“The View” doesn’t want anyone to sue.
The co-hosts of the controversial ABC talk show were forced to issue four “legal notes” during Friday’s broadcast after they discussed allegations leveled at several of President-elect Donald Trump’s cabinet nominees.
The legal notes — which are disclaimers provided by the subjects’ lawyers — pertained to remarks made on-air by the show’s stars Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin.
During a segment discussing George Santos, Behar brought up the former congressman’s 23 criminal charges, including wire fraud.

I watched The View once a couple of years ago and that was it so I don't know who their sponsors are to boycott. I realize that they won't miss my purchases but it makes me feel better not giving money to enemies of our country.

The View - aka You Can't Unsee Them - perhaps can be re-civilized by shock therapy. Or exhausted into quitting. To make way for someone with integrity.

So they are going to rename the show "Legal Notes" when all they do during their hour is read legal notes. It might be worth watching the show to see their heads explode.
This exposes the weakness of Leftist shows. They can get away with some behavior because politics is rather open season. However, fully consumed with TDS, these shrews thought they could take things wherever they want, attacking anyone they want. In general, it doesn't work that way and as they try to spew their venom more broadly, they are going outside political bounds.
Their lawyers and the sponsors lawyers KNOW they are crossing boundaries and if they go too far the legal and cost repercussions will be bad. Advertisers don't want View junk all over them.
So here we are. The View clowns are being herded into a smaller room with guardrails around it and you can see the harpies all HATE it. Now THAT'S entertainment.

I’m incredulous+ at the print media and attention these low-IQ womens get.
WHO watches their show…and why?
And why do media outlets insist on commenting on their drivel and self-important musings?
There’s not a brain among them. The whole thing needs to be sued out of existence.

Remember when Fox News was fined 980 million dollars because of what was said on one of its shows?
ABC is afraid the same thing could happen to them. The precedent has been set and the left is out of power. ABC is vulnerable.

A legal note should not relieve them from suit. I don't know whether it does or not, but it shouldn't.
They slandered a person on national Television, and having a network lawyer try to stop a suit by writing
a legal note for them does not stop the slander, or the reason they stated the lie.
It just says I lied and now i don't want to be sued.
It means I can say just about anything, and then laughing while reading some lawyer BS lets me off.

That's four "we lied and are force to tell the truth now" events in one day. These folks are such a legal liability that they all need to be fired.

The stupidity of these people is amazing. Of all the damage done to this country by Biden and Harris, they would get 100% from these harridans.

Are there any average people who even watch that show? I think that it's mostly "viewed" by conservative tv and radio hosts so that they have some fodder to keep their fans interested and fired up. I've heard many things about the View over the years, but have never given it even five minutes of my time. My awareness of it is solely through conservative news/talk shows.

Issuing some 'legal note' after publicly broadcasting a lie is not a 'get out of jail' card. It will not offer any immunity from lawsuit of claims of libel. Their lawyers are just generating a bill and hoping the injured sue anyway - mo money, mo money!
