Biden issues veto threat over ‘misguided’
GOP bill on weapons to Israel

Original Article

The White House on Tuesday said President Biden would veto a House GOP bill intended to pressure him to send weapons to Israel, calling it a “misguided reaction to a deliberate distortion of the Administration’s approach to Israel.” The push back comes ahead of an expected vote this week on the Israel Security Assistance Support Act. GOP lawmakers introduced the bill after Biden warned he would withhold certain offensive weapons for Israel if their forces invaded Rafah in Gaza. But the White House cautioned that the legislation “would undermine the President’s ability to execute an effective foreign policy.”

The bidet has an 'effective foreign policy'? DUH?? Don't tell that to anyone in Europe. They are all laughing their heads off about this clown and his clown administration. They include Russia, China and many other countries. Is that why the entire world is going up in flames? Is that his 'policy'?

The wimpy congressional Republicans must keep passing “common sense” bills, no matter that the Senate leftist and progressive Democrats effectively throw those Republican bills in file #13 or vote them down, to keep those Republican bills from landing on Biden’s desk where he would veto them and effectively show his true leftist and progressive Democrat colors that are not at all popular with the majority of prospective voters in the November election.

And the White House responds with more of its "ironclad" crap. This bill is a good idea. Even if it is vetoed, or even if it is tabled and dies in the Senate, this bill clarifies to the voters of the USA exactly who supports Israel and who supports the Iranian-supported Hamas. I would be pleased to see it pass the Senate and force Biden to veto it or sign it.

A bridge connecting Galveston, Texas, to a nearby island was struck by a barge Wednesday morning, causing an oil spill and prompting police to shut the bridge down. The Pelican Island Causeway Bridge was struck around 9:50 a.m. when a tugboat backing out of a neighboring fuel storage operator lost control of two barges it was pushing, according to the Associated Press. No injuries were reported and two crew members were recovered after going overboard, Fox 26 reported. The people stranded on Pelican Island will be removed by boat, Galveston County judge Mark Henry said. Pelican Island is home to a Texas A&M satellite campus

China’s state-run Global Times propaganda newspaper dismissed on Monday growing criticism from President Joe Biden and his administration toward Israel as a last-minute “stopgap measure” to prevent a growing number of voters on the left from abandoning his 2024 presidential campaign. Chinese regime-approved “experts” told the newspaper that Biden’s “superficial criticism” was a response to polls and not an indication of Biden’s political views. The state outlet claimed that the change in tone was indicative of America’s “hypocrisy” and a “double face” intended to amass power, one that has led to American global influence “declining immensely.” The same Global Times suggested in November, a month after the October 7 massacre

The munitions are intended to replenish stocks used during the war against Hamas, though it could take years for everything included in the deal to reach Israel. Eighteen Republican-led states are suing the Biden administration’s Equal Employment Opportunity Commission over the federal agency’s new sexual-harassment guidance that enforces broad legal protections for transgender workers. The federal lawsuit, filed on Monday by Tennessee attorney general Jonathan Skrmetti, argues that the EEOC is overstepping its constitutional limits by unlawfully placing gender identity under the purview of Title VII, which prohibits employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, and national origin. The states agree with the 2020 Supreme Court ruling, Bostock v. Clayton County, that firing employees because they are transgender or gay constitutes sex-based discrimination. The plaintiffs, however, argue that the decision does not weigh on the accommodations
