United Steelworkers union endorses Biden,
giving him more labor support in presidential race

Original Article

The United Steelworkers Union has endorsed President Joe Biden, giving him support from another large labor union. The announcement Wednesday by the Pittsburgh-based union came less than a week after Biden voiced opposition to the planned sale of U.S. Steel to Nippon Steel of Japan, saying it’s vital that the company remain American owned and operated. The USW, which represents 850,000 workers in metals, mining, rubber and other industries, said Biden has a track record of supporting retirement security, affordable health care and laws that help workers, all important issues to its members.

They aren't so different from other blue collar workers. Nor any different from UAW who also "endorsed" Diaper Joe. They love Trump and will vote for him.

A few years ago there was a video of Trump (when President) visiting the coal country in SE Ohio near the Pennsylvania border. He was filmed with coal workers who had just gone back to work after years of idling. Stout, strong men in beards and helmets were literally sobbing like babies holding his hands. Very few pictures about Labor and the Labor movement have affected me as much!

Those greedy United Steel Workers union folks are incapable of learning. Four decades ago their excessive demands closed all of the steel mills up and down the Monongahela River and turned the mills into rust and ruin, causing the economy of local communities to collapse. Japan’s leader on Thursday issued a passionate plea for Republicans in Congress not to turn away from America’s role as a leader on the world stage, in the face of anxiety over GOP stonewalling of aid for Ukraine and growing isolationism under the influence of former President Trump. Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, addressing a joint meeting of Congress, was blunt in his criticism that lawmakers are suffering from “self-doubt” at a time when U.S. leadership is most needed. “You believed that freedom is the oxygen of humanity. The world needs the United States to continue playing this pivotal role in the affairs of nations,” Kishida said.

The House of Representatives on Wednesday blocked a bill to reauthorize Section 702 of FISA, with April 19 being the deadline to do so, but McCabe on “CNN Newsroom With Jim Acosta” advocated to renew it while admitting the act has led to misuse.

For decades, but with special force since October 7, Israel and her friends have always made the same point about Israel’s conflicts with the jihadists who attack her: Everything the jihadists say to the world’s media is propaganda; the world’s media know this but report it anyway; and hospitals are Hamas’s military headquarters and ambulances their military transport, making both legitimate military targets. Two videos (one from Bill Clinton and one from an Islamic Jihad spokesman) prove these facts to be true, and one video (from a Joe Rogan interview with Coleman Hughes) shows how Israel is completely shackled by Hamas’s tactics and the world’s complicity.
