Well, my my my. The Washington DC establishment sure seems determined to distance itself from the obvious media and political cover-up of the past four years. No one exemplifies that establishment as Sally Quinn does. Not only is Quinn the doyenne of DC 'society,' she also has a columnist gig at the Washington Post for decades. Quinn was married to legendary Post editor Ben Bradlee for 36 years until his death in 2014, and has long been a formidable figure in the nation's capital, both politically and socially. So when Sally Quinn throws someone under a bus, it means something --

While you’re at it, hook Sally up to a polygraph and ask her what “DC Society” really thought/thinks of Michelle Obama. The SOB Ben Bradlee was complicit in the Nixon coup.

And one of the people illegally using the AutoPen was Hunter Biden - getting money to sign those pardons. Just a suspicion of mine but he had to be looking at ways to acquire money as his father's administration ws coming to an end.

It’s delicious to read the “coming to my senses” articles but it also displays the Democrats raw lust for power and money. They KNEW - but didn’t care because there was money and power to be had. Democrats are completely amoral.

Another Leftist "a Day late and a Dollar short" and convenient excuses as to why that is so. The reality is, Biden had no business being President in the first place. They sold him as a known commodity that people would vote for. Then they pulled every dirty trick in the book to attack Trump and distort the election. Once Biden was installed as President, his keepers took over and it was all downhill from there. And the media HAD TO know some of what was going on and did NOTHING to investigate or stop it. Now, after Biden has been exposed and his disastrous residency, the media is imploding and they know it and hate it. They are squirming to get out of the way of the avalanche that has buried the dems but they are to bound up in it and the graveness of it is severe. Too severe to say, "Oh well, they didn't know or they didn't understand.". They were in on it. Their behavior completely violated their trust as representatives of the Constitutionally defined "Press". No laws can be passed to deal with them but the courts of public opinion will hold full sway and the media is being sentenced to be cast out. They betrayed this Country. They well deserve what is happening to them.

Sally Quinn interesting. Tara whoever is pedestrian and tiresome. There is criticism that Quinn did not do more re disclosing Biden's deficits. Not sure why that mattered. She comes down hard on Jill, and rightly so, for hot having "protected Biden from himself" and" taking care of his dignity." I doubt that that ever crossed avaricious, ambitious Jill's little mind.

JILL wanted to be First Lady, and she was terrible at it. I still remember the unbelted dress, the lack of hosiery, and the bandaid when she met Queen Elizabeth II. Her clothes were terrible, reminiscent of shower curtains and tablecloths. Then the whiny kindergarten teacher voice when she helped Biden in his senility… “Oh Joe, You answered all the questions”?!?! How embarrassing! But Vogue and the fashion rags tried hard to promote her. Stupid mags need to receive a boycott from someone other than I.

The fact that Biden was hidden away during the 2020 election should have been the biggest red flag ever. How any Dem was not on high alert after that campaign should make any person with eyesight slap their head. Why were there hardly any people at his 2020 rallies? Probably because they were so last-minute because Jill had to catch him on a good day. And because they had to limit the number of people who saw him in person so that they could contain the damage in case he went into sun-downer syndrome too early in the day, etc. The liberals in the media need to examine their own thinking in all of this to understand that their brains are so biased that they cannot actually "see" what is interesting front of their face.

Like a lot of Democrats these days, Chris Murphy has been doing some soul searching. For years, the Connecticut Senator, who took office shortly after the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, was one of the nation’s most outspoken advocates for tighter gun laws. Gun safety was so important, he argued, that supporting an assault-weapons ban should be mandatory for Democratic leaders. Recently, Murphy has come to believe he was wrong. Not about tougher gun laws, but about trying to force all Democrats to adopt his position. “I bear some responsibility for where we are today,” he told me in a phone interview in April.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom is angling to be the Democratic presidential nominee in 2028 by trying to appeal to voters outside his progressive base. But he's not fooling anyone. Newsom, for example, has proposed limiting health care coverage for migrants who entered the country illegally. He's told local leaders in California to clear homeless encampments, which are a bane for urban dwellers from San Francisco to San Diego. And he's even engaged on his podcast in thoughtful, cordial conversations with conservatives like Charlie Kirk, cofounder of Turning Point USA.

President Trump’s return to the White House and his populist agenda constitute an existential threat to a Democratic Party so unpopular with its own voters that it is in danger of going the way of the Whigs. Several recent polls have revealed that only about 1 in 3 Democrats are optimistic about the future of their party. In response to this crisis, their leaders have reverted to their longstanding tradition of inciting political violence. James Comey claims he is “nonaligned” politically, yet his now notorious “8647” Instagram post was all too typical of Democrat calls for the President’s assassination.

I realize we increasingly have become a society that embraces a “my way or the highway” attitude. Both sides are guilty of that way of thinking. Yet, it seems especially egregious from those on the left. Progressives’ lack of tolerance for other views has presented itself in different iterations, from the cancel culture phenomenon to angry demonstrations on college campuses when a conservative dares to speak. So perhaps it's not surprising that liberals love slapping labels on those who have the audacity to believe something different from progressive dogma. Nazi. Hitler. Bigot. Hater. To name a few.

Stock markets soared May 12 after President Donald Trump announced a temporary trade deal with China. The move eases concerns at least for now about the softening economy and fears of a fresh round of inflation. It also raises important questions: Will Trump seal a permanent deal? If he does, will his critics recognize that his gamble on tariffs paid off? News of the trade agreement sent stock markets soaring. The S&P 500 climbed more than 3%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged more than 1,100 points and the Nasdaq Composite rose more than 4.3%. If the 2024 election told us nothing else, it confirmed that the voters aren’t nearly as credulous as the Democrats and the corporate media believe them to be. Indeed, according to a survey conducted by the Pew Research Center six weeks prior to the election, only 22 percent of American adults believed news organizations deal fairly with all sides. Ironically, considering that the news coverage of the Trump administration has been overwhelmingly negative, the primary beneficiaries of this brazenly biased reporting appear to have been President Donald Trump and the Republican Party.

The Catholic Church has issued a warning to its clergy in Washington state: Any priest who complies with a new law requiring the reporting of child abuse confessions to authorities will be excommunicated. The new law, which will take effect on July 27, eliminates the long-standing confidentiality of the confessional, forcing Catholic leaders and lawmakers into a highly charged standoff over religious liberty and child protection. However, the Archdiocese of Seattle and several bishops argue that the law not only contravenes church doctrine but crosses constitutional lines, while supporters maintain it is a crucial step to protect minors from abuse.

Illinois governor J. B. Pritzker’s 2025 budget reveals a notable retreat from progressive ambitions. Despite his past advocacy for expansive government programs and robust social spending, Pritzker proposes neither substantial tax increases nor significant new initiatives. Most conspicuously absent from his accompanying budget speech was any mention that the state would no longer fund free health care for illegal aliens aged 42 to 64. Extending coverage to that age cohort had been one of his recent progressive efforts, introduced with fanfare. The governor had to abandon it after costs surged 286 percent beyond original projections, producing budgetary shortfalls of hundreds of millions of dollars.

He blasted the regime for orchestrated land seizures and escalating violence, calling the country “a bad place to be right now.” At the same time, he offered a fast track to U.S. citizenship for South African farmers and their families seeking safety from persecution. The black-led South African government has flatly denied any campaign of anti-white violence, brushing off the attacks as fiction and painting any criticism as offensive. Needless to say, Amtrak was totally out as an option. Despite its impracticality and expense, the left loves to romanticize train travel.
