Trump: DeSantis Could Have Fallen in Polls
Due to Abortion Stance, I Want 'Something

During a town hall on the Fox News Channel on Wednesday, 2024 Republican presidential candidate former President Donald Trump responded to a question on him blaming abortion for some Republican election losses and criticism of heartbeat laws by stating that he has to have life of the mother, rape, and incest exemptions, but beyond that “I want to get something where people are happy.” And “we’re going to come up with something that people want and people like.” And he thinks that rival 2024 Republican candidate Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ abortion position might have been the reason for him sliding in the polls because “if you talk

How about we keep the federal government out of it and let the states decide. Someone has Trump's ear and it is not sounding too good. If I could only be sure Vivek isn't a plant, I'd vote for him.

Doing what is right does not necessarily make one happy. Your feelings should not matter in this kind of debate. It’s cut and dried. Is it murder or not? I believe it is and therefore, how I feel about it really doesn’t matter. Anyway, anything less than abortion on demand with zero restrictions is the only thing that will make the left happy. This is a matter of right versus wrong. Good versus evil. We do not pass laws regarding murder because doing so makes us happy. Bad choice of words. We pass those laws because it is the right thing to do.

I don't like that he plans to monkey with this again. I am confident that Louisiana will stand strong on this issue. I don't want the federal government to come back in and mandate abortion rights here. It is very telling when any politician says life of the mother and not "physical life of the mother". That is how they have gotten away with abortion for decades - saying the mother's mental health was at risk if they can't get an abortion.

No matter how loyal President Trump’s supporters may be, “murder” cannot be justified. Tragically, many people do not “think” about their personal Judeo-Christian accountability when it comes to voting; for many, nothing matters except voting for candidates and/or issues aligned with their preferred political party. They do not connect the dots in terms of the Commandment, “Thou shalt not murder.” Or consider Peter’s allegiance when he said, “We must obey God rather than men.” (Acts 5:29) Serious consideration needs to be given to the horror of late-term abortions, infanticide, harvesting of organs and tissue from late-term fetuses, and research using human fetal tissue—painful, unconscionable infliction being imposed on God’s gift of a human child. We can only hope and pray for such enlightenment on behalf of "unwitting" people of faith. Without a religious foundation, people do not know, or refuse to believe, what is written in Scripture. Citizens are to submit to governing authorities, except when God’s laws prevail over man’s laws. Romans 13:1-2 - Submission to the Authorities: “Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.” ~ “But Peter and the apostles answered, ‘We must obey God rather than men.’” (Acts5:29) Prayer is powerful and prayers are needed to change President Trump’s unfortunate, misguided stance on abortion. Making mankind happy is not what matters; following God’s laws matters. There are no concessions to be made when it comes to God’s laws; God’s laws prevail over man’s laws. Seeking to please mankind by violating God’s laws risks forfeiting one’s soul. To follow our Lord, Scripture teaches: ~ “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.” (Matthew 7:13-14) ~ “Then Jesus told his disciples, ‘If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?’” (Matthew 16:24-26) “We must make a great difference between God's Word and the word of man. A man's word is a little sound, that flies into the air, and soon vanishes; but the Word of God is greater than heaven and earth, yea, greater than death and hell, for it forms part of the power of God, and endures everlastingly. ... Christians fight best on their knees. Whatever good may be done is done and brought about by prayer.” (Martin Luther)

Joe Biden seems to have great confusion about the Houthis. Earlier on Friday, as he was wandering around some Allentown, Pennsylvania, stores looking frighteningly confused, he was asked about Iran and the Houthis. He was asked whether we were in a proxy war with Iran. He said no, but it's beginning to look like it. We certainly have been in a bit of a cold war with them for a while. But he claimed that Iran didn't want war with us. Then he said he believed the Houthis were terrorists. That seemingly went against his policy of delisting them when he came into

Americans are divided on how the U.S. Supreme Court should handle former President Donald Trump’s ballot access, but a majority in a new ABC News/Ipsos poll say they would support the court either barring Trump from presidential ballots nationally or letting states take that step individually. The national poll finds a close division on state-level rulings barring Trump from the ballot in Colorado and Maine, 49-46%, support-oppose. On next steps, 56% are willing to see him disqualified in all or some states, including 30% who say the high court should bar him in all states and 26% who say it should let each state decide.

WASHINGTON — The U.S. military early Saturday struck another Houthi-controlled site in Yemen that it had determined was putting commercial vessels in the Red Sea at risk, two U.S. officials said, a day after the U.S. and Britain launched multiple airstrikes targeting Houthi rebels. Associated Press journalists in Sanaa, Yemen’s capital, heard one loud explosion. The first day of strikes Friday hit 28 locations and struck more than 60 targets. However, the U.S. determined the additional location, a radar site, still presented a threat to maritime traffic, one official said. The officials spoke anonymously to the AP to discuss an operation that hadn’t yet been publicly announced.

The CIA has been providing Israel information on senior Hamas leaders and the location of the remaining hostages the terrorist organization has kidnapped in Gaza, according to a Friday report by The New York Times citing US officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity. The US hasn't provided Israel with intel on "low or midlevel Hamas operatives," the report said. Additionally, the report cites some of the US officials' belief that targeting low-level Hamas members is "misguided" because "they can be easily replaced and because of the unwarranted risk to civilians." They have also said

While many American cities continue to struggle with proliferation of homeless camps in their parks and on their sidewalks, the U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to hear a case that could determine if enforcing bans on those camps is a violation of the Constitution. The Supreme Court on Friday agreed to review an appellate court ruling in Johnson v. Grants pass, one of two Ninth Circuit rulings that limited the ability of municipalities to enforce camping bans against involuntarily homeless people with nowhere else to go and when there is not enough shelter space for all of them. Critics say the rulings have supercharged the proliferation of homeless camps
