Okay, my Trump-shy friends, it’s time to put aside your fussy principles about how icky Donald Trump is. This is serious, and we need all hands on deck to throw Biden overboard before he gets a whole lot more Americans killed. I get that you don’t like Trump. Let’s agree that he’s icky for the purposes of this discussion. Let’s agree that his tweets are mean, that he’s not a conservative ideologue, that he says dumb things and gets into useless fights, and that he does many other unseemly and annoying things. Let’s agree that this is all true. Let’s concede that in normal times,

This week, the Louisiana Senate voted in support of a measure that would allow state and local police to arrest anyone suspected of being in the United States illegally. This follows in the footsteps of other states that have enacted similar measures as illegal immigrants continue to come across the border.

According to Fox 8 Live, the state Senate voted 28-11 in support of S.B. 388. It now heads to the state House of Representatives (via Fox 8):
The measure calls for local and state police to do the job typically done by federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers,

Conservative criminal defense attorney and columnist Marina Medvin called it a "devastating Hostage negotiations update" because that's exactly what it is. In the ongoing negotiations between Israel and the Hamas terror organization, Hamas officials now say that "they wouldn’t commit to releasing 40 living hostages but could commit to 40 hostages total, dead or alive."
Medvin added, "Israeli military did not comment on estimates of how many hostages may remain alive."
"Instead, the militant group has been unable to confirm that it has enough civilian hostages to fulfill its end of the deal in the initial phase of the proposed plan," according to the Wall Street Journal.

"Our commitment to Israel's security against these threats from Iran and its proxies is ironclad," Presidentish Joe Biden said at a joint press conference Wednesday with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. "Let me say it again: ironclad."
Biden mumbled those meaningless words one day after demanding that Israel give Iran's Hamas proxies a unilateral ceasefire. "What I'm calling for is for the Israelis to just call for a ceasefire, allow for the next six, eight weeks total access to all food and medicine going into the country," without even a "pretty please release a hostage or two" for Hamas.

On Tuesday, I reported on the Seattle-area 11-year-old girl who wasn’t allowed to form a faith group even though her school welcomed a Pride group, a “Green” team, and many other clubs.
Is it something in the water that turns so many residents of Washington into America-hating, left-wing zealots? The Evergreen State is once again in the news as the Borderline Dance Team was forced out of the Emerald City Hoedown in Seattle Saturday, not because their act was profane, not because they broke the rules—but because their uniforms depicted the American flag. Evidently, the symbol of our country is too much for these wokesters.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas appeared before lawmakers on Capitol Hill Wednesday as Congress considers 2025 budget requests from the executive branch, and Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) was ready to go when his time to ask the impeached Biden administration official some questions.
"It gives me no joy to say this, but most Republicans don't trust you," Sen. Kennedy said to Mayorkas. "A vast majority of the American people don't trust you — that's why you've been impeached," he reminded.
"Now, my Democratic colleagues are going to try and sweep your impeachment under the rug and violate 200 years of Senate precedent in doing it," continued Sen. Kennedy,

Last week, Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose informed the Ohio Democratic Party that Joe Biden may be left off the state's presidential ballot because the Dems would miss a crucial deadline to certify their presidential candidate. The Democratic National Convention occurs on Aug. 19, while the deadline to certify Biden's nomination so he can appear on the Ohio ballot is Aug. 7.
LaRose told the Democrats they could either move the convention date or get the Ohio legislature to waive the deadline.
Now, a similar problem has emerged in the state of Alabama. Alabama's Republican Secretary of State Wes Allen sent a letter to the state Democratic Party

How many federal agencies and officials knew ahead of time that the government was working with a private partner and the Chinese lab from which COVID-19 likely originated? According to Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), potentially hundreds of U.S. federal employees knew that COVID-19 could have been a result of American and Chinese development in a lab.
“How vast was the Great COVID Cover-up?” asked Paul in a Fox News piece on April 9. “Well, my investigation has recently discovered government officials from 15 federal agencies knew in 2018 that the Wuhan Institute of Virology was trying to create a coronavirus like COVID-19.” Paul, who is conducting an ongoing investigation,

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s decision to select entrepreneur Nicole Shanahan as his running mate sent Democrats into a panic and justifiably so. Instead of opting for a centrist or moderate conservative to forge a strong unity ticket, Kennedy chose a radical leftist, which could only make the ticket more attractive to progressives who don’t want to vote for Joe Biden. The pick would also certainly alienate conservatives who were considering backing Kennedy in November as an alternative to Donald Trump.
The panic and desperation continue. Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) is urging Shanahan to consider stepping aside because he’s concerned that the independent ticket will be a spoiler for Biden

Have you noticed lately that we can't rely on the past to guide us through this election? Changes are definitely happening. For one thing, we appear to be in the process of a major racial realignment, in which black and Latino voters are shifting to the Republican Party. Joe Biden's 2020 advantage among black voters has declined by over 20% in various polls. We're also seeing younger people undergoing the same shift.
Things have changed so dramatically that it's likely to affect how Democrats campaign. We're already seeing it happen. Last week, we learned that an influential data scientist had warned major Democratic donors in a confidential memo

It's hard to believe that the Democrats seem to have decided to go all in with Joe Biden at this point when even the simplest ceremonial exercise is fraught with potential for exposing his issues. I think there's a reason his schedule tends to be very light.
We reported earlier on the Univision interview that he gave where he needed a cheat sheet.
How bad is it? It isn't just with interview questions where he needs a cheat sheet; it's even with the most perfunctory remarks in recognizing the Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida during their brief photo-op sit-down for reporters.

We truly live in the most absurd timeline, and that was proven again on Tuesday after MSNBC interviewed Michael Avenatti from prison to garner his "legal analysis" on Donald Trump.
Once touted as a possible presidential candidate by liberal news networks due to his rabid criticism of the former president, Avenatti is currently in the clink due to multiple convictions spanning everything from extortion to embezzlement. You would think that would make him persona non grata among journalistic outlets, but you'd be mistaken.
Thus, Ari Melber interviewed Avenatti, a convicted felon who is sitting in prison, as if he were a credible legal authority. You know what? Why not?
