Firing back at Hunter Biden’s BS games
as drama over his congressional subpoena

Hunter Biden and his lawyers are still playing games about whether he will deign to comply with a congressional subpoena. You would wish that Republicans were as ruthless about enforcing the rules as Democrats, but when faced with a 53-year-old man as entitled and spoiled as the president’s son, they are in new territory. The contrast with the Trump family could not be more stark. Unlike Hunter, who defied a House Oversight Committee subpoena to stage a press conference on Capitol Hill and later gate-crash a hearing, Don Trump Jr. testified five times for more than 40 hours to Democrat-led congressional committees without pulling any stupid stunts.

Republicans are not as ruthless towards Democrats because many of them basically *are* Democrats.

The Supreme Court wrestles with major

Conservative Supreme Court justices on Wednesday voiced support for weakening the power of federal regulators, but it was not clear whether a majority would overturn a precedent that has guided American law for four decades over everything from the safety of food and drugs to environmental protection. Billions of dollars are potentially at stake in front of a court that, like the rest of the federal judiciary, was remade during Donald Trump’s presidency by conservative interests that were motivated as much by weakening the regulatory state as social issues including abortion.

During a candlelit dinner with Mar-a-Lago members in late December, former President Donald Trump walked around the table as the conversation turned to one of the biggest decisions he’d have to make should he become the Republican nominee: Whom should he pick to be his running mate? That’s when Rep. Elise Stefanik, the hard-charging upstate New York Republican, came up, according to a person at the dinner table. Attendees around Trump raved about her viral moment just weeks before, when she grilled three university presidents at a congressional hearing about antisemitism on campus.

One hundred days ago, the previously unthinkable happened in Israel. A state, born out of adversity and war only 75 years ago, woke up to what some have since described as a threat to its very existence. On Saturday night, in Tel Aviv, the events of 7 October were commemorated by thousands of people. Uppermost on the minds of everyone were the around 130 hostages abducted by Hamas and still being held in Gaza, although some of them may not still be alive.

Former COVID czar Dr. Anthony Fauci gave closed-door testimony before Congress last week, so it’s time yet again for the Fauci Follies! The pint-size patron saint of the failed restrictionist policies that lefties and COVID crazies love simply can’t admit he’s lost a massive argument with reality. The Not-So-Good Doctor got off to a weak start in DC, surprising House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic Chair Rep. Brad Wenstrup (R-Ohio) with “how much he doesn’t recall” from the start of the pandemic.

Legal woes that would have buried a candidate have become a feature of Trump’s 2024 run as other Republicans hit campaign trail in IowaFour candidates were on the campaign trail, meeting and greeting voters in frigid Iowa. A fifth was sitting in a courtroom in rainy Washington, trying to fend off a criminal case that might land him in jail. But in the upside-down, topsy-turvy world of American politics, it is Donald Trump – not Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, Asa Hutchinson or Vivek Ramaswamy – who is expected to win the first Republican presidential nominating contest in a landslide next week.

In the last 50 years, New York has had just two mayors booted from office after a single term.Abe Beame and David Dinkins were loyal Democrats who spent years climbing the party ladder before getting to the top.But the City Hall hot seat proved to be too hot, and voters turned them out after each had served four turbulent years. The troubles they encountered were distinct to their personalities and tenures, but the men shared a common malady. Both appeared to be overmatched by the enormous demands of the job.

Arab, Muslim and younger voters face a choice between Biden, who does little to stop mass Palestinian death, and the xenophobic Trumpe have a chaotic and unpredictable election year ahead. That would normally elicit anxiety, but mostly I’m feeling hopeless. The election is less than a year away, and Joe Biden’s approval rating has sunk to its lowest level yet, clocking in at a paltry 38%, according to a recent Washington Post average of 17 different polls. Biden’s unblinking support for Israel and unwillingness to demand a ceasefire has made dear Uncle Joe appear to many as just another callous politician, numb to Palestinian suffering.

Willis hired Wade as a special prosecutor in 2021 and financially benefitted from their relationship, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution

Ensuring the integrity of elections is... a fundamental requirement to support the legitimacy of the American democratic republic. We do not have to speculate about the motives of The 65 Project. The head of the group has admitted that their goal is "to deter right-wing talent from signing on to any future GOP efforts" to challenge elections, not only by bringing bar complaints but to "shame them and make them toxic in their communities and their firms." The 65 Project's straight-faced motto, incidentally, is, "Defending Democracy and the Rule of Law." If only! We are witnessing a shift in the legal system from lawyers representing and defending clients to lawyers becoming the accused,

When the FBI arrested billionaire financier Jeffrey Epstein on July 6, 2019, at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey, disgusting revelations of his sex trafficking crimes surfaced. So did his mysterious, monied world — populated by A-listers, politicians, and captains of industry. Among the bizarre revelations was an oil painting hanging prominently in his Upper East Side townhouse. Dubbed “Parsing Bill,” the colorful work by Australian artist Petrina Ryan-Kleid shows former President Clinton wearing a blue dress and red heels while lounging in the Oval Office.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last week that Israel cannot defeat Hamas — that there is no “military solution,” and that Israel will have to accept a Palestinian state. Netanyahu reportedly rejected the idea. NBC News reported Wednesday that Blinken, and Biden, are therefore trying to work around Netanyahu — the democratically-elected leader of Israel — in a departure from the Biden administration’s posture as the supposed defender of democratic ideals: Blinken told Netanyahu that ultimately there is no military solution to Hamas, according to the officials, and that the Israeli leader needs to recognize that or history will repeat itself and violence will continue. But,

Holder said, “I think a second Trump term, and this is something voters need to keep in mind, a second Trump term would have a politicized, weaponized United States Department of Justice.” He continued, “You have to look at what it is they’re talking about. That is the Trump campaign, the former president himself and think of the America they’re trying to create. You would have a president who is beyond the reach of the law,

Rice University is offering an 'Afrochemistry' class that promises to analyze science through a 'contemporary African-American lens'. Marketed as 'the study of black-life matter', a play on words merging science jargon with the Black Lives Matter movement, the course begins this semester. The course description on the university's website explains students will 'apply chemical tools and analysis to understand black life in the US' and 'implement African American sensibilities to analyze chemistry'. 'Diverse historical and contemporary scientists, intellectuals, and chemical discoveries will inform personal reflections and proposals for addressing inequities in chemistry and chemical education,' it read. Many Black activists are agitating for two things. One, they want reparations for the enslavement of some of their ancestors centuries ago, a small fraction of which is to be paid by the people whose ancestors were the enslavers, and a large fraction of which is to be paid by people like me whose ancestors back then were raiding rival clans in the Scottish Highlands without ever setting eyes on a Black person in their entire poor, nasty, brutish and short lives. Two, they want to reinstitute racial segregation. They want Black dorm buildings in college, Black classes, Black this and Black that,

An article by New York Post legendary gossip columnist Cindy Adams reports Barack and Michelle Obama are angling to replace Joe Biden with former First Lady Michelle as the Democrats’ 2024 presidential nominee. Obama world was rocked when Donald Trump short-circuited the Obama revolution to remake America when he defeated would-be Obama successor Hillary Clinton in 2016 and has taken merciless revenge on President Trump ever since. Barack Obama is thought by many to be the behind the scenes power of the Biden presidency. But with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris having some of the worst polling numbers

New evidence confirms there’s a storm brewing in the Democratic Party. A source from Barack Obama’s inner circle just leaked that the former president is worried that Biden “very well could lose.” Meanwhile, David Axelrod – a key political strategist for Obama – warned Biden that his campaign needed to ramp up ASAP or he should drop out of the race altogether. “I understand [Biden] was irritated because I raised concerns that many, many Democrats had,” said Axelrod. “And again, my feeling is either get out or get going.” But Obama and Axelrod are not alone in this assessment. Republican presidential contender Nikki Haley ruled out the possibility of serving as vice president in comments to New Hampshire voters on Friday, amid speculation that former president Donald Trump might tap Haley to balance out his ticket if her own presidential ambitions don’t pan out. “I’ve said from the very beginning: I don’t play for second. I don’t want to be anybody’s vice president. That is off the table,” Haley told diners at a restaurant in Amherst, New Hampshire, according to a Politico reporter who overheard the comments. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a veiled rebuke to U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Thursday night, pushing back against Blinken’s claim that Israel could not defeat Hamas in Gaza, and that it should accept a Palestinian state. Without naming Blinken specifically, Netanyahu criticized those who, he said wanted to tie Israel’s hands and said that Israel could not win. On Wednesday, reports emerged that Blinken had told Netanyahu last week that Israel would not succeed in destroying Hamas’s military capabilities — an assertion at odds with Israel’s ongoing military success, and strong Israeli public support for the war. Blinken and the Biden administration also want Israel to accept

The intrigue over who Donald Trump will pick to be his vice president on the 2024 Republican ticket he's presumed to be leading is growing. A recent report placed Rep. Then there's Nikki Haley, who has reportedly been under consideration for a while, even as she remains in the primary race. On that front, when the Trump campaign had a chance to put the Nikki Haley issue to bed once and for all, they chose not to, instead only ruling out Vivek Ramaswamy. What that says is that the former president's closest advisors

Smith has repeatedly endeavored to speed up the timeline of the case in order to maintain the scheduled March 4 trial date. Garland said he is in agreement with Smith about accelerating the trial in the interview with CNN justice correspondent Evan Perez on “CNN This Morning.” (snip) “Special prosecutors followed the facts and the law,” Garland responded to a question about whether the case should have been brought sooner. “They brought cases when they thought they were ready.”
