New York Times (NYT) reporter Maggie Haberman claimed that former President Donald Trump appeared to “doze off” during the start of his hush money criminal trial in Manhattan. In an article that Haberman wrote in the NYT, Trump was described as being “alternately irritated and exhausted” as jury selection for the trial, which centers around alleged hush-money payments the former president made to adult entertainment star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential election, began. Haberman wrote: Even as a judge was hearing arguments on last-minute issues in a criminal case that centers on salacious allegations and threatens to upend his bid for the presidency, Mr. Trump appeared to

Probably the best thing he could do during this farce. It is sad that there is not one single judge, prosecutor, or official in the State of New York that will stand up and say that this is a farce I hate to root for "retribution," but I'm pretty certain the only way to stop this is to give these folks using the legal system to get their political opponents is to use their own tricks against them.

Trump is taking the wrong approach. If he blocked traffic, chanted Death To America, and burned a police station, they'd cancel all the trials.

#9, You’re definitely on to something. Trump supporters get out there and block traffic, shout Death to Justice, and defy the right of people to get where they are going. Clearly, that is the approved method of protest. We are witnessing it in real time and Hamas supporters in this country are certainly getting their message out without a lot of pushback. We know what would happen to the Trump supporters. They would be hauled off to jail and left there to rot. NYC has done it again, you are showing your dirty britches to the entire world without an ounce of regret. This trial is a fraud and farce. Anyone with a brain can see it is a totally manufactured prosecution for the purpose of harming President Trump, but let’s not forget that the democrats will reward these criminal judges and prosecutors for doing the dirty work. Democrats may want to take Trump off the campaign trail with this trial, but it is going to backfire. Regardless of the media braying for his conviction, Americans are looking at this and seeing the truth. He very well may be convicted by a biased jury but this is not going to go down as democrats planned. Americans understand injustice. We have had a masterclass during the Biden cabal and Americans are ticked off at the audacity of this administration’s willingness to use lawfare against its political opponents. This is an assault on the right of every American to receive a fair trial. We understand this administration is filled with loathsome and lawless fascists filled with such hubris and hate that they will go after a former President because they know they cannot defeat him in a fair election. This is not going to end well for Biden and his cabal. I hate seeing President Trump being dragged through the mud like this, but he will emerge stronger and more determined to defeat these fascists and Americans will be there cheering him on!

Ever been in a court room? It's mind numbingly boring. People coming and going behind doors and when the judge finally shows up, he's behind the bench for all of two minutes, then disappears behind the door again. Lots of paper shuffling and people talking to each other and nobody knows exactly what's going on and why it's taking so long.

NEW YORK – U.S. mortgage rates increased by the most since June and also crossed the 7% threshold for the first time since December, muddling home sales growth, a Thursday report said. The average rate on a 30-year fixed-rate mortgage rose to 7.10% for the week ended April 18 from 6.88% the week prior, Freddie Mac reported. The 22-basis point increase was the largest in about 10 months. “As rates trend higher, potential homebuyers are deciding whether to buy before rates rise even more or hold off in hopes of decreases later in the year,” said Sam Khater, Freddie Mac’s chief economist. “Last week, purchase applications rose modestly, but it remains unclear

Should former President Donald Trump win the 2024 election, one of his plans is to seriously reduce the federal government's regulation of banks and financial markets. This could include the outright elimination of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, among other actions. In the wake of the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression, Congress dramatically expanded the U.S. government's oversight of the financial industry to prevent a repeat of the 2008 global banking meltdown. Donald Trump would likely renew his efforts to scale back those reforms, if elected, as well as pare protections for small-scale investors and borrowers, and allow companies to raise money
