President Donald Trump shared security footage on social media Saturday, slamming a subcontractor accused of cracking the "most beautiful marble and stone available anywhere" in the recently renovated White House Rose Garden. In a post to Truth Social, Trump said he discovered a "huge gash" in the limestone three days ago, extending more than 25 yards.
"Surfaces are very important to me as a Builder," the president wrote in the post. "As everyone knows, I built many GREAT Buildings, and other things, over the years. … [The limestone crack] was deep and nasty!

Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., called for the 25th Amendment to the Constitution to be used against President Donald Trump on Friday, suggesting he was unfit, during a discussion about his removal of Lisa Cook from the Federal Reserve's Board of Governors. "It is time to call for Article [Amendment] 25 of the Constitution of the United States of America to determine his unfitness, to determine that something’s wrong with this president. And I would suggest that we move very aggressively to talk about the danger to this country and to our democracy and not play around with this, because this is absolutely one of the most destructive things

President Trump on Thursday floated the idea of having the Republican Party hold a convention just ahead of the 2026 midterms, as Democrats say they’re considering a similar idea.
“The Republican Party is doing really well. Millions of people have joined us in our quest to MAKE AMERICA, GREAT AGAIN. We won every aspect of the Presidential Election and, based on the great success we are having, are poised to WIN BIG IN THE MIDTERMS,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.

The heartbreaking mass shooting at the Annunciation Catholic Church on Wednesday has brought the issue of transgenderism once again to the forefront of American conversations.
Robert Westman was an unwell boy who, in 2019, decided he was a girl and officially changed his name to Robin.
Westman was a minor at the time so his mother, Mary Grace Weston, signed the application. This is the second such attack by a transgender person on a Christian school.
In March 2023, Audrey Hale killed six people, including three children, at the Covenant School in Nashville.

Minnesota Bishop Robert Barron sharply criticized Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey for dismissing calls for prayer following Wednesday’s deadly Catholic school shooting, calling the mayor’s remarks "completely asinine." "Catholics don’t think that prayer magically protects them from all suffering. After all, Jesus prayed fervently from the cross on which he was dying," Barron told Fox News Digital.

The mother of transgender Minneapolis mass shooter Robin Westman is not cooperating with police in the investigation, authorities announced on Thursday.
Mary Grace Westman, who worked at Annunciation Catholic School, which was targeted by the deranged 23-year-old gunman Wednesday morning, has not contacted police — nor responded to their attempts to reach her, Minneapolis police announced at a press conference Thursday.
“We have not been successful in talking to the shooter’s mother,” Police Chief Brian O’Hara said.

Two years before a shooter opened fire on students attending daily mass in Minneapolis, the leaders of independent and Catholic schools in Minnesota begged Democrat Governor Tim Walz for help securing their schools, according to a 2023 letter reviewed by The Daily Wire. The funding was never authorized. In a letter dated April 14, 2023 that specifically addressed “school safety in nonpublic schools,” Tim Benz, the president of MINNDEPENDENT and Jason Adkins, the executive director of the Minnesota Catholic Conference, stressed an “urgent and critical need in Minnesota to make sure our schools are secure and safe” in light of “recent, and continuing attacks, on our schools in this country and

France, Germany and the UK launched a 30-day process to reimpose sanctions on Iran over its nuclear program on Thursday, sending a letter stating their intent to the UN Security Council.
The three countries only had until October this year, 10 years after they originally lifted the sanctions, as a window where it would be possible to automatically reinstate the penalties, which include a complete embargo on arms sales to Iran.
An Iranian deputy foreign minister said earlier on Thursday that Tehran would cease cooperation with the UN's nuclear agency if France, Germany and the UK reimposed so-called "snapback" sanctions that were halted as part of the 2015 nuclear deal.

If ever there were an example of the perils of the Democrat approach to crime and social disorder, it is Minneapolis, ground zero of the George Floyd/defund-the-police movement that roiled the country five years ago, and a “sanctuary transgender state.”
The deadly mass shooting of small children at Mass at Annunciation Catholic School Wednesday brings home the tragic cost of a disordered society, where evil rampages unchecked and those who would protect the vulnerable are handcuffed and pushed away.
It’s too early to say exactly how, or even if, the tragedy could have been prevented. Yet Minnesota Democrats already have reached for their lazy gun-control mantra,

I went to prison for defending the Constitutional separation of powers.
John Bolton (an occasional contributor to The Hill) may well wind up in prison, too, if investigators uncover evidence and prosecutors decide to bring charges over his alleged classified disclosures. When Bolton wrote his book, “The Room Where It Happened” — reportedly receiving a $2 million advance — he wasn’t just dishing gossip. He was sharing information about Oval Office conversations and national security that should have stayed secret — either by law or under executive privilege.

The answer was not Trump alone. Indeed, irony abounds when Democrats resonate with the claims of the vestigial Never Trumpers that the MAGA movement “hijacked” the Republican Party. In characteristic projectionist fashion, the left is simply falsely attributing to their opposition the very hijacking that hit the Democratic Party. The Republicans are still the party of conservatism and traditionalism. But in the last decade, it adopted an expansionary middle-class agenda that has led to record party registration, its first popular presidential vote victory since 2004, and control of all three branches of government.

One year ago today, on August 24th, 2024, I was freshly back from three days at the Democratic National Convention. I’d worked in politics nearly half my life, starting out as an intern on Barack Obama’s campaign when I was only seventeen years old, then as a field organizer for Hillary Clinton’s campaign. Before Obama won the primary in 2008, I was an alternate delegate for Hillary in Kansas’ third congressional district, one of the youngest ever in the state of Kansas.
