Another Tennessee television network publishes a story about how recent ICE arrests will impact the state’s economy without discussing who has been arrested.
On Wednesday, WSMV4 published a story talking about how the construction industry is being impacted by the federal government’s arrest of illegal immigrants.
The Department of Homeland Security announced this week that almost 200 criminal illegal aliens were arrested. Ninety-five of these individuals had prior criminal convictions and pending criminal charges. Another 31 people had entered America illegally after being deported, which is a felony.
The outlet talked to an owner of a construction business,

Even if it is true. If they are illegal, I don't see how that hurts or why anyone should care.

Oh the horror, the horror! Now Americans may have to be hired to do construction work. Imagine what that might do to the voters now in the Democrat welfare state. They may actually start (gasp) voted Refublican!

Couple of points. Sources aren't named--that makes them worthless. Sources aren't named because they were complicit in the importation and hiring of illegal aliens. Finally, I dare say construction projects will improve when fly-by-night crews are no longer on site.

Weird, weird, as if we didn't build anything before Joe ripped open the border and invited them in.
I'd rather pay more up front for proper construction than pay later when it's falling apart. Buyers will pay one way or another.

The only construction workers who would have a reason to not show up and talk with the ICE (Immigration Officers) officers are illegal aliens. That’s just common sense, so what is the big deal? Duh!

Take the $1000 and a plane ticket and go home. Eventually, given the success of deportation, we'll get around to you anyhow. Then you'll get nothing, and lose your opportunity to return the right way. (legally)
The time is now. Do it now.

It doesn't seem to hamper the truck drivers that the home improvement stores continue to hire. Last week, Luis delivered my materials and did a good job. I said Gracious.

More good news. ONLY illegals will not show up. That's great news.
The headline tries to make this good news into a problem. Nope, not a problem.

Less of them on the road while citizens drive to work. That’s a plus, it’s already dangerous enough out there.

Nashville....where the City Govt is more worried about the construction workers that traveled thousands of miles, crossing many borders to "Take" the jobs of citizens that will not cross the street, let alone go crosstown, in order to GET a Job. In NYC Journeyman carpenters get over $100hr, in most states/areas it is well over $45hr...Nashville has carpentry schools and apprentice programs, construction is booming as the city booms, locals that have been "Perpetually unemployed" have zero excuse for not working, and should be cut off from the unemployment/welfare they have been featherbedding upon. Booms pass, go bust,, but they DO provide 1st work opportunities to millions, initiating a "Skilled" workforce with some pride in Life.(I started working at 15yo as a carpenters helper in the houston area during a Boom, as a helper on a mexican crew, that house was finished and I got hired to an anglo crew, the boom was big enough that I was able to become a subcontractor within a year, spent the next 30years becoming a Master Carpenter, specializing in Historic Restorations/Repairs on National Historic Registry structures...including the Whitehouse, traveled a LOT...got paid a LOT.)
