Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe on Thursday acknowledged errors in the investigation of former President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign as he pushed for a warrantless surveillance tool’s renewal.
The FBI used a document containing opposition research on Trump to earn approval from a secret court that oversees the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) to secretly monitor campaign aide Carter Page, according to CNN. The House of Representatives on Wednesday blocked a bill to reauthorize Section 702 of FISA, with April 19 being the deadline to do so, but McCabe on “CNN Newsroom With Jim Acosta” advocated to renew it while admitting the act has led to misuse.

Prior FBI lying on FISA applications should disqualify the FBI from endorsing the new FISA. Corruption for spying on Americas cannot, I repeat, cannot be tolerated.

Errors?
you mean it should have NEVER lasted beyond the initial inquiry since it had no basis.
The FBI also knew the Steele Dossier was bogus from the get go too.
They used a meeting in the White House with Obama, Biden, Comey, Rice, and others where they determined Comey would "brief" the incoming President on the Russia information only to then turn that around to launch their investigation into the incoming Trump Administration.
Thus, they never allowed for a peaceful transition of power since they had already met (could this be a RICO violation?) in the White House prior to Trump being sworn in as #45.

There were no mistakes made. The intentional and well thought out actions, with the aid of the many pukes in the MSM, were to destroy an individual with falsehoods. As part of the group of Knotseez, Andrew "RobertMulka" McCabe needs to held fully accountable for his treasonous assault on the U.S. Constitution. Fully.

No. It's 'mistakes' like that that prove you should never have the opportunity. Get a warrant!

There is no available tool that mal-intentioned people will not use, from nuc bombs to microscopic cameras. We, the people, either provide unbreakable barriers to improper use or prohibit use.
Here, McCabe acknowledges improper use (as others note, breaking the barriers established to prevent it, and all he is asking for is a mulligan. A do-over. He must think we are Charlie Brown, and he is Lucy with a football.
Take the football away. Let FISA expire. Or, harshly penalize those who did and those who will again abuse it.

Translation from the treasonous crapweasel McCabe. Yes, there were "mistakes" made but the tool we used to spy on a duly elected President needs to be put back in place. That way we can continue to violate the Constitutional rights of Americans we don't like.

The rats must be feeling the heat now anticipating Trump's re-election. Let's see if others like Brennan, valjar, riceroni, stroke, and Comey start coming clean, too.

As I understand it, the FBI contorted the provisions of FISA to gain opposition research on the Trump campaign; that is, to spy on his campaign. The question Acosta should have asked is, “What is in the proposed new law that will prevent anything like that happening again? The answer, it seems, is nothing as long as no one is held accountable.

Sure McCabe let’s all get collective amnesia about all those unconstitutional, political, and illegal ‘mistakes’ that were made and by all means continue to weaponize the FBI against American citizens.

Why isn't McCabe in federal prison? or alternatively, hanged by his gonads in a public square. His so-called errors are an outrage.

FISA is used for millions of illegal searches every year. What act of terrorism has the FBI prevented that wasn’t one of their set-up jobs? The only “prevention” they do is recruit patsies in chat rooms, make them swear allegiance to the terror-of-the-month group, then give them dummy detonator and swarm in at the last minute to “save us”. What they are really doing is using these fake cases to justify their funding.
