Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Nicholas Kristof wrote in his new book that the American press should not remain “neutral” when it comes to covering former President Donald Trump because of the alleged threat he poses to democracy. (snip) In his book, he warns about Trump and his allies’ alleged attempts to “undermine democracy” and establish “populist authoritarianism,” according to CNN. Kristof also argues that, in a second term, Trump could weaponize the federal government “to punish or intimidate news organizations” and even carry out “assassinations.”

First, this was on the Clown News Network, so that's about all you need to know about the credibility or reliability of any such statements. Second, it didn't happen during 45's previous term, and it won't happen in his 47 presidential term. The Left is losing it and making wild claims in hopes people may be stupid enough to believe such drivel.

Liberals are nothing if not predictable. Projection is almost like breathing, to them. This guy has just admitted the Deep State and the Dems intend to kill Donald Trump. They want power and he's NOT going to get in their way, if they can help it. He's not going to change the way power is used. Understand, Trump is at the mercy of the structures in place. They murdered JFK despite secret service. People can be compromised. Oswald may have had no idea JFK was going to be shot, and that he was merely a patsy. We are dealing with a generational conspiracy that may have thousands of members inside and outside of Washington. It's not going to be easy. And we need to make it clear, they won't survive killing Trump. We either cleanse the nation blodlessly, under Trump, or prepare to have a civil war that will make any past revolution look like a walk in the park. I don't see any other results... Except bend our necks and welcome slavery.

Some observations: Pulitzer Prizes are as meaningless as Nobel Prizes (see Krugman, Arafat, Obama, et al.) The press is to fairness as Oprah is to a size 2 "Democracy" as defined by democrats is the rest of us shutting up and doing what *they* say Kristof is worried that Trump may do what democrats have been doing since Obama supercharged the deep state (if so, Gitmo will need to add a couple of wings)

When was the last time our worthless media was neutral on anything remotely respectful of conservative or pro-American views? Isn't it interesting that a famed journalist openly encourages supposedly professional journalists to sit in judgment of Donald Trump as a "threat" to America, while ignoring the dementia ridden fool in the White House who opened our borders to 10 million unvetted illegal aliens and counting? If the US president won't control our borders, the cartels will.

"The only reason Hitler was able to rise to power was...not enough "Famed Journalists" wrote headlines comparing him to Hitler." People seem to forget, or never even heard that Kristoff quit his NYT gig, which he had ALL, of his working life to run for Governor of Oregon. This was right after Biden was elected. He was recruited by the Dem machine there...his mother is a longtime Oregon Party apparatchik....The only problem? He did not LIVE in the state, and even the state mainstream Dems rallied to keep him off the ballot, he fought it all of the way through the courts and up to the State supreme court which UNANIMOUSLY ruled he was not "Fit for Office, not a Resident". Without fanfare or much coverage by the end of 2022 he was back living in Scarsdale and running the NYT(at least the sunday edition) again. He calls Trump dictatorial but...he wrote several times about how he thought the best social structure for the entire US Society would be "The US Military", total chain of command structure, with ALL incomes, activities, housing , education, food, medical, and social services allocated and provided under the mandated command of the the General Staff.

Having served on three Manhattan juries, I would not be surprised if the 12 men and women hearing New York vs. Donald J. Trump acquitted him of all charges. Several jurors said that we should respect the justice system because, someday, we might need it to respect us. Jack Cousens, the AA’s head of roads policy, said the animals may be attracted to the soy-based insulation on brake wires. Since 2000, peanut and soy-based oils and waxes have been used on car parts including gearbox insulation, primer bulbs and diesel injector wires, instead of petroleum-based coverings.
