Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY), the former House Judiciary Committee chairman who helped lead the impeachments of then-former President Donald Trump, announced on Monday that he will not seek reelection in 2026, ending a 34-year tenure that placed him at the center of Democratic politics in New York and on the national stage.
Rep. Jerry Nadler, 78, confirmed that he will retire at the close of his current term, saying his decision was shaped by growing calls for generational change within the Democratic Party. “Watching the Biden thing really said something about the necessity for generational change in the party, and I think I want to respect that,”

Adios, Jerry the Hutt. And regardless of the rumors he'll be participating in Nathan's July 4th hot-dog eating contest, I'll still be pulling for Joey Chestnut.

There may be some "influence" in his decision.
Some thread getting a little thin, perhaps.

So the uncouth slob (D-Jurassic Park) becomes just another rat deserting the sinking ship, after doing immeasurable damage for 34 years. Did his USAID grift run out?
He could do us another favor by taking #4's list with him.

Good riddance to a horribly evil little creature. I like the way he wears his belt up in his armpits like the Penguin.

#4, an impressive list. Some folks just cling to power, because it is the only thing they know. Their family doesn't know them or want them around.
#6, I read somewhere that the aromas coming off of the good Congressman could knock the proverbial buzzard off a wagon. Folks everywhere in Congress will breathe easier once he's gone. No doubt another Democrat will take his place, and get re-elected to infinity and beyond.

It's hard to imagine that, during 30 years, no better choices were available to the dem voters than Nadler. That's a statement that applies to all the other dino dems as well. What seems to replace them is loud mouthed, know nothings that think that screaming makes them right. Maybe the leadership is coming to reflect the voter base.

Guess being a Democrat in Congress is not as profitable anymore without Democrats holding the majority and being in disarray. He sees there is now more money to be made outside of Congress.

It hasn't been about 'better choices' for a long time. Incumbency is the modern version of 'Might Makes Right'. Thus, the Evil Gerontocracy.

Gerrolled Nadler is a gross human being with a boob belt like Big Mike (Obama), and a really, really long--perhaps record length--zipper, reaching from sternum to pubis. To quote Dan Jenkins on T.J. "Torn Jock" Lambert (who could pass gas in different colors), "He smelled like Albania."

Such a criminal. And he gets to retire on our dime. Doesn't matter whether he's in congress or not; the grift continues. It's so easy to despise these people.
