DHS has implemented a number of programs and used a series of tactics to promote self deportation. "In her first 200 days as secretary, DHS also launched an international, multimillion-dollar ad campaign warning illegal aliens to LEAVE NOW because if they don’t, we will arrest them and deport them. This new data shows illegal aliens are hearing our message," DHS adds in a statement.

Congress’s slashing of federal funding has resulted in one of the most useless agencies shutting down operations.
The far-left Corporation for Public Broadcasting announced in a press release on Friday that they were going to begin the process of closing down for good, despite a supposed outcry from millions of Americans.
The organization cited the shutdown due to the passage of the rescissions package last month and the release of the Senate Appropriations Committee’s FY 2026 Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies (Labor-H) appropriations bill.

The problem isn’t that progressives have made the party too progressive; the problem is rather that today’s progressives aren’t really progressive in the true sense of the term and as a result have led the party into a number of political cul-de-sacs that have nothing to do with progress and dramatically undermine its appeal.

With respect to Israel and Iran, talk of peace is in the air. We are beset with calls from various quarters to “de-escalate” the situation there, lest wider war break out. President Trump, who partnered with Israel in deceiving Iran prior to Israel’s preemptive strike, is now talking about making another deal with Iran. I hope he doesn’t mean it. The last thing Israel, or anyone else, should be thinking about is another agreement with the mullahs.

A suspected illegal alien was killed after darting onto a freeway to avoid contact with federal immigration officers conducting an enforcement operation at a Home Depot store in Monrovia on Thursday, according to city officials. The man was struck by a passing motorist and taken to a hospital, where he later died.
Monrovia City Manager Dylan Fiek says the man ran from the Home Depot parking lot onto the 210 Freeway and likely was fleeing to avoid detection by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in the city located 20 miles north of Los Angeles.

The U.S. Department of State announced Saturday morning that it was stopping a visa program that allowed residents of Gaza to enter the United States for "medical-humanitarian" reasons. This comes after videos of large groups of Gazans—often decked out in "Palestinian" flags and keffiyehs associated with the terror group Hamas—arriving at airports across the nation began popping up on social media in the last few weeks.
According to this State Department tweet, the program is being paused while officials review the "process and procedures" that have allowed a stream of injured children from Gaza, often accompanied by several family members, into the country.

US District Judge Sparkle Sooknanan, a Biden appointee, issued an injunction against the FTC and blocked its investigation into Media Matters.

Three people were killed and eight others wounded when multiple gunman opened fire inside a Brooklyn restaurant around closing time Sunday morning.
Officers responded to calls of a shooting inside Taste of the City Lounge at 903 Franklin Avenue in the Crown Heights neighborhood just before 3:30 a.m., NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said at a press briefing.
The fatal victims were identified as three men, who were 27, 35, and an unknown age.
The eight wounded victims were transported to local hospitals. However, their conditions were not disclosed.

Noem's Post on X provides more specific numbers. It's actually 1.6 million. Still that's a good start. Now, only 20-30 million to go. (IMO, most reports in the media intentionally understate the scope of the problem, and too often conservatives accept those estimates uncritically.)
