When Amalija Knavs passed away on January 9th, President Trump and his attorneys requested that Arthur Engoron, the judge presiding over Trump’s New York civil fraud trial, grant a postponement for closing arguments, so that the president could be with Melania as they mourned their family’s loss. Engoron offered phony condolences, saying he was “sorry to hear the sad news,” but promptly denied the request, writing in an email to Trump’s counsel, “I WILL NOT GRANT ANY FURTHER EXTENSIONS.”

It is not just AG Leticia James and Judge Engoron who are openly using the law for political vendetta. Every Democrat including your family members will tell you to your face that the whole purpose of the justice system is to destroy Republican opponents of the Democratic Party. That's why James ran a successful campaign not by promising equal justice under law but "getting Trump, his family, and his friends by any legal means necessary." This naked politicization of the justice system is praised and not criticized by all Democrats and all of their media allies. When you accuse them of naked politicization of the justice system their answer is always "Yeah, so?"
