Congress’s slashing of federal funding has resulted in one of the most useless agencies shutting down operations. The far-left Corporation for Public Broadcasting announced in a press release on Friday that they were going to begin the process of closing down for good, despite a supposed outcry from millions of Americans. The organization cited the shutdown due to the passage of the rescissions package last month and the release of the Senate Appropriations Committee’s FY 2026 Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies (Labor-H) appropriations bill.

Yes, they are—but not in the way most people think. The problem isn’t that progressives have made the party too progressive; the problem is rather that today’s progressives aren’t really progressive in the true sense of the term and as a result have led the party into a number of political cul-de-sacs that have nothing to do with progress and dramatically undermine its appeal.
Barack Obama wants you to think he had nothing to do with the Russia collusion hoax, but that lie is unraveling fast. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has declassified a trove of documents that expose how the Obama administration faked the January 2017 intelligence report to falsely accuse Trump of colluding with Russia.
The evidence includes a 2020 House Intelligence Committee report, which confirms that despite no cyber interference from Russia, Obama pushed for a new intelligence community assessment (ICA) in late 2016 to shape a narrative that Putin was helping Trump. It was all part of a desperate attempt to undermine a duly elected president.

As RedState reported back in 2023, the senator claimed a Maryland home as his "primary residence" on a federally-insured loan document. By doing so, he secured a lower mortgage rate. The problem? He's a politician from Burbank, CA, who would not have been eligible to hold the elected offices he held from 2003-2025 if his primary residence were in another state. So one way or the other, it looks like Schiff lied.

A group of young aspiring gangsters decides to stick up a Mafia card game in hopes of gaining the mobsters’ respect and being brought into the crew. At the last moment, the guys briefly reconsider, before one of them supplies the decisive argument in favor of proceeding: “Let’s do it before the crank wears off...” Like the Mafia wannabes, congressional Republicans have talked themselves into a plan so incomprehensibly reckless that to describe it is to question its authors’ sanity.

With respect to Israel and Iran, talk of peace is in the air. We are beset with calls from various quarters to “de-escalate” the situation there, lest wider war break out. President Trump, who partnered with Israel in deceiving Iran prior to Israel’s preemptive strike, is now talking about making another deal with Iran. I hope he doesn’t mean it. The last thing Israel, or anyone else, should be thinking about is another agreement with the mullahs.
Rodney Hinton, Jr., a black man from Ohio, reportedly ran down a retired white police officer who was directing traffic for a college graduation—and Hinton has garnered generous support, both from the black community and the left. The officer allegedly murdered by Hinton was a man named Larry Henderson, a public servant who dedicated more than three decades of his life to his community, serving across a number of different law enforcement agencies.

President Trump ordered the dismissal Friday of the head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), hours after the economic data collection agency released a report showing unemployment ticked up last month.
