CNN on Tuesday aired a segment about a family that chose to self-deport to Mexico from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, under President Donald Trump’s second administration.
The Trump administration offers illegal immigrants who self-deport through the CBP Home app a free flight back to their home nation, a $1,000 stipend and forgiveness of any fines incurred for failing to follow through on a previous deportation order, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in June. On “Anderson Cooper 360,” CNN immigration correspondent Priscilla Alvarez reported the inside story of the family, which consists of an illegal immigrant Mexican father with a citizen wife and three children.

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson said during her book tour last weekend that she views Supreme Court opinions as a way to voice her personal convictions.
“I just feel that I have a wonderful opportunity to tell people in my opinions how I feel about the issues, and that’s what I try to do,” Jackson said.
She made the comments during a discussion of her new memoir, “Lovely One,” in front of 4,000 attendees at the Essence Festival of Culture in New Orleans.
Jackson’s conception of her role appears to differ from that of most Supreme Court justices.

Former U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has admitted that President Donald J. Trump was correct on border and immigration issues, stating, “Trump was right,” during an interview. He criticized Democrats for failing to address border security adequately, admitting the U.S.-Mexico border was “under siege” during Joe Biden’s presidency.
Kerry, the Democratic presidential nominee in 2004, remarked, “The first thing any President should say—or anybody in public life—is without a border protected, you don’t have a nation.” He added, “I wish President Biden had been heard more often saying, I’m going to enforce the law.”

Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of President Donald Trump and former co-chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC), told Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow that she is considering a run for Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC)’s seat just days after he announced his retirement from the Senate. Speaking Tuesday on The Alex Marlow Show, which has steadily risen in popularity on the Apple Podcast charts — and recently passed California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s show, The Is Gavin Newsom, as of early Tuesday morning — Lara blasted Tillis as “RINO-esque.”

Spain's government is preparing to block an agreement among NATO countries to raise defence spending to 5% of GDP just days out from a major summit, Spanish media has reported.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte is pushing for members of the transatlantic security bloc to boost their defence spending to 5% GDP by 2032, after US President Donald Trump declared America's allies were shirking their responsibilities.
The proposal stipulates that 3.5% of GDP should be earmarked for core military spending with a further 1.5% dedicated to broader security-related areas such as infrastructure.

The critical follow-on function for a devastating strike like the one Donald Trump just launched against the goat-molesting seventh-century semi-humans ruling Iran is battle damage assessment. BDA is a crucial function – you need to understand how much pain you inflicted and calculate whether you need to inflict some more. But you don’t just do it on the enemy; you have to do it on yourself, too. It’s vital that we, as America First conservatives, conduct our own BDA on what this strike did to our movement.

President Trump on Monday blasted former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev over remarks suggesting Iran’s allies could supply it with nuclear warheads as Tehran promises to retaliate for U.S. strikes on its nuclear facilities.
“The enrichment of nuclear material — and, now we can say it outright, the future production of nuclear weapons — will continue,” Medvedev, the deputy chairman of the Security Council of Russia, said in a Sunday X post. “A number of countries are ready to directly supply Iran with their own nuclear warheads.”
Trump took to Truth Social to ask if Medvedev was “casually throwing around the ‘N word’ (Nuclear!).”

On Sunday morning Russia's former president and current deputy chairman of the country's Security Council Dmitry Medvedev issued his reaction to the major US overnight strike on Iran's nuclear facilities, giving what's essentially the view of where things stand from the Kremlin.
Medvedev in a ten-point list of reactions characterized the attacks as ultimately ineffective, and that it will blow back on America and Israel in a way opposite than intended, especially as Tehran will now only push harder for a nuke, and allied countries might now simply be willing to supply them to the Iranians, he described.

Hours after U.S. Air Force B-2 Spirit stealth bombers departed Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri en route to the Indo-Pacific region, President Trump announced that U.S. forces had "successfully attacked" three nuclear sites in Iran—Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. The president wrote on his Truth Social:
We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space.
A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home.

Since the start of the Israel-Iran war, X-accounts have been claiming that several Chinese aircraft have landed in Iran to supply the country with weapons. However, the main airline involved, Cargolux, has denied the allegations, and the photos from the flight tracking website Flightradar24 have been misconstrued. Since June 12, and the start of the war between Israel and Iran, many Internet users have been claiming that China is secretly supporting Iran militarily, based on images from Flightradar24, a website that enables live tracking of aircraft in flight.

Screenwriter Dustin Lance Black and Milk star Sean Penn criticized Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth for ordering the United States Navy to remove the name of slain gay rights leader Harvey Milk from oiler ship USNS Harvey Milk.
Black and Penn won Academy Award for their work in the 2008 film Milk, and both criticized Hegseth for ordering the removal of Harvey Milk’s name from the ship, describing him as not seeming “like a smart man, a wise man” or knowledgeable, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
“I’ve never before seen a Secretary of Defense so aggressively demote himself to the rank of Chief PETTY Officer,” Penn said in an e-mail to the outlet.

One question for Mr. Mendoza: You and your American wife could have gotten married in Mexico, then returned to the U.S. with you having a resident alien Visa and a fast track to a Green Card. (That would have been a much bigger "win".) Instead, you *chose* to remain illegal. Why?
