Six Months Into Trump 2.0, I Stand Corrected

This week, I got a call from the National Republican Congressional Committee. They wanted a donation. For the first time, I let the volunteer on the other end of the line make her case. When she asked me to donate $100, I said to her: “I want you to know that normally, I would hang up on these calls because the Republican Party would get nothing done, and often squanders its political capital. However, this is the first time I am planning to donate. You are getting sh—t done!”She almost cried with relief, and she thanked me.

We all had to endure FJB and his lying, cheating, disgusting clown administration for 4 years. It was not easy. But I think this 4 year break made Trump a better two term president. It gave him a chance to think, prepare, pick the right people for the administration, dig into the Deep State and their minions. We cannot expect everything to workout nor should we. But so far so good and this guy's brain is running in gear and I look for more good things. There will be struggles but if anyone can pull us out of the mud I think it is Trump. This reminds me of the movie "Miracle" the USA is winning and playing top notch. The Russian coach is a mess and Kurt Russel says smiling ear to ear "He doesn't know what to do". That is the whole dem party. They don't know what to do.

FTA… The most underrated accomplishment of Trump’s Second Term is the massive overhaul of the American University System.” This, i believe, is possibly the most important issue Trump is going after. Our country, our patriotism, our belief in American greatness, is being shredded in our universities and has been now for several generations. Young people don’t believe America is worth standing for, fighting for, protecting. This is where we are losing our country.

Some - perhaps most - of those who run for president are looking for glory, more status, the power and prominence of this high position and historical relevance - to ‘be’ and not ‘do’. President Trump knew he had much to do, to correct, enhance, improve and build. It’s stunning what a difference he has made in improvements for the benefit of millions here in America and abroad. His accomplishments so far are staggering, with more to come. God bless him, and keep him safe and strong.

Trump 2.0 learned one of the most important lessons from his first term and took it to heart - Do not put your faith in establishment republicans (GOPe) to help you pick your team. President Trump came in and brought people he could trust, not only to have his back but to actually go after the goals he had (and had promised) for each of the federal organizations. These were people the GOPe would never recommend because none of them are beholding to the establishment. And in most cases he picked people to lead organizations that had been militarized to harass or attack them. All of these agencies learned, in real time, the meaning of chickens come home to roost... the hard way. Trump 2.0 also learned not to wait for congress to jump in behind him. He learned not to put his faith in today's versions of Paul Ryan... who would have likely stabbed him in the back like Ryan did. (RINOs like Collins, Tillis, Murkowski are still doing it.) Instead, with his base's full support he moved out and demanded congressional leaders either keep up or get out and to a great extent they have. And he took an ax the left's money machine (USAID) which, unsurprisingly, has left major leftist organizations (Media Matters, BlueSky, etc.) begging for funds before they go bankrupt. (Any of y'all noticed antifa's money for protest signage seemed to dry up and disappear? I wonder why.) Add to this finally removing government funds from NPR and PBS; which were icing on the cake. I love it when I hear someone ranting about what Trump 2.0 is doing, like he never explained in detail his intent if he got back in office. BTW, y'all see yesterday's EU concessions? He's achieving more than we could even have imagined. Bottom line: Trump 2.0 learned from his first administration and is using what he learned to help take America back from the lying, thieving jackals who were trying to destroy the very foundations of our country.

Trump is performing magnificently. Congress, on the other hand continues to drag its feet. Are they getting anything done? The Senate has been working on confirmations for 6 months and still aren't finished with them. After months of tough talk on border security, spending cuts, and oversight, House hasn’t delivered on a single major promise. And now they're getting ready to take a month off. It's business as usual with those clowns.

In a 1954 movie about the Dutch resistance during World War II, its fighters took pride in their leader’s courage as he taunted the Germans during nighttime attacks. Brazenly wearing an easily visible white scarf, he was fearless in challenging the enemy to shoot at him. But it was only after the resistance had suffered numerous mission setbacks that a terrible reality came to light. Their leader, known as “The Scarf”, wore the garment, not to antagonize the enemy but to let them know where exactly he was on the battlefield so that, as a German collaborator, he would not be shot by them.

From January 2017 onward, his activities become dramatically darker, arguably illegal, and more forward-looking. On January 5, 2017, a bit more than two weeks before Inauguration, Obama met with Biden, James Comey, John Brennan, James Clapper, Susan Rice, and Assistant Attorney General Sally Yates in the Oval Office. Comey did not disclose this meeting to Congress when asked about how many times he met with Obama. "Twice," he said, under oath. It was actually three times.

Thomas Kolbe has written about the collapse of the German economy, something pretty shocking to those of us who remember when the German economy seemed unstoppable. What’s slammed the brakes on that juggernaut is central planning that revolves around the whole Green New Deal theory. Other European countries are doing the same. Spain and Portugal had a catastrophic power outage thanks to their green energy policies, and, in England, people are getting cold and dirty in a very 19th-century way because of the UK’s drive for “Net Zero.” Had Kamala been elected last year, America would almost certainly have gone down that path, too.

An essay about a new movie and a Facebook post perfectly exemplify why leftist Jews in America and Israel are finding it impossible to defend against genocidal antisemitism. “Guns & Moses” tells the story of a rabbi who discovers that the Second Amendment exists to save innocent lives. As the rabbi investigates a deadly attack against his congregation, he discovers that a gun is his best friend against a murderous antisemitic enemy. The movie is based on the deadly attack against Chabad of Poway in San Diego in 2019. At the film’s end, as the credits roll, writer and director Salvador Litvak has a message:

The German economy is sinking far deeper into recession than previously thought. Recent revisions to the national accounts by the Federal Statistical Office paint a dramatic picture. Quietly and without fanfare, the Federal Statistical Office released new data this week on Germany’s economic output. And, as expected, the figures were revised downward. Instead of shrinking by 0.2% in 2023 as initially reported, Germany’s GDP actually contracted by 0.9%. The outlook for 2024 has also worsened: a projected contraction of 0.5% instead of the previously assumed stagnation. Three Years of Ongoing Recession Anyone who still clung to the illusion of stability must now face reality.

Among the first choices President Trump made, after the November 2024 election that swept him back into the White House, was whom should represent his new administration in the role of spokesperson for the State Department. He named Tammy Bruce, and it's easy to see why. RedState previously wrote about her tireless work speaking on behalf of Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and the U.S. priority of extraditing illegals who have committed heinous violent crimes against American citizens from their home countries to the United States to face justice. Here's one such clip from March showing Bruce at work:
