On Friday, Joe Biden gave a speech at the annual Memorial Day event at Veterans Memorial Park in New Castle, Del. — his first public remarks since the revelation of his cancer diagnosis. And it went as well as you would expect. And if you expected him to make the speech about himself and his family, you were right. What should have been a solemn tribute to the men and women who laid down their lives for this country turned into yet another chapter in the Biden family memoir. It’s time to adjust our sails. On the heels of Tuesday’s electoral victories, the Democrats are motivated and energized: In their estimation, the so-called “Schumer Shutdown” is working marvelously, because the American people are blaming the Republicans.
And the Democrats are reaping the political benefits.
That’s because voters know that the White House, Senate, and House are all under GOP control, but they don’t really understand the nuances of parliamentary procedure. (Yawn: boring!) Instead of focusing on the 60-man threshold necessary to overcome a Democratic filibuster, they’re focusing on leadership:
The left always cares more about narrative than the truth. A split-second image can fuel outrage, (Snip) Yet behind the noise lay a moment that said more about leadership than any carefully crafted address could.
That moment came during a White House event on Thursday focused on expanding access to obesity treatments. In the middle of the ceremony, a guest suddenly collapsed in the Oval Office as President Trump spoke about making life-saving weight-loss medications more affordable and accessible for Americans struggling with obesity. White House medical staff rushed to assist, and after prompt on-site care, the man is reportedly in stable condition.
The Supreme Court's decision to allow the administration to pay only partial SNAP benefits during the shutdown gives Donald Trump and the Republicans in Congress a clear road to victory in the shutdown fight now entering its 39th day.
SCOTUS recognized that this is not a separation of powers constitutional issue. It's a political issue, and the Supreme Court tends to avoid intervening in political disputes. The ball is now firmly in the hands of the Democrats, who have gotten themselves into a no-win situation.

Of course, the person in question, Alexis Black, claims to be transitioning; (Snip) And with media attention comes media scrutiny. In a New York Post exclusive, the publication discovered that before Alexis Black transitioned, Kyle Grant Freeman assaulted his then-wife, ironically also named "Alexis," and fractured her jaw. The real Alexis required surgery to repair the damage.

Friday evening – Fox News Digital is reporting that a federal grand jury out of the Southern District of Florida has served subpoenas on notorious former FBI agent Peter Strzok and his onetime paramour, former FBI lawyer Lisa Page.
A total of up to 30 subpoenas are expected to be handed down on numerous individuals involved with the fake Russia collusion investigations into Donald Trump in the Crossfire Hurricane operation.

There it was this morning, plain as day. It was a screenshot of a woman going off about how her food stamps were cut off, the $1,000 per month she and her family supposedly get from the government, juxtaposed against her being called out by someone else for hair extensions, expensive trips to the nail salon, and tattoos. In short, she wastes money on unnecessary things and then demands money from the government to support herself.
She's squandering money on luxuries while relying on the taxpayers to fund her groceries for anywhere between four and seven people in her household.
And worse, there's no sense of shame among many of these people.

I wrote earlier this week about local spots stepping up to care for their neighbors in need, and the comments are fantastic. One of the lines that seemed to resonate with readers was "Little Sally loves popsicles! It's simple: pour orange juice into a paper cup, put a stick in the cup, put the cup in the freezer, wait two hours."
It was never about families. An illegal alien father in Indiana who agreed to self-deport was supposed to have his child with him. The Indianapolis school district said no, just so it could thumb its nose at ICE.
Democrats are perfectly happy for children to be trafficked and shipped all around the country to suspicious individuals not related to them, which is how the Biden administration lost track of over 320,000 children. But if an illegal alien father wants to take his child with him as he leaves America, or if immigration authorities say families should be kept together in deportation, leftists scream bloody murder.

Who would have thunk it? Marjorie Taylor Greene, Morning Joe's favorite Republican member of Congress! But with her recent moves to distance herself from President Trump and the GOP at large, MTG is winning Morning Joe hearts and minds. The latest came today. After the show aired Trump's pointed criticism of Nancy Pelosi in reaction to her announcement that she would not be seeking re-election, and Speaker Mike Johnson's less critical but not flattering comments, the show aired MTG saying: "I will praise Nancy Pelosi. In New Jersey, the Democrats won a yuge race for governor. Democrat Rep. Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11), despite being a terrible candidate according to normal candidate metrics, beat Republican Jack Ciattarelli 56.3 percent to 43.2 percent.
My prediction was totally off here, as I assumed that the Republican nominee would win a narrow majority or plurality. In this race, Democrats broke a historical trend going back to 1961,

Voters chose a 34-year-old Democrat Socialist promising frozen rents, higher taxes on the wealthy, more public spending, etc. You know, all the things communists promise before their overblown Marxism takes control. Something strange happened in New Jersey on election night, and the numbers just don't add up. Republican Jack Ciattarelli lost the gubernatorial race to Democratic Representative Mikie Sherrill by a stunning 56% to 43% margin, a blowout that left pollsters scratching their heads and conservatives asking hard questions about what really went down in the Garden State.
This was supposed to be a competitive race. Trump only lost the state by six points a year prior, and, if you were following this race, you know that Ciattarelli had momentum heading into Election Day, picking up endorsements from local Democrats and labor unions along the way.
