It's hard to blame Donald Trump (aka Dozy Don) for apparently nodding off during the first day of his 'hush money' trial in New York on Monday. Yes, it's the first ever criminal trial of a former U.S. president and he's also the only leading presidential candidate ever to face criminal proceedings. Add to that the chance he could go to jail if he's found guilty and you might expect Trump to be paying close attention. But the early stages of the trial have been dominated by arcane legal arguments about procedural points and the interminable process of choosing a jury, now an unavoidable feature of American justice.

Clearly, these democrat operatives are suffering from some kind of mental lapse. No sane person would ever do the things that they are doing. Their actions originate in pure hatred for the one guy who will not bend to their will. The strategy is so outrageous that it is hard to believe that educated individuals would put their reputations at risk for such made up nonsense. However, it seems their driving force is to be known as the Trump Slayer. My frustration runs deep as I sit here in the Midwest watching this debacle knowing I can do nothing about it. The worst is knowing that our Republican leadership could do so much more and they remain silent. Why are they not out there giving statements and exposing this farce? I’d like to see Ted Cruz out in front of the courthouse explaining the illegality of this prosecution. How about some of our elected Republicans showing up to offer public support? I am so disgusted with the party right now. It has been of no help whatsoever since 2020. Trump has carried this feckless party and they have the audacity to ignore him in his time of need. It is shameful.

Republicans just don't have the stomach to do what must be done. The Democrats keep doing more and more outrageously unconstitutional things, and Republicans just keep munching, thinking that as long as it's not them (yet), everything is Okey-dokey. Grandmothers thrown in jail for J6? No problem. Trans perverts allowed to use the same lockerrooms and showers as your teenage daughters? Icky, but OK. Trump being relentlessly charged and outrageously fined for made-up charges? Meh, he can afford it. What pathetic cowards! Might as well start politely lining up for the cattle cars. This will NOT be solved with any election.

Trump is known for only needing about 4 hours of sleep each night. I think his “falling asleep” is an act meant to show the whole shiite show exactly what he thinks of it. You can bet that while he’s “sleeping” and they think he is not listening, that he is hearing and cataloging everything being said.

The case hinges on the claim the payment was a campaign expense, not a business expense. The FEC ruled (correctly) that this was not a campaign expense because it was of a general purpose, akin to a new coat. The NYC case hinges on a federal statute the feds say was interpreted correctly.

You just know that a few of our international rivals are hoping these charges stick. They know, just as it was with Reagan, if DJT gets back in the White House then the days of running roughshod over the US are OVER. folks like the Iranians would suddenly go quiet. The ChiComs would have to change their whole strategy. Putin would start playing nice again. Even the illegals invading our borders know all too well what a Trump presidency would mean to them (by their own admission). Once again, we saw the whole planet change their attitude when Reagan occupied the White House. I'll bet my next six paychecks that a Trump administration would do exactly the same thing.

Former President Donald Trump’s hush money trial in Manhattan is set to hear opening arguments on Monday after a full jury of 12 jurors and six alternates were seated on Friday. Trump took to social media the night before, posting on Truth Social: Four years ago I was a very successful and popular President of the United States and, in November, went into an Election where I received more votes, by far, than any sitting President in the history of our Country. Unfortunately, the Election was Rigged and Stolen, and our once great Country has quickly become a Nation In Serious Decline.

Two high-profile Trump critics, one of whom was even touted as the presidential candidate who could topple Bad Orange in 2020, have just shown that they realize that the real threat to this tottering republic is coming not from the man they once happily joined in on hating, but from his enemies First it was the man whom Tucker Carlson indelibly dubbed the “Creepy Porn Lawyer.” Michael Avenatti, porn star Stormy Daniels’ former lawyer, is now doing time for a variety of crimes including theft and fraud. 'He's doing it again, folks. We must stop him, no matter what.' From now on, Biden decrees, Trump's Make America Great Again (Maga) movement will be designated a terrorist group. A new study out of UCLA says same-sex couples are at greater “risk of exposure to the adverse effects of climate change” than straight couples. These effects include “wildfires, floods, smoke-filled skies, and drought,” according to a report from KQED. Same-sex couples disproportionately live in coastal regions and cities, which are more vulnerable to such disasters. They’re also more likely “to live in areas with poor infrastructure, worse-built environments.” Washington DC, which rates high for “climate risks” such as heat waves, floods, and “dangerously strong winds,” has the greatest proportion of gay couples in the U.S. San Francisco ranks second, and also faces a high climate change risk.
