Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has been in the news lately more for what he didn't do than what he did. As we wrote previously, Austin kept almost everyone in the White House in the dark about his whereabouts--when he was actually in the hospital, recovering from a major surgery in the wake of a cancer diagnosis. (Snip) But I need to highlight the direction the Biden Administration has been leaning in answering media questions about the man who is supposed to be running the Pentagon right now. My colleague Streiff wrote on Jan. 7 that despite Biden not being told about Austin's condition until Tuesday:
The White House says Austin has

You can count on the fingers of Capt. Hook's left hand how many people have been fired in this administration.
Well, one, Sam Brinton, as I recall.
This despite Ol' Joe's bold declaration that he would fire anybody "on the spot" for this or that. What hooey.
It speaks volumes, truly, about the arrogance and insularity—and untouchability—of the indistinct crew who are driving this administration.

One of the things that bothers me most about this administration is their "In Your Face" defiance of all rules, regulations, laws, justice and norms!
That 3/4's of the American People have lost confidence in him and them matters little to them. They relish in it and their abuse of power!

Suppose he has a "lapse of judgement" and bombs the wrong city. But he is a dem and there is ALWAYS a reason why the laws and rules do not apply to them.

He probably knows to much on Biden to get fired. Job security.

his 'lapse of judgment,' just the latest of a string, also exposed a lack of reasonable systems in place in his department. i mean really: his #2 couldn't be bothered to send out an e-mail despite the flu? not my idea of fighting trim at all. the place appears to be weak, mismanaged, suffering from rot and ill-prepared for the spontaneous - so not my idea of an ideal
Defense department.

When real adult Americans take back power--if they ever manage to dodge the electoral cheating--the DOD and the Pentagon need fumigating after being purged.

Lloyd Affirmative Action is to the Briben Administration as Claudine Gay is to the Harvard Corporation: he's their DEI trophy, and they've invested too much time and effort in puffing him up to throw him overboard now.

"Austin Had Lapse in Judgment, but WH Has Not Lost Confidence Him at Pentagon" because he's black. This is what you get with affirmative-action quality appointees.

as I recall President Trump was criticized for dismissing or moving people around in his admin. It is what leaders do when employees are not fulfilling expectations. DJT made some poor hiring decisions but he was quick to correct them.
The major issue is always the positions where Senate approval is required.

Poster 11 cited “ lack of reasonable systems.” That is a very good point. This fiasco proves there are no “reasonable systems” in place at the DOD and at the WH. Incompetent idiots are in charge of national security.

Seems like most of Biden's cabinet are the "lapse in judgement" types. That's exactly what we need when at least two wars entangle us.

Biden is not about to fire a Black cabinet member in an election year. Austin most likely wanted to keep his medical condition private and knew that if he had told people at the Pentagon or the White House that he had prostate cancer that it would be leaked to the media and the world. That happened anyway.

As Coach Nick Saban once said, in talking to his team: "If you don't show up tomorrow will anybody miss your a$$?". Guess Lloyd Austin knows the answer to that question. Roll Tide.

"Lapses in judgement".....yep, as expected because he's an incompetent affirmative action hire, not actually up to the requirements of the job, and only there because of his skin color.
