Remember when Rep. Hank Johnson (D-Ga.) said he was worried about Guam tipping over? Speaking about a potential military buildup on the Pacific island in 2010, Johnson said, "My fear is that the whole island will become so overly populated that it will tip over and capsize." It's taken nearly 15 years for us to see a dumber comment than that from a Democrat congressman—and trust me, there have been a LOT of contenders. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas), formerly on the House Space, Science, and Technology Committee, speaking to supporters ahead of Monday's solar eclipse, waxed poetic idiotic about the moon. Not a pesky sphere like that gassy Moon up there in the air Pssst...NASA is not going back to the Moon, private companies are, they WILL however put a Nasa Sticker on their privately made rockets and landers...for a Price..

In Texas, not far from Jackson Lee's district...Back in my younger days, I nearly brought the moon down close enough for people to touch it...I would have too...except the pretty Texas girl I promised I would lasso it for, and give it to, interrupted me, tackled me to the ground and nearly kissed me to death.

At least the Houston electorate soundly rejected this idiot's mayoral attempt last year, would be nice if her district would do the same this year.

You forgot the liberal talking head that thought warming detected on the planet, Mars was caused by Global Warming. Or the gal who said the moon was made out of gas. Strangely Earthquakes CAN be triggered if sudden significant glaciers melt, practically overnight - ice does have weight - but that has not happened for thousands of years.

One can make the argument that the Honorable Hank Johnson was making an elaborate joke when he asked if Guam could tip over. However, the ignorance of SJL, while not beyond imagination, would certainly tax Lewis Carroll or Jonathan Swift to the utmost of their creative abilities.

Last week, Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose informed the Ohio Democratic Party that Joe Biden may be left off the state's presidential ballot because the Dems would miss a crucial deadline to certify their presidential candidate. The Democratic National Convention occurs on Aug. 19, while the deadline to certify Biden's nomination so he can appear on the Ohio ballot is Aug. 7. LaRose told the Democrats they could either move the convention date or get the Ohio legislature to waive the deadline. Now, a similar problem has emerged in the state of Alabama. Alabama's Republican Secretary of State Wes Allen sent a letter to the state Democratic Party

How many federal agencies and officials knew ahead of time that the government was working with a private partner and the Chinese lab from which COVID-19 likely originated? According to Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), potentially hundreds of U.S. federal employees knew that COVID-19 could have been a result of American and Chinese development in a lab. “How vast was the Great COVID Cover-up?” asked Paul in a Fox News piece on April 9. “Well, my investigation has recently discovered government officials from 15 federal agencies knew in 2018 that the Wuhan Institute of Virology was trying to create a coronavirus like COVID-19.” Paul, who is conducting an ongoing investigation,

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s decision to select entrepreneur Nicole Shanahan as his running mate sent Democrats into a panic and justifiably so. Instead of opting for a centrist or moderate conservative to forge a strong unity ticket, Kennedy chose a radical leftist, which could only make the ticket more attractive to progressives who don’t want to vote for Joe Biden. The pick would also certainly alienate conservatives who were considering backing Kennedy in November as an alternative to Donald Trump. The panic and desperation continue. Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) is urging Shanahan to consider stepping aside because he’s concerned that the independent ticket will be a spoiler for Biden

Have you noticed lately that we can't rely on the past to guide us through this election? Changes are definitely happening. For one thing, we appear to be in the process of a major racial realignment, in which black and Latino voters are shifting to the Republican Party. Joe Biden's 2020 advantage among black voters has declined by over 20% in various polls. We're also seeing younger people undergoing the same shift. Things have changed so dramatically that it's likely to affect how Democrats campaign. We're already seeing it happen. Last week, we learned that an influential data scientist had warned major Democratic donors in a confidential memo

It's hard to believe that the Democrats seem to have decided to go all in with Joe Biden at this point when even the simplest ceremonial exercise is fraught with potential for exposing his issues. I think there's a reason his schedule tends to be very light. We reported earlier on the Univision interview that he gave where he needed a cheat sheet. How bad is it? It isn't just with interview questions where he needs a cheat sheet; it's even with the most perfunctory remarks in recognizing the Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida during their brief photo-op sit-down for reporters.

We truly live in the most absurd timeline, and that was proven again on Tuesday after MSNBC interviewed Michael Avenatti from prison to garner his "legal analysis" on Donald Trump. Once touted as a possible presidential candidate by liberal news networks due to his rabid criticism of the former president, Avenatti is currently in the clink due to multiple convictions spanning everything from extortion to embezzlement. You would think that would make him persona non grata among journalistic outlets, but you'd be mistaken. Thus, Ari Melber interviewed Avenatti, a convicted felon who is sitting in prison, as if he were a credible legal authority. You know what? Why not?

No, that headline is not satire. It sounds like it, but it's not. That's just how unhinged the radical left has become. Nothing can happen in this world without the left finding a way to play the victim card — and not even rare solar eclipses are exempt. According to a report from Adam Mahoney at Capital B News, preparations for the rare celestial event "disrupted life for many Black folks living in the state’s largest metro areas of Austin, Dallas, and Houston." I guess the message here is that white people in the path of totality weren't also disrupted by preparations for the event.

Not even a No. 1 seed — and a 7-footer to defend Donovan Clingan — could prevent Connecticut from repeating as national champions. And with their 75-60 win Monday night in Phoenix against Zach Edey and Purdue, the Huskies became the first program since Billy Donovan’s Florida teams in 2006 and 2007 to win consecutive titles. It wasn’t close by the end of the second half, either. The Huskies took a 15-point lead — expanding the six-point advantage they’d build by halftime — with seven minutes remaining, using a balanced offense, led by Tristen Newton and Stephon Castle, to take control of the game.

Sherman noted that the stakes for Trump were high. “The big story in 2016 and to some extent 2020, was that his campaign was a soap opera. It was clashing personalities, it was nonstop drama,” Sherman told Brzezinski and Scarborough.

Civil rights groups are calling for the collapsed Baltimore bridge to be renamed when it's rebuilt, citing accusations of racism against national anthem author Francis Scott Key. The Caucus of African American Leaders of Anne Arundel County in Maryland voted unanimously to call for the renaming and will lobby governor Wes Moore on the proposal, as reported by the Baltimore Banner. The caucus includes civil rights groups such as the NAACP and the National Coalition of 100 Black Women. Leaders argued that the The Star-Spangled Banner author -who the collapsed bridge was named after - was a slave owner who wrote lyrics that scholars have said 'demeaned black people.'
