In light of the fresh revelations stemming from the release of the new exposé on Joe Biden, "Original Sin," as well as the recent announcement that the former president has an aggressive form of prostate cancer, questions are being raised about what those closest to him may have known and if so, when they knew it.Among those in the hot seat is Dr. Kevin O'Connor, who was Biden's White House physician and who was also referenced in the book as having a discussion with aides about the possibility that Biden would need to use a wheelchair in his last year and a half in office if he suffered another fall.

A growing number of Democrats are arguing that members of their party need to reconsider their use of certain left-wing words and phrases if they want to better connect with voters they lost in the 2024 election cycle, The Washington Post reported on Tuesday.
Some members of the Democratic Party are raising concerns that many of their candidates have become too reliant on using elite-sounding phrases, which they claim is a type of language that could isolate working-class voters, according to the Washington Post. The article cites examples of left-wing words and phrases often used by Democrats, such as “oligarchs,” “equity,” “justice-involved populations” and “intersectionality.”

It’s taken a while, but Democrats are finally confronting the empirical reality of their second loss to Trump. The evidence is impossible to ignore.
For example, recent analysis of county-level voting trends in the past three elections by Shane Goldmacher in The New York Times shows that Trump improved his standing in “1,433 of the nation's 3,100+ counties, even as he lost in 2020. Democrats have expanded their vote share continuously in only 57 counties.” Likewise, TLP’s own analysis of the gold-star Catalist data from 2024 shows how the party lost significant ground with major demographic groups from 2012 to 2024, including: black voters (22-point decline), Latinos (27-point decline), working-class

For a sense of how desperate the opponents of President Trump have become, consider the rallying cry issued by Hillary Clinton to her fellow travelers last Friday: “I want you to talk to two people — friends, neighbors, cookout attendees — about why Trump’s proposed budget would be a disaster for American kids.” Now, imagine yourself sitting down to enjoy a hotdog and a beer in the warm spring weather only to be accosted by your progressive brother-in-law who insists on boring the bejabbers out of you with a rote recitation of talking points thoughtfully provided by HRC.

Well, my my my. The Washington DC establishment sure seems determined to distance itself from the obvious media and political cover-up of the past four years. No one exemplifies that establishment as Sally Quinn does. Not only is Quinn the doyenne of DC 'society,' she also has a columnist gig at the Washington Post for decades. Quinn was married to legendary Post editor Ben Bradlee for 36 years until his death in 2014, and has long been a formidable figure in the nation's capital, both politically and socially.
So when Sally Quinn throws someone under a bus, it means something --

Like a lot of Democrats these days, Chris Murphy has been doing some soul searching. For years, the Connecticut Senator, who took office shortly after the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, was one of the nation’s most outspoken advocates for tighter gun laws. Gun safety was so important, he argued, that supporting an assault-weapons ban should be mandatory for Democratic leaders.
Recently, Murphy has come to believe he was wrong. Not about tougher gun laws, but about trying to force all Democrats to adopt his position. “I bear some responsibility for where we are today,” he told me in a phone interview in April.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom is angling to be the Democratic presidential nominee in 2028 by trying to appeal to voters outside his progressive base. But he's not fooling anyone.
Newsom, for example, has proposed limiting health care coverage for migrants who entered the country illegally. He's told local leaders in California to clear homeless encampments, which are a bane for urban dwellers from San Francisco to San Diego. And he's even engaged on his podcast in thoughtful, cordial conversations with conservatives like Charlie Kirk, cofounder of Turning Point USA.

President Trump’s return to the White House and his populist agenda constitute an existential threat to a Democratic Party so unpopular with its own voters that it is in danger of going the way of the Whigs. Several recent polls have revealed that only about 1 in 3 Democrats are optimistic about the future of their party. In response to this crisis, their leaders have reverted to their longstanding tradition of inciting political violence. James Comey claims he is “nonaligned” politically, yet his now notorious “8647” Instagram post was all too typical of Democrat calls for the President’s assassination.

Hello, this is Victor Davis Hanson for The Daily Signal. I’ve been critical of the media, as many of you are. But recently it’s jumped the proverbial shark. In other words, it’s gotten so outrageous, it’s almost incomprehensible, unfathomable.
Elon Musk, according to the Media Research Center, has had 96% unfavorable coverage in our American media. What did he do that was so wrong? He rescued astronauts who were stranded in space. Tesla has revolutionized the electric vehicle industry. Social media is open and free, due to his acquisition of X. I realize we increasingly have become a society that embraces a “my way or the highway” attitude. Both sides are guilty of that way of thinking.
Yet, it seems especially egregious from those on the left.
Progressives’ lack of tolerance for other views has presented itself in different iterations, from the cancel culture phenomenon to angry demonstrations on college campuses when a conservative dares to speak.
So perhaps it's not surprising that liberals love slapping labels on those who have the audacity to believe something different from progressive dogma.

Oh, my GAWD -this is getting so good.
I mean, to the point where there's no 'Republic of Alberta...YET,' good.
The morning after the country went to the polls, Alberta Premier Danielle Smith laid down the law to newly elected Canadian Prime Minister and WEF/Davos climate cult toadie Mark Carney that she - meaning Alberta - wasn't going to stand for any NetZero nonsense out of Ottawa. They'd quite had their fill, thank you.

Stock markets soared May 12 after President Donald Trump announced a temporary trade deal with China. The move eases concerns at least for now about the softening economy and fears of a fresh round of inflation.
It also raises important questions: Will Trump seal a permanent deal? If he does, will his critics recognize that his gamble on tariffs paid off?
News of the trade agreement sent stock markets soaring. The S&P 500 climbed more than 3%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged more than 1,100 points and the Nasdaq Composite rose more than 4.3%.
Stock analysts told USA TODAY that the trade deal means record highs
