Now Zohran Mamdani, in addition to ticking off the Jewish Americans who make up 11% of his city’s population, is ticking off Italian-Americans (another large minority). An old Twitter post (2020) has resurfaced, and it’s not a good look for the wannabe mayor of the Big Apple. Didn’t that communist come to this country for a better life? If Christopher Columbus hadn’t discovered the Bahamas, history would have turned out very, very different.

A Strange, Unsettling Time

The celebrations didn’t last long. President Trump kicked off the festivities at the Iowa State Fair grounds. He was in Iowa to ballyhoo passage of the One, Big Beautiful Bill. The crowd -- as always at Trump rallies -- was enthusiastic. The mammoth measure is the centerpiece of Trump’s second administration. It unlocks the door to a huge boost to the economy and provides a torrent of new monies for tougher border enforcement and mass deportations, among other considerations. Promises made, promises kept.
Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson got brutally exposed twice by her colleagues for being out of her depth. Sure, some could say, ‘Well, of course, the conservative wing would slam her opinions.’ Before they both passed, Justice Antonin Scalia did this often to his friend and colleague Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Yet, this has a different flavor. Amy Coney Barrett came within inches of calling her mentally challenged, later Sonia Sotomayor also pretty much said Jackson was ahead of her skis in the dissent on Trump’s cuts to the federal workforce.

Gladstone is credited with the phrase “justice delayed is justice denied.” I’m seeing quite a few opinion articles and social media posts decrying the numerous investigations and reports into alleged political misdeeds, very few of which are accompanied by subsequent indictments, trials, and convictions.
There are exceptions, of course, such as the case of Senator Bob Menendez (D-N.J.), who was convicted on bribery and corruption charges. But the figures behind the larger scandals never seem to face any consequences, and I think people have had enough

The most lasting and impactful accomplishment will be Trump’s ongoing victories in permanently reining in a rogue and increasingly radicalized federal judiciary. His electoral victory in 2024 and uncompromising battles with the judiciary have rescued the United States from an irreversible decline and fall.
Over the past 70 years, the federal judiciary has increasingly assumed the extra-constitutional role of arbitrarily setting the boundaries of congressional and presidential authority.

None of us ever would have heard of Jeffrey Epstein had the government not brought him up. It was the government that brought charges against him. The government told us that he was “the most prolific child sex trafficker in history.” The government said he was “with intelligence.” The government cut him a sweetheart deal. The government was taken to court by “John Doe” over what the government called “client lists.” The government courts made a ruling about the “client lists” not being released. Senator Dick Durbin blocked the release of the “client list” in the legislative branch of the government. The government said it had “client lists” on its desk.
It’s no secret that Joe Biden nominated Ketanji Brown Jackson to serve on the United States Supreme Court because she is a black woman.* In other words, she was not chosen for her judicial acumen, but for her political identity. That goes a long way to explaining the absolutely lunatic dissent she issued to a Supreme Court order. That order stayed a California district court judge’s ruling blocking President Trump from ordering agency heads to produce plans for possible “Reductions in Force.”

A 62-year-old woman has been charged after driving through a crowd of anti-ICE protesters who surrounded and began pounding on her car in New Jersey.
Linda Roglen, 62, of North Bergen, was driving past the Noches De Colombia on Fairview Avenue in the borough of Fairview when she encountered a group protesting ICE raids on Saturday.
One of the protesters confronted her car, and she sped up, allegedly running over his foot.
The man falls to the ground, Roglen stops, and the protesters swarm her vehicle and begin banging on the windows.
At this point, the car is surrounded, and Roglen slowly drives through.

This week the Department of Justice she heads, for example, just won its 13th Supreme Court victory in six months. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirms that the President is proud of her and considers the “continued fixation or sowing discord on [his] cabinet is baseless and unfounded in reality.
