Former New York Democrat Congressman Charles Rangel has passed away.
He was 94.
Rangel served 23 terms in Congress. He was elected to Congress in 1970 and retired in 2017.
“A towering figure in American politics and a champion for justice, equity, and opportunity, Congressman Rangel dedicated over four decades of his life to public service,” the Rangel family said in a statement.
NYC Mayor Eric Adams released a statement on Rangel’s death.
“I am so sad to lose a dear friend and exemplary model of devotion and courage. My prayers are with his family, Harlem, and all who knew him,” Adams said.

Kamala Harris has been pretty scarce since she got wiped out in the November election.
But for some reason, she spoke at a real estate conference in Australia over the weekend. Frankly, I don't know why anyone interested in real estate would want to hear from her. However, she was interviewed for an hour by real estate industry veteran John McGrath.
Now you know how tipped the scales were in such an interview when he referred to her as “one of the most successful women in history” with “her best work ahead of her,” according to The Guardian. Can I laugh now? Don't you mean the most unsuccessful woman in history?

Conservative commentators blasted CBS's Scott Pelley for his baseless anti-President Donald Trump commencement speech, falsely claiming that journalism and the "rule of law" were under attack.
A video surfaced on X over the weekend of the "60 Minutes" anchor's May 19 speech to the graduating class of 2025 at Wake Forest University in North Carolina, in which he makes a series of insane claims about the state of America now under Trump. During Pelley's entire rant, he avoids actually naming the president.
"But in this moment, this morning, our sacred rule of law is under attack," Pelley said with no example as to what he was talking about.

Let's first just cut to the chase:
Oh, hell no — you can have my awesome new Weber gas grill when pry it from my cold dead hands.
We "climate destroyers" can't seem to do anything without the climate scolds trying to suck the fun out of every bit of life — either by attempting to guilt-shame us, or by shoving their "climate-friendly" alternatives down our throats.
Memorial Day weekend presented a perfect opportunity for the ever-pretentious climate catastrophizers of taxpayer-supported PBS to press Americans to kick their "fossil fuel grills" to the curb in favor of "climate-friendly" electric grills.
Again, in my climate-destroying [ahem] world, that just ain't gonna happen.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) announced on Sunday that she plans to vie for the top position on the House Oversight Committee.
After Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-VA) passed away last week, there has been speculation as to which lawmaker will become the Democrats’ ranking member on the committee.
During an appearance on MSNBC, Crockett announced her plan to run for the seat and suggested that if Democrats retake control of the House in the next midterm elections, she would launch an investigation into President Donald Trump.
The host asked whether she believed Democrats would pursue a probe into he president’s family,

Before His arrest, Jesus told His disciples to prepare for the road ahead—even if it meant arming themselves. Not for conquest. Not for aggression, but for survival and the fulfillment of a mission that would cost Him His life. That same readiness—physical, moral, and spiritual—defines the American warrior, especially those we remember on Memorial Day. “But now let the one who has a moneybag take it, and likewise a knapsack. And let the one who has no sword sell his cloak and buy one.” — Luke 22:36
The last Monday in May is a day of solemnity. It is arguably the most important day of national remembrance in the patriot’s calendar—

Many of my fellow America First conservatives need to take a chill pill and calm the hell down. I get the frustration. I get the irritation. We’ve waited decades for justice. We’ve waited decades to use the power granted to us by the American people to reshape this country back into something like it was rather than the gross, formless blob of neo-commie failure it has become. But this Gramscian Rome wasn’t built in a day, and we’re not going to burn it down overnight, no matter how hard we fiddle. Start taking “Yes” for an answer, conservatives.
Let’s take some of the more common gripes,

Republicans and Democrats don’t use PR the same way.
If you’re a Republican, your relationship with the mainstream media is almost always adversarial. They’re an obstacle that must be carefully circumvented — or directly bulldozed — but no conservative since John McCain views ‘em as an ally. At best, they’re a useful foil.
At worst? They’re your biggest frickin’ headache.
Republicans had to literally build a completely separate ecosystem — Fox News, alternative media (like this site), X.com, and podcasts — just to have a fighting chance.
Not so with Democrats. If you’re a tofu-munching liberal, the mainstream media is your ally, best friend, and collaborative partner. You vote the same way;

Left-wing media very much wants President Donald Trump to have dementia. At first, they began peddling this narrative to distract from former President Joe Biden’s obvious cognitive decline. Now, they are likely using it for a similar reason. The Insider published a so-called “investigation” into Trump’s supposed cognitive issues during his second term. It enlisted several mental health professionals to support their narrative. Dr. Bandy Lee, formerly of Yale University, claimed the president is showing clear signs of early dementia. These signs include reduced vocabulary, incoherence, impulsivity, and “paraphasias,”

Former Obama aides Jon Favreau and Dan Pfeiffer spoke about one of the main things that’s gnawing at liberals: Trump has taken over their coalition. The Republican Party is now a multi-racial working-class party. Republicans are winning enough women and Latino voters, which makes this latest iteration of the GOP virtually unbeatable. The only good news for Democrats is that Trump is term-limited, and there’s nothing permanent in politics.
It's an underreported gripe, but the data and the exit polling don’t lie. Pfieffer especially went into how if Democrats don’t reverse course and have the tough discussions about their messaging, agenda, and campaign strategy, they’re on the path toward total annihilation.

President Donald Trump delivered a powerful message to the 2025 graduating class at West Point, telling the new Army officers, “You are winners.” In his first military commencement address of his second term, Trump praised the cadets for their discipline, patriotism, and commitment to defending the nation—qualities he said are too often underappreciated in today’s politically correct climate. The speech marked a return to Trump’s America First approach to military leadership, emphasizing strength, honor, and a refusal to bow to globalist agendas.
On Saturday, Trump addressed the West Point graduates, who chanted “USA, USA,” by congratulating the young men and women and saying he can “proudly say mission accomplished.”

There was a time, not so long ago, when climate scientist Michael Mann could bully critics into silence with the mere threat of a lawsuit. He was the face behind the infamous "hockey stick" graph, a man lauded by progressives, featured in Al Gore's documentary, and embraced by a media eager to label skeptics as dangerous deniers. But the courtroom, as it turns out, is no place for manufactured myths or moral grandstanding.
A Washington, D.C. court just handed Mann a bruising legal defeat. After more than a decade of litigation, he has been ordered to pay over $1 million in attorney's fees to the very people he accused of defamation:
