Appeals court clears way for deep cuts,
restructuring at CFPB

Original Article

A federal appeals court panel has cleared the way for the Trump administration to largely dismantle the work of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, lifting a lower-court judge’s injunction that had preserved the agency’s structure — and barred mass layoffs — for months. The 2-1 ruling, authored by Judge Gregory Katsas, said a series of legal defects in the lawsuit brought by CFPB employees and the NAACP doomed the case and required the district court judge’s blockade to be lifted. Katsas, a Trump appointee, said the fatal flaw was the broad challenge against what the employees described as a master plan to shutter the agency altogether.

The question that should be pursued is how many people are denied justice because their court dates are being delayed because of lawfare.

Many of those private special-interest, racist and ankle biting agencies need to go, NAACP, ACLU, SPLC, CBC, all work against the American people.

Eliminate the NAACP next, then the ACLU, SPLC, and all of the other ankle-biting organizations that work against the American people.

Can only be eliminated by Congress, which will be difficult. This is a Dem slush fund criminal organization. Repubs can cripple it when they are in power, but then Dems immediately repower it when they are in power. MUST be erased by law.

It's chalk up another win... like you're keeping score on a black board... but I digest. The whole thing about the CFPB was like saying 'could God make a stone he couldn't pick up? How could any act of congress create a part of the administration, the executive branch, over which the executive branch had no control. You just know it would be used to gum up the works, cost us money, institute ESG and stuff like that, in the course of being unstoppable and unaccountable. The ruling should not have been as narrow as "you didn't file the right paperwork.' It needed to be: The Constitution does not allow for this.

WASHINGTON — President Trump has committed in principle to providing “security guarantees” to Ukraine to safeguard its frontier from Russia following a possible peace deal, The Post has confirmed. The precise contours of those security guarantees, which were discussed by Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Anchorage on Friday, remain unclear, however. Trump has not committed to sending US troops and previously ruled out NATO membership for Ukraine. The security may amount to a European-led initiative with America’s support, a source familiar with the talks said.

Early this morning, President Trump debriefed us and President Zelenskyy following his meeting with the Russian President in Alaska on 15 August 2025. Leaders welcomed President Trump’s efforts to stop the killing in Ukraine, end Russia’s war of aggression, and achieve just and lasting peace. As President Trump said ‘there’s no deal until there’s a deal’. As envisioned by President Trump, the next step must now be further talks including President Zelenskyy, whom he will meet soon. We are also ready to work with President Trump and President Zelenskyy towards a trilateral summit with European support.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said he agreed with Donald Trump's claim that the war in Ukraine would not have ever even begun if he had not lost the 2020 election and was serving as president when the carnage began, instead of former President Joe Biden. "I can confirm that," Putin said at the tail-end of a press conferece that took place Friday evening after the pair met for a summit at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska. Trump made the assertion multiple times on the campaign trail, and continued saying it after he took back the White House. Trump has faced pushback on the claim,

US President Donald Trump's actions have brought the end of the war in Ukraine "closer than ever before", Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has said. His statement comes despite the fact that Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin failed to reach a deal on a ceasefire at a summit in Alaska on Friday. He also said the "path to peace in Ukraine" cannot be decided without Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and that the UK's "unwavering support" will continue as long as it takes. The highly-anticipated meeting between Trump and Putin had been pitched as an important step towards peace in Ukraine, but no concrete

JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska — President Donald Trump said he and Vladimir Putin didn’t reach a deal to end Russia’s war in Ukraine after meeting on Friday — despite Putin saying they had come to “an understanding” — as the two leaders offered scant details on what was discussed while heaping praise on each other. In brief remarks as they shared a stage after meeting for about 2 ½ hours in Alaska, Putin said he and Trump had reached an “understanding” on Ukraine and warned Europe not to “torpedo the nascent progress.” But Trump then said, “There’s no deal until there’s a deal” and said he planned to speak with

A U.S. district court decided on Wednesday to strike down a 2017 federal regulation that exempted religious employers from the Affordable Care Act’s mandate for employer-sponsored health insurance to cover the cost of contraception. If the ruling holds, religious non-profit organizations such as the Little Sisters of the Poor, the defendants in the case, may now be required to file for an accommodation process with the government that still maintains employees’ access to contraception without the religious organization having to pay. For-profit employers would have access to no religious exemption from the mandate whatsoever.

Today, NBC News has a more detailed follow-up story which goes into detail about the Texas Dems' exit strategy. A city-run grocery store in Kansas City that was propped up by more than $18 million taxpayer dollars has closed. Sun Fresh Market opened in 2018 in the city-owned Linwood Shopping Center. Part of a Community Improvement District, the shopping center received a multi-million-dollar renovation budget about a decade ago as part of the city’s sprawling revitalization efforts on the east side. But after months of bare shelves, severe crime problems that Kansas City has spent additional money to curb, and what one reporter described as a “rancid odor” connected to improper drain maintenance, Sun Fresh has shut its doors.

CBS’s announcement that it was canceling Stephen Colbert’s “Late Show”—after bleeding between $40 million and $50 million annually—should have been a wake-up call for the late-night industry. NBC, to its credit, seems to be catching on that alienating half the country is a losing formula, and that booking guests who appeal to both the left and right might actually draw viewers back. That lesson became crystal clear last Thursday night, when Greg Gutfeld walked into Studio 6B at Rockefeller Center and pulled off something NBC executives can’t ignore. The Fox News host delivered Jimmy Fallon’s highest-rated “Tonight Show” episode of 2025, drawing 1.7 million viewers

D.C. swampsters are trying to bury the record, hoping the public forgets how bad things were. Its subject will soon be either in the ground or too incapacitated to solicit funding. Biden staffers retaining criminal defense counsel have no interest in a library containing evidence for prosecutors to mine. No reporters from press outlets complicit in enabling chaos are hounding Biden. DOGE revelations testify to his administration's wholesale graft. He and other Israeli officials present it as a humanitarian measure allowing Palestinians to flee war and hardship, and say it should be voluntary. Israel has been in talks with African countries —

Nowhere is this more apparent than on this issue. The Department of Homeland Security is counting coup on a report from the Center for Immigration Studies, noting that 1.6 million illegal aliens have left the United States, most of them voluntarily,
