Yep. We had a niece and her family visiting us in Colorado mountains this week, and the few times we bothered to look at the news, we were all pleased that Trump was shutting these violent criminals down.

Get a couple of huge catapults, set them up near the border, and every time you catch a protester with his mexican flag, wrap him up in it and fling him over the fence. If you can’t get a catapult, one of those cannons they shoot people out of at circuses would work. Sell tickets and popcorn and you could even make a few bucks!

While mainstream news outlets, cable networks and social media obsess over Elon Musk’s latest antics, they have neglected a far more important story — the Trump administration is accumulating a significant catalogue of appeals court and SCOTUS victories. Last Friday alone three more wins were added to the list. The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the White House may exclude AP from its press pool while SCOTUS stayed a district court order requiring DOGE to heed a Freedom of Information Act request and ruled that it can access Social Security Administration records.

Elon Musk is First Buddy no longer. The epic bromance between Musk and President Donald Trump, between the richest man on the planet and the most powerful one, has come to an end, not with a bang but with a tweet: Just days after Trump granted Musk a golden key in an Oval Office send-off from his role as head of DOGE and adviser to the White House, Musk unleashed on the president’s Big Beautiful Bill: “I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore,” he wrote on his social media platform, X. “This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination.

It may seem a bit early to start gaming the 2026 midterm elections, but not for Senate races -- and perhaps especially in Texas, where even a deep-red electorate has its issues with its own incumbents. John Cornyn recently tried to move up the Senate Republican leadership ladder after the retirement of Mitch McConnell, eventually losing to John Thune for Majority Leader. That may not be Cornyn's last loss, according to a new poll out from UpOne Insights and GOP pollster Robert Blizzard. Texas AG Ken Paxton announced a primary challenge against the 73-year-old four-term incumbent, and Blizzard's poll of 600 registered Republican voters shows Cornyn down
Tapper and Thompson Continue Dangerous Cover-Up 11 replies

Now that Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson have published Original Sin, which confirms what most Americans already knew — that former President Joe Biden was cognitively unfit to carry out the duties of his office — the corporate media are attempting to deflect attention from their complicity in a dangerous cover up. The “original sin,” according to Tapper and Thompson, was Biden’s decision to run for reelection in 2024 and the dishonesty of his aides. A far more egregious sin, however, was the cover-up of Biden’s decline by countless journalists who refused to report the truth.

In light of the fresh revelations stemming from the release of the new exposé on Joe Biden, "Original Sin," as well as the recent announcement that the former president has an aggressive form of prostate cancer, questions are being raised about what those closest to him may have known and if so, when they knew it.Among those in the hot seat is Dr. Kevin O'Connor, who was Biden's White House physician and who was also referenced in the book as having a discussion with aides about the possibility that Biden would need to use a wheelchair in his last year and a half in office if he suffered another fall.

A growing number of Democrats are arguing that members of their party need to reconsider their use of certain left-wing words and phrases if they want to better connect with voters they lost in the 2024 election cycle, The Washington Post reported on Tuesday. Some members of the Democratic Party are raising concerns that many of their candidates have become too reliant on using elite-sounding phrases, which they claim is a type of language that could isolate working-class voters, according to the Washington Post. The article cites examples of left-wing words and phrases often used by Democrats, such as “oligarchs,” “equity,” “justice-involved populations” and “intersectionality.”

It’s taken a while, but Democrats are finally confronting the empirical reality of their second loss to Trump. The evidence is impossible to ignore. For example, recent analysis of county-level voting trends in the past three elections by Shane Goldmacher in The New York Times shows that Trump improved his standing in “1,433 of the nation's 3,100+ counties, even as he lost in 2020. Democrats have expanded their vote share continuously in only 57 counties.” Likewise, TLP’s own analysis of the gold-star Catalist data from 2024 shows how the party lost significant ground with major demographic groups from 2012 to 2024, including: black voters (22-point decline), Latinos (27-point decline), working-class

For a sense of how desperate the opponents of President Trump have become, consider the rallying cry issued by Hillary Clinton to her fellow travelers last Friday: “I want you to talk to two people — friends, neighbors, cookout attendees — about why Trump’s proposed budget would be a disaster for American kids.” Now, imagine yourself sitting down to enjoy a hotdog and a beer in the warm spring weather only to be accosted by your progressive brother-in-law who insists on boring the bejabbers out of you with a rote recitation of talking points thoughtfully provided by HRC.

Like a lot of Democrats these days, Chris Murphy has been doing some soul searching. For years, the Connecticut Senator, who took office shortly after the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, was one of the nation’s most outspoken advocates for tighter gun laws. Gun safety was so important, he argued, that supporting an assault-weapons ban should be mandatory for Democratic leaders. Recently, Murphy has come to believe he was wrong. Not about tougher gun laws, but about trying to force all Democrats to adopt his position. “I bear some responsibility for where we are today,” he told me in a phone interview in April.

Let’s talk about a day that California Governor Gavin Newsom would probably like to erase from memory. There are 1,800 protests planned across the country for June 14, with millions expected to attend. Newsweek has contacted the No Kings team for comment via email. Since Trump returned to office in January, there have been nationwide protests—such as the "Hands

US Navy Secretary John Phelan has told the Senate the service needs the right to repair its own gear, and will rethink how it writes contracts to keep control of intellectual property and ensure sailors can fix hardware, especially in a fight. Phelan cited the case of the USS Gerald R. Ford, America's largest and most expensive nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, which carried a price tag of $13 billion. The ship was struggling to feed its crew of over 4,500 because six of its eight ovens were out of action, and sailors were barred by contract from fixing them themselves.

The short-lived feud between President Trump and Elon Musk seems to be winding down, as Musk expressed regret in an early morning social media post for some of his comments criticizing his former political ally. “I regret some of my posts about President @realDonaldTrump last week,” Musk wrote on X. “They went too far.” While Musk did not say which posts he felt contrite about, one was likely his accusation that Trump’s name appeared in the files of billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Musk deleted that post less than two days after making it. He also deleted a separate post that called for Trump’s impeachment.

There’s an old joke line that says, “Don’t confuse me with facts.” It’s also a leftist line of argument. I used to try to argue with a leftist about politics, but whenever I’d bring in facts to counter his theories, he’d storm out, furious that I was polluting the discussion with how the world actually works. Greta Thunberg is a leftist down to the marrow of her bones, so she, too, refuses to have her ideological purity tainted by the facts. That’s why, when Israel attempted to show her and her fellow “selfie” yacht comrades footage of the October 7 atrocities,

There’s a plausible argument that the current spate of civil unrest in deep blue cities is actually a MAGA setup ultimately benefitting Donald J. Trump. Indeed, the “optics” resemble an over-the-top horror movie for the Democrats: giant Mexican flags brandished over burning car wrecks; chunks of cement dropped on police from freeway overpasses; uncontrolled looting; a curfew ignored; molotov cocktails thrown; childishly scrawled f-word graffiti, and vast arrays of mostly young but physically unattractive people. Where’s the mass appeal in that picture? Hollywood would reject a script like that as unbelievable and disgusting.
