A peaceful protest was held on Detroit Road in Avon Thursday evening as part of the “Good Trouble” protests happening around the United States. Protesters held signs that read “End corruption, end cruelty,” “Come together in peace,” among other sentiments while chanting, “Hey ho, Donald Trump has got to go.” Local party organizations including the Lorain County Democratic party hosted similar protests throughout the county. (Snip) “Good Trouble Lives On” is a national day of action on July 17 to respond to the attacks on civil and human rights by the Trump administration, according to the website.

An Australian state has asked citizens to surrender machetes at disposal bins ahead of a statewide ban on the weapons aimed at combating knife crime.
Australia’s state of Victoria on Thursday announced that more than 40 machete disposal bins will be available at police stations across the state to allow citizens to safely get rid of the weapons without a penalty before the Sept. 1 ban begins.
"Owning, carrying, using, buying, or selling a machete without a valid exemption or approval will be a criminal offense," the Victorian government said in a statement.
The government is running a "Machete Amnesty" period from Sept. 1 to Nov. 30 to support the safe disposal

We’ve been told for decades that working for the government is a calling, a service to society not unlike being called into the ministry or feeling an obligation to teach the next generation of Americans. If so, why do public employees need unions? Maybe in our lifetimes we’ll see public-sector unions reduced to the rubble they should have been crushed into decades ago.

The redistricting battle in Texas has taken a dramatic new turn, with the FBI now involved in tracking down Democratic lawmakers who fled the state to break quorum. The move follows a formal request from U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, who announced Thursday that the federal government has agreed to assist Texas law enforcement in locating the absent legislators. “I am proud to announce that Director Kash Patel has approved my request for the FBI to assist state and local law enforcement in locating runaway Texas House Democrats,” Sen. Cornyn said in a statement. “We cannot allow these rogue legislators to avoid their constitutional responsibilities.”

One definition of psyop is an operation “that targets the emotional and mental state of the enemy.” Reasons cited for participating in the protest are clearly based on emotion and not intellect; the legislation is to remove corruption, fraud, etc., and not deprive legitimate recipients of government health benefits. Yet again, the Democrat tactic to play on emotion is on display and should serve as a reminder for their past and future hoaxes to destroy their political opponents.
