There is no such thing as Islamophobia. Phobia is an unfounded and irrational fear of something. The fear non-Muslims have of Islam and Muslims is neither unfounded nor irrational. Fourteen bloody centuries of aggression, cruelty, murder and rape is proof enough. So many people in these 1400 years have died because of not being Muslim that if a few are killed because they are Muslim, I am not shedding any tears over it.

We travel to France frequently. But we spend little time in Paris. There are whole areas of Paris where no non-Muslim should go. Every large city, especially those in the South of France have huge Muslim population, usually self ghettoized, a world unto themselves. To say it is a dangerous is an understatement. Someone told me a few years back, if there is anything you want to see in Europe, you have 20 years tops to travel safely. I think my friend might have been over optimistic. As it is we have a few more of the rural areas we would like to spend time in in Europe. We feel safe in the country villages. But in the cities, just stay in tourist zones only and keep your guard up at all times. Also, buy every kind of anti-theft item possible and have all your CC and bank numbers available to lock everything down if necessary. Safest place we have been... Switzerland, by a mile. Expensive but I felt completely safe day and night. It was impressive.

A local buyer taking over a struggling newspaper in the 21st century is normally cause for some celebration. But The Baltimore Sun’s newly announced owner has a very specific political background, and some are concerned about what the 187-year-old publication could become. David D. Smith, executive chairman of the Sinclair broadcasting chain and an active contributor to conservative causes, has bought Baltimore Sun Media from the investment firm Alden Global Capital. The purchase price was not disclosed. Smith met with Sun employees on Tuesday to talk about his plans, saying he hopes to make the newsroom more profitable. He was not made available for an interview with The Associated Press.

This bit of news actually surprises me. It doesn’t surprise me that the Hostages and Missing Families Forum would create a powerful and published public service announcement (“PSA”) highlighting what happened in Israel on October 7 and the ensuing hostage crisis. What does surprise me is that movie theaters across America, as well as Hulu (a Disney-owned company) will be showing it in the coming days as part of the trailers they routinely screen before running a picture or TV show. The PSA is filmed to look like the trailer for an upcoming thriller or horror movie. It ends by reminding viewers that this is the real horror that Israel

Now that Claudine Gay is out as Harvard's president on evidence that she plagiarized research and failed to counter antisemitism on campus, Harvard's elites are steaming with fury. They had, after all, signed a letter urging that the university keep her and her wokester policies on board. But that wasn't the worst of it. The biggest indignity was in the knowledge of who took her down: Not a top Harvard scholar but a lowly Harvard night school student with the equivalent of a master's degree named Christopher Rufo, writing on his humble Substack. He was the one who found the plagiarism. And here's a Harvard professor who let the cat out of the bag:

The resignation of Harvard president Claudine Gay has sent shockwaves through America’s elite institutions. Commentators across the political spectrum, habituated to years of submission to DEI orthodoxy, have been asking: How did it happen? As one of the journalists and activists who worked on this campaign and watched it develop from the inside, I was happy to oblige. The following is a reprint of our interview, first published at Politico under the headline, “We Sat Down With the Conservative Mastermind Behind Claudine Gay’s Ouster.” Politico: How much credit do you think you deserve for Gay’s resignation?

Claudine Gay ended her tenure Tuesday as the shortest president in the history of Harvard University, yet her resignation statement didn’t acknowledge the scandals that led to her ouster—instead suggesting that racism was to blame. The incident arguably illustrates the effectiveness of conservative critics in drawing attention to Gay’s many scandals, and the fecklessness of a university so rooted in diversity, equity, and inclusion that it refuses to acknowledge the ideological roots of the scandal. Gay, who became Harvard’s president in September 2023, testified about antisemitism on campus at a Dec. 5 hearing in the House of Representatives.

The “Bible” of the English Language, the Oxford English Dictionary of 1932, defined the word “ghoul” as “An evil spirit supposed in Mohammedan countries to rob graves and prey on human corpses.” That sounds right. The world was even treated to a display of this on October 7 when an army of Jihadist Arabs violently raped not only living Jewish females but also their dead bodies. One can also assume that they sodomized the remains of dead Jewish men and boys too. From reports by survivors of captivity in Gaza, there is reason to believe, given what is known of Arab sexuality, that the remaining men and boy hostages

With the passing of Rosalynn Carter, former President Jimmy Carter lost his lifetime partner, and my deepest sympathies go out to him and his family. The former first lady’s death, however, reminded me of something relevant to election integrity that many Americans may not realize: Organized voter fraud in Jimmy Carter’s first run for office stole his election. The only reason Carter ended up in office when he did is because he claimed publicly that he had won and went to court to fight to overturn the election. Apparently, that’s considered a criminal act in Georgia today and can get you charged with violating the state’s racketeering law.

The manifestations of the disorder are too numerous to cite, but the explosion of the DEI plague being pushed by the government, many businesses, and the intellectual pigmies in most of the media, must be included in any list of the most egregious. There is a brand of this particular wokeness that is relatively unknown to the general public, but that is particularly irrational and dangerous. It is the Federal Aviation Administration’s relatively young DEI mandates. These Biden/Buttigieg DEI commands now apply to the employment of FAA air traffic controllers in an insidious way,

The board said: Iowa Republicans who will gather on Monday to cast the first votes of the 2024 presidential campaign season, and voters in New Hampshire and the states that will follow, have one essential responsibility: to nominate a candidate who is fit to serve as president, one who will ‘preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.’

Walgreens is closing a store in a lower income neighborhood of Boston due to rampant theft and the people who live there are outraged. They’re actually protesting the store over news of the closure. This is a familiar chain of events in liberal cities. The Democrats who run the city allow theft and don’t punish criminals. Then the store decides to close and suddenly everyone is angry at the store instead of the people who actually caused the problem. This is going to happen in more and more cities until Democrats decide they want to punish crime.

The tunnels may run for anywhere between 350 to 450 miles, and boast a staggering 5,700 entrance shafts, senior Israeli officials told The New York Times. The new estimates – which could not be confirmed – are over 100 miles longer than the original numbers, which placed the tunnel network at around 250 miles long, the outlet noted. The tunnels’ vastness is “extraordinary” given that Gaza’s longest point only stretches about 25 miles, the Times said.
