Talk show host Charlie Kirk commented on Brandon Johnson's opposition to President Trump sending federal forces to stop crime on the streets of Chicago. "I think President Trump should call his bluff. I think we should flood the zone. It's already working in Washington, D.C. Chicago is a next perfect test case," Kirk said. "It's time for a federal takeover of Chicago. We've been calling for this for quite some time. I think we're getting closer. I think you're gonna see the president pull the trigger sometime soon." CHARLIE KIRK: Brandon Johnson might be the most unimpressive mayor in America... He shouldn't be the mayor of Chicago. Chicago deserves so much better

Well, President Trump seems to think crime in Chicago is bad enough, and so do most of the citizens. Unfortunately for them "Let's go Brandon" and his minions don't care about his constituency.

Could someone tell me why everyone is so anxious to get PDJT involved in some type of conflict? If not Ukraine, then LA or Chicago! The citizens of Chicago are not helpless. Their mayor can be recalled. The governor of Illinois has the power to call out the National Guard in his state. Have the citizens of Chicago asked him to do it? How can he refuse?? Why should Pres. Trump usurp the governor's authority? Imagine all the ways that could turn ugly. Think Jan 6 where his effort to provide law enforcement was sabotaged by the democrats who run DC. Anybody willing to bet the same won't happen here? I appreciate his desire to have peace and save lives. But I believe he should stay in his own lane. He has the legal and constitutional authority to make DC beautiful, safe and clean again. He should work with Congress to ensure it stays that way after 30 days and when his term ends. That will bless the American people and shame the leaders of blue states and cities overrun with crime. Their residents will be looking for republican alternatives. Speaking of which, part of the problem with our cities is that Republicans have abandoned them. They do not offer any viable alternatives anywhere. Take a look at this atrticle: https://issuesinsights.com/2025/09/02/care-to-guess-how-many-of-the-most-murderous-cities-in-the-u-s-have-a-republican-mayor/ Rather than going all gangbusters into blue cities, take the long view. Work on offering the citizens of Chicago and other American cities the option of first-class, republican candidates for public leadership. And, develop a cadre of DA's, judges and AG's of both parties with integrity, who care about the law and will properly prosecute crime. If he wants to make real change, turn off the money spigot to sanctuary cities and states. We have a Federal immigration law. If they are in violation, why are they getting federal money? Enough with the braggadocio and threats. Cut off the money. I commend him for what he's done to make our nation great. But this time, I hope he will stay in his own lane. There are lots of other problems in this country to work on and solve.

Yes, and pigs could fly, if you pay to put them through flight school. It's just that not enough money has been spent. The Dome of the Rock will be a Christian bookstore before Chicago elects a quality Republican mayor.

Getting Chicago under control would solve the drug problems of most cities in the Midwest. Drug turf is the catalyst behind most of the gang-related street shooting and it's the end of the line for the pipeline from Mexico, i.e. the Heroin Highway.

I don't think it's a blue city or state problem, but an American one in general. In our neighborhood, it seems only my husband and I bother to report possible criminal activity to the police - who are basically useless small town traffic ticket issuers. Anything consequential - forget it - too much paperwork I guess. The other homeowners - yeah, they grumble and mumble but will they call the police? No. Will they join a neighborhood watch. No. Everyone just seems to want to ignore the problems so they just go away which they do not. I agree that DC is the exception because of its role as the federal seat of government. And once the feds stop working with the local DC police, the crime will go back up again. It's a Dem city forever and as others have commented, if poor blacks and wealthy white elites (in their safe enclaves) want to keep voting for incompetent black Dems - then enjoy your crime and filth. A few years ago, some local do-gooders from Maryland started visiting the worst neighborhoods in Baltimore and cleaning up their garbage. What - the local residents can't do it themselves? https://utopihenfarms.com/baltimore-trash-cleanup/

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) reported a net worth of up to $30 million in her latest financial disclosure — a document filed just months after the congresswoman dismissed claims she was a millionaire as “ridiculous” and “categorically false.” The disclosure, filed in May, shows the far-left “Squad” lawmaker and her husband, Tim Mynett, experienced a roughly 3,500% increase in net worth last year, compared to 2023. The surge in the couple’s wealth was first reported by the Washington Free Beacon on Monday. The financial gains came from Mynett’s two businesses, a Santa Rosa, Calif.-based winery and a venture capital firm headquartered in Washington, DC.

There was no Labor Day holiday for Chicago criminals, who murdered nine people and wounded another 51; most (if not all) were black or brown people with names and stories we will never know. Meanwhile, crime is down sharply in Washington, D.C., where three people were shot and wounded, but no one was killed over the weekend. Rather than learn from Washington, D.C.’s experience, Chicago’s leaders are doubling down to frustrate a proposed federal law enforcement surge here that will make Chicago safer for all. As the weekend’s carnage unfolded, Mayor Johnson issued an order blocking the Chicago Police from cooperating with any new federal law enforcement effort while

Americans have been told for decades we’re in desperate need of an underclass to handle the work we don’t want to do ourselves. We were convinced the development of an American caste system, with the “illegal untouchables” assigned the least-attractive duties, is what a prosperous nation like ours deserves. This narrative’s purveyors swore to us the depth of illegal immigration would remain shallow enough that these people wouldn’t be a competitive workforce for jobs American citizens want to earn a living from. This deception has created what I call “The Great Illegal-Immigrant Lie.”

Writing elsewhere last month, I suggested that Donald Trump end the National Endowment for Democracy once and for all. Like most so-called “non-governmental organizations,” the NED is in fact an all-governmental organization. It depends absolutely on a subsidy from the state department, i.e., from the federal government, i.e., from the taxpayer, i.e., from you. The NED began life in the Cold War as a way of projecting “soft power” against our Communist adversaries. But as James Piereson noted in February of this year, the NED has undergone a familiar process of mission creep and moral and political entropy.

On July 14th, President Donald Trump set a deadline for Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the war in Ukraine – 50 days. The war’s death toll and the Russian leader’s bad faith negotiating tactics had exceeded the president’s patience threshold and it was time for the Trump Administration to weigh in more heavily than it had thus far. President Trump threatened sanctions and secondary sanctions if Putin didn’t stop the conflict, offering increased military support to Ukraine as well. Putin was on the clock! Two weeks later, an important change took place when Trump accelerated the timeline. It was that pressure-packed strategy that quickly brought Putin to the negotiating table.

It’s been said that if you’re not a Communist at 20, you have no heart — but if you’re not a capitalist by 30, you have no brain. That’s all too befitting the sad farce of New York’s mayoral race, led by front-runner Zohran Mamdani. How does Mamdani, as the only major candidate who comes close to the 20-30 age range, measure up? Mamdani’s smiling, youthful energy attracted many real 20- to 30-year-old New Yorkers, as well as many older 20-somethings-at-heart. His wealth of socialist/Communist ideas — abolishing private property, seizing the means of production, defunding the police, freezing rent, providing free public transportation, establishing government-run stores and more — make many

Almost weekly in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, and Germany, a sensational assault committed by an illegal migrant -- often enjoying some sort of state support or with prior arrests for the same crime -- surfaces. Until recently, European politicians and the media sought to either ignore such news or accuse those who clamored for tighter borders, more police protection, and stiffer penalties of being "racists" or "xenophobes." Until recently, that is. Mass protests are now common in Britain against the Labour Party's open borders policies and generous welfare entitlements for immigrants who arrive illegally and without authentic "political refugee" status.
