Inside ‘Gold Bar’ Bob Menendez’s
most brazen abuse of power — and how

Bob Menendez advised Egyptian officials how to cover up their part in the grisly murder of Saudi Arabian dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi. This was an egregious human rights abuse and the biggest betrayal to the values he was elected to uphold as a US senator. The disgraced former New Jersey Democrat — now serving an 11-year sentence for corruption and conspiracy to act as a foreign agent for Egypt and Qatar — had coached his high-level Egyptian contacts how to respond to a grilling about Khashoggi’s assassination in a Saudi embassy before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in June 2021, court records show.

I never cafed about this fraudulent "journalist", who was actually a anti-Saudi activist, in a very strict 7th century monarchy. Is it right to kill him? No, but it was an entirely internal Saudi political action. Their country, their rules. Try to overthrow the king, and fail....oh, darn, what do you think is going to happen? None of our business, as I said at the time. And he wasn't really a journalist.

Menendez got what he deserved...and I hope the prison population treats him poorly....generously speaking....the 11 year sentence was to light...he committed treason...and his payment in gold bars was his undoing....now let's go after pencil neck and get him locked up....he deserves some prison time for all he put President Trump...his family...and WE the people through....the senate needs to censure him and take his seat away.....

What #1 said is likely true. My only satisfaction to this is that Menendez got caught and actually punished in a typical dim bribery scheme.

June 17, 2025 "Bob Menendez, New Jersey’s former senior senator, reported to a federal prison in Pennsylvania Tuesday morning to begin serving an 11-year sentence for selling his political power to two foreign governments and three businessmen in exchange for gold bars, cash, a luxury car, and other riches." "Menendez, 71, is donning a prison jumpsuit 11 days later than U.S. District Judge Sidney H. Stein initially decreed when he sentenced him in January, after successfully seeking a delay so he could attend his stepdaughter’s wedding last weekend." https://newjerseymonitor.com/2025/06/17/bob-menendez-new-jerseys-disgraced-ex-senator-to-head-to-prison/ Many more to go......

Jack Schlossberg brought a van to greet Senator Chuck Schumer and the Kennedy heir left with a job from Washington's most powerful Democrat. Schlossberg remains an object of fascination from his often strange social media posts, drawing scathing criticism from his mother Caroline's sister-in-law Cheryl Hines earlier this week. Jack is the 32 year old-son of Caroline and Edwin Schlossberg. Hines' husband RFK Jr is the son of Robert 'Bobby' Kennedy, who was President John F. Kennedy's brother.

John Oliver skewered Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) for his decades-long fixation on an imaginary Long Island couple – Joe and Eileen Bailey – questioning why the Democratic leader has allowed non-existent voters to justify his political instincts. In a series of clips from years past, Oliver rolled out the Baileys’ lore, as told by Schumer, on Last Week Tonight. The Baileys, according to the Democrat’s own telling, are a middle-class duo from Massapequa whose political journey began as Reagan Republicans in 1980, “Schumer first introduced the world to the Baileys in his 2007 book, Positively American, winning back the middle-class majority, one family at a time,” the host said.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Aug. 14 declined to block a Mississippi law restricting minors’ access to social media platforms. The court did not explain its new ruling in NetChoice LLC v. Fitch. NetChoice argues the state law violates First Amendment free speech protections.

Bessent notes the backseat demands from EU leaders with their position on the Trump negotiation strategy has worn thin amid their hypocrisy. “It’s time to put up or shut up,” Bessent says, when talking about how the EU is still facilitating the economic purchases of Russian energy products, while simultaneously demanding Trump do this and that. The FBI concluded numerous legacy news media stories that crafted the false Russia collusion narrative contained illegally leaked classified intelligence but failed to definitively identify the leakers. But agents did force a stunning admission that ex-FBI Director James Comey used a special conduit to the Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times in his bid to polish his image and push for a special prosecutor to take down President Donald Trump. Columbia University law professor Daniel Richman admitted to agents in interviews he routinely communicated on behalf of Comey, his longtime friend, with Times reporter Michael Schmidt, whose work was among the newspaper's 2018 Pulitzer-winning stories on Russian election interference.

After the film “Oppenheimer” released in July 2023, the national conversation returned to whether or not the development of the atomic bomb was prudent, and, furthermore, if dropping the nuclear weapon twice on Japan was necessary. These are not new conversations. The questions posed now were posed by prior generations dating back to 1945. Some of these arguments will, perhaps, remain perpetually and be discussed for decades without any consensus, but some of these arguments have been fully debunked. Since he’s proven himself not exactly an Alpha, you might assume his nickname is “Beta.” Close. A federal appeals court panel has cleared the way for the Trump administration to largely dismantle the work of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, lifting a lower-court judge’s injunction that had preserved the agency’s structure — and barred mass layoffs — for months. The 2-1 ruling, authored by Judge Gregory Katsas, said a series of legal defects in the lawsuit brought by CFPB employees and the NAACP doomed the case and required the district court judge’s blockade to be lifted. Katsas, a Trump appointee, said the fatal flaw was the broad challenge against what the employees described as a master plan to shutter the agency altogether.
