for the Multiple Sclerosis Society was told she could no longer be part of the organization because she did not understand what was meant by 'pronouns' after people's names and simply asked what it meant.

Some say we shouldn't visit "cancel culture" on the left for their incitement-laced rhetoric. I say we're not. It's not "cancel culture".... it's "consequence culture"... Cancel culture is depriving decent human beings of the means to pursue happiness simply because they hold differing opinions. Consequence culture is depriving depraved human beings of their means to pursue the infliction of psychological and physical harm on other human beings. Cancel culture is immoral. Consequence culture is righteous.

They worshipped Saul Alinsky and his Rules For Radicals. They smugly snickered when they did rotten things to ruin decent people. Now guess what? Alinsky's rule about making the enemy live up to his own rules works both ways. I am personally not comfortable with targeting someone just for saying stupid things, but I do love seeing the communists get what they've been giving us for 20 years or more.

Progressive liberal democrats wrote and enforced the "new rules", never expecting to be subject to those rules. As a refresher course in civics. Free speech means that you can engage in speech without fear of the government punishing you for it. That does not mean that you are free of any consequences from your peers, family, employer etc, etc. This is why the Biden regime pressured public and private businesses to do their dirty work for them. Conservatives lost jobs, were suspended from social media, were deplatformed, de- monetized, had there bank accounts canceled, were doxed, swatted, assaulted, vandalized, murdered and shouted down in public. So don't cry me a river that you lost your minimum wage job for being a human douchnozzle.

Tens of thousands of people protested in the Turkish capital Ankara on Sunday ahead of a court ruling that could see the removal of the head of the main opposition. Ozgur Ozel, the leader of the Republican People's Party (CHP), has denounced Monday's hearing as part of a judicial coup by Turkey's government against the country's opposition. After a year-long legal crackdown against hundreds of CHP members, live footage on Sunday showed people chanting for the resignation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan while waving Turkish flags and party banners.

Charlie Kirk shaped modern conservatism and reached youth in ways no one else could, Victor Davis Hanson said. VICTOR DAVIS HANSON: Tragically, Charlie Kirk, a friend of all of ours, was shot and killed in Utah. This is one of the great losses to the American political and media scene, not just conservatism. I don't think that he will be replaced, because I can't think of a figure left or right under the age of 35 who combined such talent.

A New Jersey nurse who reported a doctor who allegedly "cheered and celebrated" Charlie Kirk's assassination is suing after she faced disciplinary action, her lawyer said in a lawsuit filed on Friday. Lexi Kuenzle, 33, a nurse at Englewood Health, filed suit Friday against the hospital, Dr. Matthew Jung and others for the incident that allegedly occurred "in front of patients and staff." "She had the audacity to question how Dr. Jung can comply with the Hippocratic Oath’s and the American Medical Association’s Code of Medical Ethics while celebrating the murder of a non-violent Christian speaker who was on a college campus," Kuenzle's attorney, John Coyle, said in the complaint.

From all early signs, Tyler Robinson’s “reasons” for taking Charlie Kirk’s life came straight from the lefty disinformation machine that has been screaming about right-wing fascism for at least half the confessed assassin’s life. At least two “anti-fascist” messages on the cartridges; a relative noting how in conversation he insisted Kirk “was full of hate and spreading hate” — all horribly in tune with the many lefty talking points uttered after the assassination suggesting Kirk was asking for it. Yes, the extreme right has its own sicko extremists, but Robinson didn’t have to dunk himself into the sewers of the Internet to imbibe the incessant refrain that President Donald Trump

Yesterday, the United States entered a new and chilling stage of what I have called the “age of rage.” After two attempted assassinations of President Donald Trump, leading conservative leader Charlie Kirk, father of two, was gunned down at a campus event at Utah Valley University. I learned the news while I was in Prague to speak on my book,“The Indispensable Right: Free Speech in an Age of Rage” and the growing attacks on free speech around the world. I never imagined that I would be speaking about Charlie’s murder and what it represents for free speech.

Charlie Kirk and I had a lot we didn’t agree on, but he used to bring me on his show. Unlike his leftist haters, the man who was martyred this week in Utah for spreading his conservative beliefs with vigor and love wasn’t afraid to engage with views that contradicted his own. The opposite: He sought them out. In an age of podcasters ensconced in the safety of their home studios, Charlie Kirk met young people where they were, on college campuses, and invited them to debate. This is how you fight polarization. This is how you fight violence.

As the nation grapples with the news that conservative activist and commentator Charlie Kirk was gunned down in cold blood while conducting one of his signature campus debates at Utah Valley University, it is of paramount importance for our political leaders both to recognize the political moment we are in and to try to defuse a potentially combustible situation. While conservatives will be tempted to demonize whoever the deluded shooter turns out to be, and liberals will undoubtedly call for more ineffective gun control legislation, neither reaction can hope to lead to anything productive.

Charlie Kirk, a lifelong advocate for free speech, the leader of the nation’s preeminent conservative youth organization, and a beloved confidant of the first family, was fatally shot Wednesday afternoon while speaking with students at Utah Valley University. President Trump confirmed the news in a post on Truth Social, writing that Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, “was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us.” Flags at the White House were lowered to half-staff in his honor. Kirk was 31. He is survived by his wife and two young children.

Get ready for more Zohran Mamdani-like candidates -- avowed socialists -- to soar to popularity across New York state and the rest of the U.S. We the public have ceded control of education to the far left. The result is a curriculum that never mentions the brutal consequences of socialist experiments in Eastern Europe, Latin America and elsewhere, and instead brainwashes students with a fairytale definition of "socialism" devoid of any historical context. Of course young New York voters are troubled by the unaffordability of the city. But that alone does not explain the appeal of Mamdani's socialist promise. Numerous polls show socialism is gaining traction among younger voters. They're being brainwashed

For the past half century, California has been the driving force in American technology, culture and political development. After all, it was Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan who led the last great resurgence on the Right from the state, and Governor Jerry “Moonbeam” Brown who largely created the green-oriented, high-tech progressive underpinnings of the Clinton and Obama regimes, even if he never reached the presidency himself. Today, history may be repeating itself, but in a way that – to paraphrase Mark Twain – no longer rhymes. Under Nixon, Reagan and Brown, the California connection was a golden one; California was the epitome of American success, the dream cubed.

Following the assassination of Charlie Kirk, there was a sigh of relief when the suspected shooter finally got caught. But now, according to reports, investigators are looking into whether this was more than just a radicalized young man with a gun and perhaps part of a bigger conspiracy. While the alleged shooter, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, sits in custody, the FBI’s probe is beginning to suggest that this was no simple case of a disturbed individual snapping. What’s emerging looks far more deliberate, disturbingly organized, and rooted in the leftist networks that have turned political violence into a feature of modern activism.

Finding Kirk’s assassin might prove easier than defeating the left. It’s difficult to rout an enemy who is suffering from a psychological problem. That problem is narcissism. Narcissism is not self-love, but the opposite. The narcissist is not full of ego. He has no sense of self. Lacking a stable sense of identity, the narcissist hunts for meaning in therapy, self-help, sex, or radical politics. This is the mental illness and the driving politics
