Victory: Far-Left Corporation for Public
Broadcasting Shutting Down Operations

Congress’s slashing of federal funding has resulted in one of the most useless agencies shutting down operations. The far-left Corporation for Public Broadcasting announced in a press release on Friday that they were going to begin the process of closing down for good, despite a supposed outcry from millions of Americans. The organization cited the shutdown due to the passage of the rescissions package last month and the release of the Senate Appropriations Committee’s FY 2026 Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies (Labor-H) appropriations bill.

I presume they are hoping they will make a huge outcry and regain funding which is only 1% of their total needed. The local affiliates seem to need 13% of their funding from the government which is likely why NPR needs to close since those stations pay NPR to have their programming. Now, if we can get to a point where we can pick the stations al a carte instead of being forced to pay for programs we don't want or like, that will be a good step in freedom of choice.

The 1% number was from NPR and public TV. 100% of CPB's $465 million budget was tax dollars. The Corporation for Public Broadcasting is a private corporation funded by taxpayers. Leftists would lose their minds if there was a conservative private corporation that was funded with tax dollars.

I used to listen to NPR daily on the drive to and from work. Yes, there was bias 30 years ago, but I was able to ignore it. But, the bias go worse and worse to the point where I felt ridiculed and mocked. I stopped listening probably 15 years ago. Every once in awhile I turn it on, until my blood pressure spikes. Usually in under 5 minutes. Its not the bias that hacks me off. Its the smug superiority, belittling and outright false information peddled as gospel. If I want to be talked down too, I can listen to recordings of the light bringers speeches.

USAID, the money laundering bank for leftist causes. Taking them down was huge! "According to the release, the CPB told its employees that the majority of staff positions would end at the close of the fiscal year, which is on September 30, 2025. A ‘small’ transition team would then remain through January 2026 to ensure a proper closing of operations." Notice small is in quotes. . . You don't need a transition team to shut down something useless. Just turn the lights off.

Today’s Non-Progressive Progressives 4 replies

he Democratic Party is in sad shape, by its own self-report and in the view of most observers. At the same time, the party is seemingly more progressive and more dominated by progressives than it has been for a good long time. Are the two things related? Yes, they are—but not in the way most people think. The problem isn’t that progressives have made the party too progressive; the problem is rather that today’s progressives aren’t really progressive in the true sense of the term and as a result have led the party into a number of political cul-de-sacs that have nothing to do with progress and dramatically undermine its appeal.

Barack Obama wants you to think he had nothing to do with the Russia collusion hoax, but that lie is unraveling fast. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has declassified a trove of documents that expose how the Obama administration faked the January 2017 intelligence report to falsely accuse Trump of colluding with Russia. The evidence includes a 2020 House Intelligence Committee report, which confirms that despite no cyber interference from Russia, Obama pushed for a new intelligence community assessment (ICA) in late 2016 to shape a narrative that Putin was helping Trump. It was all part of a desperate attempt to undermine a duly elected president.

With a new president in charge and the Department of Justice not looking to give Democrats anymore passes, Sen. Adam Schiff's chickens may finally be coming home to roost. As RedState reported back in 2023, the senator claimed a Maryland home as his "primary residence" on a federally-insured loan document. By doing so, he secured a lower mortgage rate. The problem? He's a politician from Burbank, CA, who would not have been eligible to hold the elected offices he held from 2003-2025 if his primary residence were in another state. So one way or the other, it looks like Schiff lied.

In their heedless rush to enact a deficit-exploding tax bill so massive that they barely understand it, Senate Republicans call to mind a scene in The Sopranos. A group of young aspiring gangsters decides to stick up a Mafia card game in hopes of gaining the mobsters’ respect and being brought into the crew. At the last moment, the guys briefly reconsider, before one of them supplies the decisive argument in favor of proceeding: “Let’s do it before the crank wears off...” Like the Mafia wannabes, congressional Republicans have talked themselves into a plan so incomprehensibly reckless that to describe it is to question its authors’ sanity.

Wisconsin’s liberal‑controlled Supreme Court, locked in a 4–3 ideological split, refused to intervene in Democratic efforts to redraw the state’s GOP‑dominated congressional map. Democrats claim the maps are a gerrymandered power grab, crying foul as they see their roadmap to regaining House control vanish. The Elias Law Group and Campaign Legal Center filed dual petitions in May, urging the Court to invalidate the 6‑2 Republican‑leaning congressional configuration, claiming it violates the state’s constitutional promise of equal representation.

With respect to Israel and Iran, talk of peace is in the air. We are beset with calls from various quarters to “de-escalate” the situation there, lest wider war break out. President Trump, who partnered with Israel in deceiving Iran prior to Israel’s preemptive strike, is now talking about making another deal with Iran. I hope he doesn’t mean it. Now it threatens to do so again.Recently, I wrote an essay on the late 19th-century Russian pogroms that forced my great-grandparents to flee to the United States. It wasn't until his family showed up with a birth certificate and a Social Security card that he was released.

It's hard to fathom the evil that led to creating fake intelligence to frame then-presidential candidate Donald Trump as a Russian spy and traitor to his country. We've seen in recently declassified documents that Hillary Clinton didn't do this alone. She commanded dozens, if not hundreds, of willing participants, including the George Soros foundation, President Barack Obama, the FBI, the weaponized intelligence agencies, and others, to bring Donald to his knees.Buried deep in the latest tranche of declassified documents called the Durham annex report, however, a deep state hawk has found something that is equally or more evil than changing intelligence to manipulate one election's outcome.

And if you think that's absurd, Colbert manages to top it: Ahem. If anyone has reason for gratitude toward "the system," it's Harris. She is and has always been an intellectual lightweight who counted on "the system" to keep her in office. It was the Democrat establishment that ensured she kept winning

The Trump administration withdrew $200 million in federal research funding to the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) after a Department of Justice (DOJ) finding Thursday that it had violated the civil rights of Jewish students. As Breitbart News reported earlier this week, UCLA settled a lawsuit brought by Jewish students — and was promptly hit with a DOJ finding that it had violated the Fourteenth Amendment and the Civil Rights Act. Breitbart News reported: In April 2024, UCLA allowed anti-Israel students to set up an “encampment” in the center of campus. The university surrounded it with metal barricades and allowed activists to patrol the encampment boundary.
