Facebook has been accused of 'grossly offending' Holocaust survivors and 'erasing history' after a photograph of victims was temporarily removed and 20 other posts were incorrectly flagged on the Auschwitz Memorial Museum's profile page for violating the platform's rules such as 'promoting adult nudity' and 'sexual activity'. Outraged museum staff lashed out at the social media giant on Friday evening saying that the removal or flagging of photos and biographical information of those who died in the death camp was 'hurtful to survivors, descendants, and all those committed to preserving historical truth.'

Went to Dachau in the winter of 1975 while backpacking through Europe. To this day I can't describe the pictures I saw there without losing my voice and breaking down in tears. Anyone who thinks pictures of living and dead skeletons of adults and children before and after execution is about nudity and sexual activity is neither morale nor human. Facebook should require their employees to tour one of these death camps before they are allowed to moralize on what is one of the darkest and non-sexual events in human history. Then again I'm sure they have a political agenda which seems to align with the builders of these camps who probably thought their handy work was stimulating in the sickest of ways. Eternal shame on them!

Agreed #4. I was in Dachau in 1973 and of course have never forgotten.....it was very quiet and chilling. I was able to take my 2 adult sons back in 2016; interestingly it looks completely different now as an entire landscape of trees and bushes has grown up around it. I guess we could not expect the Germans to keep it looking as realistic as possible after all those years....

Facebook's "historical truth" is that there was no such thing as a holocaust and Auschwitz does not exist.

I visited Dachau in summer of 1981. Two barracks had been rebuilt, and there was an extensive museum. But something I saw there has never been mentioned on these type of threads. Outside the gas chamber was something called the Blut Guss, blood gutter. German efficiency and the banality of evil, rolled into one. I wondered why that was there since those killed inside died from Zyklon-B poison gas. Those denying the Holocaust are basically champions of its mission.

The alarming scene that unfolded recently in Dearborn, Mich., with Muslim protesters chanting “Death to America,” has resulted in some fallout for the city’s mayor, Abdullah Hammoud. While Old Joe Biden and his henchmen are happily taking a wrecking ball to the former Land of the Free and Home of the Brave, they don’t go around telegraphing their intentions. Their friends in Dearborn were a bit too forthright about what the ultimate goal of the policies that the left and their Islamic allies really are, so reassuring words had to be uttered and the public put back to sleep.

About 100 people squeezed into City Council chambers Monday night (April 15) to express their views on BBH Pride Fest, which is scheduled for June 8 on the City Hall campus. Most of those who spoke were against the LGBTQ+ event and scolded Broadview Heights officials for allowing it on city property. “We are Broadview Heights,” resident Robert Kilo told council. “We are not Lakewood. We are not Cleveland. “This city (Broadview Heights) was destined to be one that has family values that represent all of God’s people in truth, in righteousness and in order,” said Kilo.

There were shocking scenes on the streets of New York City on Monday as Palestinian activists set fire to an American flag being held by Israel supporters while chanting 'Death to America!' right under the noses of the NYPD. There were audible gasps as the Stars and Stripes being held by a pro-Israel counter-protestor was set alight and then waved in the air - as bright yellow flames could be seen coming from the flag. Police officers stationed at the protest outside the New York Stock Exchange could be seen wrestling the flag and stamping out the fire as it was brought to the ground.

The first quarter of 2024 has seen the number of measles cases recorded in the U.S. stand significantly higher than in recent years, a report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) details. Americans have reported a total of 338 cases since January 1, 2020—and 97 cases, or 29 percent of the total, came between the start of 2024 and March 28, per the report. And as of April 11, the number of cases in 2024 had risen to 121. “What was surprising about 2024 is that we’ve seen a significant increase,” John Brownstein, an epidemiologist at Boston Children’s Hospital, told ABC News’ Mary Kekatos.

Soon the government might shut down your car. President Joe Biden's new infrastructure gives bureaucrats that power. You probably didn't hear about that because when media covered it, few mentioned the requirement that by 2026, every American car must "monitor" the driver, determine if he is impaired and, if so, "limit vehicle operation." Rep. Thomas Massie objected, complaining that the law makes government "judge, jury and executioner on such a fundamental right!" Congress approved the law anyway. A USA Today "fact check" told readers, don't worry, "There's no kill switch in Biden's bill." (Snip) The clause is buried under Section 24220 of the law.

It's hard to blame Donald Trump (aka Dozy Don) for apparently nodding off during the first day of his 'hush money' trial in New York on Monday. Yes, it's the first ever criminal trial of a former U.S. president and he's also the only leading presidential candidate ever to face criminal proceedings. Add to that the chance he could go to jail if he's found guilty and you might expect Trump to be paying close attention. But the early stages of the trial have been dominated by arcane legal arguments about procedural points and the interminable process of choosing a jury, now an unavoidable feature of American justice.
