Ex-NYC mayor endorses Zohran Mamdani for
City Hall: ‘He has the right ideas’

Former Mayor Bill de Blasio on Tuesday endorsed socialist Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani in the race for City Hall — claiming the progressive’s “bold, sweeping” agenda will save the Big Apple. “We don’t just need Zohran Mamdani to be our mayor because he has the right ideas, or because they can be achieved,” de Blasio said in a New York Daily News op-ed as he threw his support behind the front-runner.“We need him because in his heart and in his bones he cannot accept a city that prices out the people who built it and keep it running.”

In any other rational city DeBlasio's endorsement would be the kiss of death. However, this is NYC and all bets are off. Mayor Bill prays for a Mamdani win as Bill will pass the worst Mayor in NYC torch to Mamdani. Just like Jimmy Carter and Joe Biden.

I will be interested to see how this man reacts to learning that cities without rent control are the ones that have adequate housing, lower rents, and lower homelessness. Rent control is a nice sounding idea with perverse effects. When Mamdani finds out will he therefore want to abandon rent control or will he double down because it is just an organizing issue to him?

" city that prices out the people who built it and keep it running.” If the Communist Mandani gets his way, there will be an outflow of businesses, taxpaying businesses, along with their employees, and a huge loss of revenue that he needs to implement his foolish ideas. What's next? Rent control? That's been a disaster everywhere it's been tried. A real crisis awaits a once great city.

Even if Mamdani weren't a Communist, he would not be competent enough to be the Mayor of a small town in any state much less the Mayor of New York City. He has never had a job because his parents are millionaires who have taken care of him all of his life. I think he still lives with them or did until he got married in Uganda. Who can afford to go to Uganda to get married? He is an incompetent Communist who like Hitler knows how to give a speech. Watch out, New York. The end is near if you put this Communist in office.
