Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has been in the news lately more for what he didn't do than what he did. As we wrote previously, Austin kept almost everyone in the White House in the dark about his whereabouts--when he was actually in the hospital, recovering from a major surgery in the wake of a cancer diagnosis. You can count on the fingers of Capt. Hook's left hand how many people have been fired in this administration. Well, one, Sam Brinton, as I recall. This despite Ol' Joe's bold declaration that he would fire anybody "on the spot" for this or that. What hooey. It speaks volumes, truly, about the arrogance and insularity—and untouchability—of the indistinct crew who are driving this administration.

One of the things that bothers me most about this administration is their "In Your Face" defiance of all rules, regulations, laws, justice and norms! That 3/4's of the American People have lost confidence in him and them matters little to them. They relish in it and their abuse of power!

as I recall President Trump was criticized for dismissing or moving people around in his admin. It is what leaders do when employees are not fulfilling expectations. DJT made some poor hiring decisions but he was quick to correct them. The major issue is always the positions where Senate approval is required.

Biden is not about to fire a Black cabinet member in an election year. Austin most likely wanted to keep his medical condition private and knew that if he had told people at the Pentagon or the White House that he had prostate cancer that it would be leaked to the media and the world. That happened anyway.

One of climate alarmists’ favorite predictions is that the Arctic is losing its ice due to global warming, something elites have claimed for decades. New data shows, however, that Arctic ice is actually increasing! Climate has always changed and will continue to do so until the real apocalypse (not the fake one climate alarmists have been predicting as imminent for decades). With more than 50 years of failed climate change predictions behind them and a track record of consistent and total untrustworthiness, you’d think that the doom prophets would have given up. Throughout the Biden presidency, there's been a constant refrain that eliminating fossil fuels will solve all our environmental problems. A big part of that narrative is the push to encourage, cajole, and force everyone into buying electric vehicles (EVs). The disadvantages of EVs are obvious. They're more expensive than gas-powered cars and don't have a long enough range for traveling, but both facts are lost on the elite leftists who think that EVs are the answer to every question. The charging infrastructure is lacking, and it won't be sufficient to support extensive EV use for a long time. Remember Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm's disastrous EV roadshow

Just recently, ahead of the anniversary of Jan. 6, President Joe Biden gave a speech near Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, to kick off his 2024 campaign. His theme was that the upcoming presidential election will determine whether or not America remains a democracy because a vote for Donald Trump is a vote to end democracy in America. Politically speaking, the purpose of the speech was clear. Given that Biden has among the lowest favorability numbers ever recorded for a sitting president, he cannot make the election about his achievements. Because he has none that warrant his reelection. In every way, he has made America a worse country.
