Fetterman Sides With Republicans Again

Original Article

Posted By: DW626, 1/13/2024 3:04:59 PM

In a rare move, Democrat Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) is receiving praise from Republicans after criticizing his own party’s stance on several issues. Fetterman has slammed the Democratic Party’s progressive “Squad” who refuse to condemn the Hamas terrorist attacks on Israel. He questioned why the United States hasn’t yet destroyed Hamas, adding that every terrorist killed is "one more step" toward peace. The Democrat has stood by his pro-Israel stance, angering members of his party who believe more should be done to help Gaza despite Hamas raping and heinously killing innocent Israelis.

Comments:

Can’t help but wonder if Dr. Oz would be saying these things if he were elected.

Well, color me surprised by some of Fetterman's stances. Perhaps he has really recovered, and his brain is working again.

"Every terrorist killed is one more step towards peace." Write than on the blackboard 50 times and you'll be ahead. This should be a required exercise for all politicians, like kids held after school in the old days.

He can say anything he wants to, but he is still voting with the Democrats. He could only redeem himself by switching his party affiliation. He could get a pass on his past errors by claiming he has just begun to recover from a mental impairment. Words have no value without corresponding action.

Is it possible that he suffered brain damage such that holding opposite and untrue positions just isn't possible for him to process or spin? Much like someone is more likely to be honest with too much alcohol, or too tired. It's just easier to be truthful and say what your thinking, not what your supposed to say.

Watching the Ice Bowl on TV 3 replies

Mother Nature will be a factor in this weekend’s football games. So I’m reminded of the one they called “The Ice Bowl.” Our family arrived in the U.S. from Cuba in September 1964. We were relocated to Wisconsin by a church, and I found myself falling in love with the Packers. The Braves moved to Atlanta in 1965, and most of my friends in school were furious with the team. So Lombardi’s Packers were the only local team around. (I did love the 1965 A.L. champion Minnesota Twins because they had four great Cuban players, but that’s for another post.) On December 31, 1967, the Ice Bowl,

Dr. Anthony Fauci “should go to prison” for mishandling the COVID-19 pandemic and making the “worst decision ever made by a public health official in the history of time” regarding the origins of the deadly outbreak, Sen. Rand Paul charged Sunday. Paul, a Kentucky Republican and eye doctor, has repeatedly clashed with Fauci over mask-wearing, lockdowns and other emergency measures ordered and recommended by the then-director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). “History should judge him as a deficient person who made one of the worst decisions in public health history — in the entire history of the world,” Paul said

The poem by Emma Lazarus on the base of the Statue of Liberty was gospel for the Democratic Party under President Donald Trump. Airhead CNN personality Jim Acosta made a name for himself quoting the “Give us your tired, your poor” lines like they were legally binding and not just part of an old fundraising pitch to the public to raise money to build the statue’s base. These Democrats were outraged any government impediments would be put in place to hinder the endless flow of illegal aliens into the country. Now that they’re getting a big dose of their own medicine, those Democrats are singing a different tune.

Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) is fighting for his political life, and he knows it. The embattled New Jersey Democrat was slapped with a superseding indictment where he allegedly helped the Qatari government in return for lavish gifts. Menendez is already facing corruption charges and acting as a foreign agent vis-à-vis his relationship with Egyptian officials. When federal agents raided his home last September, over $400,000 were stuffed in various items of clothing, along with gold bars, which appears to be a sticking point with a lot of his Democratic colleagues. The Garden State liberal has faced corruption charges before, thus far avoiding conviction.

Harvard may assume the forced resignation of its president, Claudine Gay, has finally ended its month-long scandal over her tenure.

Gay stepped down, remember, amid serious allegations of serial plagiarism --without refuting the charges. She proved either unable or unwilling to discipline those on her campus who were defiantly antisemitic in speech and action.

But Gay's removal is not the end of Harvard's dilemma. Rather, it is the beginning.

In the respective press releases from both Gay and the Harvard Corporation, racial animus was cited as a reason for her removal.

Gay did not even refer to her failure to stop antisemitism on her campus or her own record of blatant plagiarism.

While Republican primary voters think Donald Trump is their best shot in November, it's Nikki Haley who right now holds a bigger lead over Joe Biden than either Trump or Ron DeSantis in potential head-to-head match-ups. In fact, as the GOP presidential nomination kicks off, Trump, Haley and DeSantis all have at least a slight national edge on President Biden right now, were they to emerge as his challenger. (Haley and DeSantis have tougher roads to get that chance, of course, since they trail Trump substantially in the race for the nomination.) What's behind Haley's lead? Here's why Haley has such a lead over Biden:
